  • It is deeply grossing me out to see European actor playing native american when there is abundant pure blooded Apaches or their close cousins - Navajos. I am not racist, but I like historical accuracy in both events and processes.

Just compare Jeff Chandler with rest of the Apaches. He looks plain different among them. Lets imagine what kind of fury would arise if Apache actor played king David, or Aimara actress into Queen Elizabeth.

  • @dizzhonest It's a movie strictly for entertaining..thats all..

  • @dizzhonest LOL My old daddy used to say, "see all those Italian Indians?" He used to think it was pretty funny. "While Indians are everywhere, Hollywood has to make up Indians."

  • what is the name of the actor that playes cochise? he looks so familiar.

  • WHAT A JOKE! Many of these old westerns SUCK and are filled with HOLLYWOOD LIES. They always make the "NOBLE Native American" stand up for the white man while still getting shafted by the white man. AND the fight scenes are so RETARDED! You hardly ever see a Native American beat a white man in hand-to-hand combat in those ANCIENT western films. And the APACHES were known to be great knife fighters - SEE "DEADLIEST WARRIOR." (Apache vs. Gladiator).

  • Geronimo was a product of his environment, The Apache had been raiding/fighting w/ the Spanish & Mexican for decades before the Whites showed up. The whole battle was a mistake. The California-based regiment was enroute to attack then Confederate Texas. This battle took place during the early days of the Civil War that the Apache had no knowledge of. They acted to defend themselves, losing two of its greatest leaders Colorado and his son Mangus Colorado.

  • drystyx, How could anyone say anything so cold about Geronimo? So he should have done nothing when the Mexicans came and killed all his women and children? His mother, his wife and his 2 little girls? Then The US army killed so many of the people so they could have their lands and everything they got! They wanted them on resevations with nothing! In Turkey creek you couldn't grow corn in the sand, nor could they raise cattle, they all died and plus the army wanted them to live with even less!

  • @AngieCosco They killed So many apache and all you can say is that Geronimo was the killer? What do you call the Grey Wolf Brother? Nantan Loupan, General Crook. So they should have just let themselves be defeated and killed? They won Honors in WAR! Geronimo said: We do many bad things in war that we do not had we'Ve been friends. He was a prisoner of War, not a killer. The White has killed 10 times the number of Indians than they could ever fight back and kill. Indians lost everything.

  • @AngieCosco Now You! You have it ALL............

  • @AngieCosco RIGHT ON! That's telling him! GERONIMO was supposed to take all those CRIMES committed against him and his people and not do anything?! I think he was a FREEDOM FIGHTER for his people. GERONIMO was just a very MILITANT person, born to be a WARRIOR.

  • These older films were closer to the era and not clouded with modern lies. The fact is that Geronimo was a monster, a nineteenth century Charles Manson, and his own people knew him as such. This much is accurate.

  • @drystyx you eyes are brownthe namestinks too
