It's nice there's some accurate construction info about these towers. There's some misinformation being put out by somebody cause a lot of ignorant people think they where "poorly built" & "mostly aluminum & glass"!?! These reasons have been given as an explanation for them collapsing like there weren't any core colums, idiots. A lot of planning & work went into this project, they where far from fragile. I found this very interesting & educational, thanks for posting it

when they show glimpses of the city out of those windows, it is very eerie. You can't help but think of the people who glimpsed those scenes for the last time on 9/11 and some of them who chose to end it before the towers fell. Its just really...upsetting :(

and it was all destroyed in 10 seconds..........its a bit like the titanic...something so beautiful and big but was so completely destroyed in almost no time at all

I personally understand why they aren't build the towers on the same sight on which they were destroyed because honestly would like to in a building built on top of a sight where thousands of people died that would like scare me if i was working late at night

the first freedom tower design was a piece of shit,

but I really do like the new design, sure the 200ft concrete base is weird but I like the way the tower appears to twist 45 degrees, the boxiness is kind of symbolic of the original towers

also 2 World Trade Center is a great design, i love the diamond shaped roof, it is very unique

3 World Trade Center isn't bad either, but 4 World Trade Center is a little boring

They were so beautiful despite the fact that they were nothing more than a really tall square box, lol. Its so hard to watch this show knowing that so many people shown in this may have died on 9/11.

Honestly, they were beautiful, obviously. I think there should be two freedom towers, one in the place of each of the destroyed towers. Personally, I think, if the towers were built exactly the way they were no one could look at them without imagining the terror of 9/11. The new WTC is a way of moving forward in my opinion.

the twin towers 2 should be built instead of the freedom dustbin .they resemble freedom and independence .if the sears tower was destroyed they would built it exactly the same way

ya know i was saying why the freedom tower why why why but your seconed to last statement. the images of 911 are very hard for me to watch and i have trouble keeping those awful images out of my mind. i kept saying why the freedom tower but you just said what nobody has thought of. great sentence!

Thanks. Also if we rebuilt the WTC similar or exactly the way it was, would anyone want to work there or visit there knowing that 2500 died in identical buildings in exactly the same footprint. Imagine being on the 86th floor of the North Tower and knowing that just a few feet away from where your standing know people burned to death and people jumped to escape the blazing inferno. If we make it to similar then people are just going to keep having flashbacks of 9/11.

I say we build taller buildings, overlooking the place where the twin towers are, with museums for 9-11 in honor of those who died. As well as making them 10x stronger, safely engineered, easier to exit, and more efficient, with newer technologies, and more durable materials.

Just the way any American does anytime they see a picture of the WTC. The new WTC should resemble the past WTC, but not be exactly the same in a way that all we see is the horror of that day. The freedom tower resembles the north tower and an identical freedom tower without the spiral sphere on top would resemble the south tower, yet be different enough that images of 767s smashing into the buildings wouldn't go through our heads anytime we saw it.
