  • Money is another root of all evil. Just look at the situation we are in today. Hmm what a suprise, gods name is yet on another big problem with socitey and mankind "working".

  • hahaha Thumbs up if you agree. Pass this on if you agree. Mark the word gOD off of every bill that passes through your hands. Take a god bill and fold it almost in half so the crease is on the o of god then rip a tiny hole where the word god should of never been placed to begin with. Hell Sharpie it out. Sometime when I am smoking I will put the lit cig over the word god and burn it out. it makes a nice impression and if enough people deface it in this way who knows it may get taken off.

  • Money laundering: the secular way, lmao

  • You are left-handed? I didn't notice that until now.

... or did you mirror the video image horizontally?

  • @Kargoneth I am indeed a southpaw. :o)

  • But now you are defacing money which is also against the law.

  • @MICHAEL1110367 no, defacing the denomination of the bill is

  • The thing is... those symbols and that slogan was originally created by the Founding Fathers it just took a little over 100 years to make it on our money. Wait, you also forgot to get rid o the National Emblem which also has christian symbols on it. Destroy the White house too. Capital building? All our money from the establishment of this country. Christian symbolism didn't just show up in the 50s. It has been around since the Founding Fathers first met in England

  • @hey1778 calm dawn dam

  • Keep that PUNK GOD off my money. I am tired of fairy tales being shoved down good peoples throats that are not dumb enough to believe iron age myths

  • Send this link and others like this to the FBI they are doing a investigation on you tube, help put these un-American slime in jail

  • mikemechling - We've been doing this for decades, and asking the government if they'd like to arrest us. No dice.

It would be nice, because if one of us were to be arrested for doing this, it would give us "standing to sue." Which means that the law that Congress made respecting an establishment of religion, in forcing religion onto currency, would be open to being overturned.

It's also nice to be on the side that has self-control. Thanks for your comment.

  • @aajoeyjo

If I worked for the FBI I'd sooner investigate Mike Mechling. He sounds like a violent person who is ready to snap. Innocent people could lose their lives if they act un-American around Mike Mechling.

It's too bad about that paranoid loner Mike Mechling. I sure hope Mike Mechling doesn't lash out at anyone in a violent fashion with bombs or guns or terrorism, but at least Mike Mechling won't go to hell for being a terrorist.

That's how you get attention from the FBI. Bots.

  • @truthIsStranger - Who is Mike Mechling? I never heard of him.

  • @mikemechling the ppl who put it on are the un-american

  • @ilovetheview47 not really. Hes just standing up for the first amendment

  • @MICHAEL1110367 i meant the ppl who put "in god we trust" on it

  • i sent this link to the fbi , and just got back to me and said there will be manny bust from you tube, thank God, if we cant get them out of the usa then lets get them in jail

  • mikemechling - Thank you! I wish the FBI would care. But they don't.

Would you really rely on them to do your dirty work for you? If so, doesn't that make you a government lackey? lol

Where would you be without the govt. doing so much for you? Lost and alone? lol

  • @mikemechling it's legal dumbass

  • Awesome, I'm doing this when I get home.

  • If you read mein kampf, Hitler directly referenced his authority as coming from God, and it was with his permission that he killed the Jews. You can call it an "insane ideology" but one could say the same for virtually every organized religion. Bottom line, religious convictions however misunderstood and ridiculus, did affect the cause of WWII. I am unfortunately unfamiliar with WWI.

  • well said. Anyone who thinks WWII was not about religion needs to do their homework.

  • religion=Wars

Keep quiet about religion= no wars

  • Awesome again, I do the same thing. But I opt for using a RED PEN and CIRCLING and crossing out GOD in "In God we trust" I think it makes the point clearier. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

  • Well, i believe our Country was found on Christian beliefs, but as long as you dont break laws, do whatever you want

  • 2 fallacies 1 post

  • jscience is a glass of orange juice

Wow, i used just as much logic as you!

  • "our Country was found on Christian beliefs"

We have the most secular gov't in the world. The Treaty of Tripoly specifically stated that this nation was not founded on Christian beliefs.

"long as you dont break laws"

my bad on this one. I thought you meant this was breaking the law, so I'm sorry, this was a misunderstanding on my part

  • we were not based on xstian religion. Most of the founding fathers were atheist (no belief in any god) or deist (sort of a belief in a god of nature) and they openly despised the god of the bible. The "in god" and "under god" shit was added in the 50's.

  • well what you "believe" has nothing to do with the truth... Go read a book about our history and then you can say "I KNOW"

  • Thats frakkin awesome. I'm doing this to all my bills.

  • calumk14 Well that's preaching and insulting, so zap!

  • You got me doing it now

  • not that i'm christian (im actually aethiest)... but doesnt "cleansing" the religeon off money sound a little like some other regime.... such as nazis?

  • Ok, instead of calling it "cleansing" call it getting the fuck rid of an unconstitutional dissemination tool printed by people who'd like to drag you from the back of a bumper.

  • LMAO Great post.

  • Solution: Pay with plastic. There's no god on my Mastercard.

  • Actually, there is a lot of harm. Every time you use plastic, it costs the establishment that you are giving "your money" to a percentage of the sale, thereby driving up the costs of goods and services.

  • 85% of America is Christian boohoo get over it

  • Dakota42503 Who's complaining abut that? I'm doing something about it, and so are a lot of other people. Get over THAT.

  • what you are doing is a waist of time and sharpie, if you don't like the dollar use a credit card or something. their are starving plp in Alabama that would gladly use your money and since you have so much free time why not send them some

  • Dakota42503 When I was a Christian, I didn't want to be, but I had to work for 9 years for that religion. I consider THAT to have been a giant waste of time and energy. Now I can choose what to do with my time, and reversing religious scams is important to me. Credit cards are scams too. Cleansing cash doesn't harm that money at all. I'm making money better. Cash is king.

  • Most Americans are white too.. so should we print "White Power" on our money?

  • It would seem that from a Christian perspective, putting the name of God on and associating God with trivial things like money and materialism, is contrary to several Bible passages.

  • It would seem that from a Christian perspective, putting the name of God on and associating God with trivial things like money and materialism, is contrary to several Bible passages.

  • True, "render under Caesar..."

  • Defacing Federal Property. Good job and video, 5* :)

  • "Defacing" is such an ugly word. That's essentially what Congress did by putting a religious slogan on it in the first place. I'm cleansing it. The opposite.

  • America was blessed because it was based on Christianity.

  • krolik223---Now please explain that. Realize that this country was a place before it was a nation, and millions of non-Christians lived here, until Christians came along. It doesn't sound like God blessed anything to pave the way for Christianity, it seems more like Christianity paved over a civilization, so now you ignore that civilization, and that crime. Interesting...

  • Based on Christianity? Funny because I remember the founding fathers completely denouncing religion from being involved with government.

  • then why do we stil have "in god we trust" on our bills.Frankly i choose not to trust in a false god

  • haha :D

if all US-Atheists corrected every single note of US currency that floats through their hands, it'd be only a matter of time until the entire US paper money will be corrected :-)

You should make a big campaign for that.

  • GentleSavage1---Yes, we can dream. That's a beautiful dream too. Two things though, the government here takes back most paper money eventually, because it's torn, too old, dirty, and/or "cleansed." Also there seems to be just a huge amount of this stuff...dollars...We need help!

  • maybe the number of taken back notes will not be so high if you cleanse it less obviously. Don't use black ink, but maybe white or something that comes very close to the background color around these letters.

Then it will look like it has never been there :-)

  • GentleSavage1--Good thinking, and lots of Atheists I have met do it just like that. I guess that's two schools of thought, and two corresponding methods. I'm glad we have enough people to do both.

  • now why didn't I think of crossing out "in god we trust" on my money. good idea

  • TheGreatDanton26--I'm glad I posted this video! Hopefully we get more Atheists doing this every year. Each time I do it...it just feels right.

  • wtf

  • is that not defacement of currency...which is illegal?...I'm not protesting i honestly dont know if its legal to do this tho.

  • gord099---Didn't I mention this? It's not illegal to mark out "In God We Trust" on paper money. That's been verified ad nauseum by lots and lots of Atheists. You can also see the exact laws on this by going to Atheists dot org and searching for "In God We Trust." It's legal, trust us.

  • cool, but...heres a question, what if a christian or catholic gets it, in other video's you have its made clear that Athiests dont like the way religion is pushed upon us,and how they almost want to control us. so would this not be in a way, exerting your beleifs on other people by defacing currency?. i dunno if i completely agree with that.

  • gord099---I consider it fixing a mistake and a violation of the law. The police aren't exerting their beliefs on people by enforcing the law. This is the same thing, except we're just Americans who care. To keep our government secular isn't my belief, it's the only fair way, and it's also the intent of the founding fathers.

  • good answer...im just glad that your not forcing it upon people, its good you have a legitimate purpose

  • Yes, it's illegal to deface money.

  • it isn't always illegal to deface American currency.

The currency must be defaced in a way that makes it unfit for circulation. IGWT is a decoration, it isn't used for identification. The dollar will still be just as fit for circulation as it was before.

In my opinion it will be even more fit.

  • I agree. GOD has nothing to do with our economic system and therefore should not be publicized on our money. Believing, or not, in Him is another issue, separate from the person who holds this currency whether they believe in GOD. By the way, I do believe in Him but he's not really invited to this party.

  • it's illegal when you deface it so much that it is no longer fit for circulation

however, the dollar was fit for circulation before this worthless add-on was on it, and it will still be fit after (even more so in my opinion)

  • im glad to see im not the only person who does this

  • I'm gonna make a habit out of this.

  • I did this today with some money.

  • I'm making a habit of this! I want encourage all athiests, and anyone who appreciates the constitution to do their part. This is easy to do, and it's pretty much the least you can do.

  • Mwahaha, every dollar bill will taken out of Gods Kingdom.

  • Good thing it will still be circulating in the real world.

  • I've done this to all the paper money I've received. I even went through and scratched it off the coins too. Lot's of accidental stabs with a flathead screwdriver from that!

  • If enough Christians report this and supply them with the user names of those who do this. We might get some action.

"Defacement of currency in such a way that it is made unfit for circulation comes under the jurisdiction of the United States Secret Service. Their address is: United States Secret Service, 1800 G Street, N. W., Washington, DC 20223."

  • robert03048---What kind of action would you like to see?

  • "unfit for circulation"

this doesn't make the money unfit for circulation robert.

  • Where do you see that it is unfit for circulation? The bill is still fit to be circulated.

  • You are a odd person robert03048. If it is legal to burn an american flag in this country then this minor very tiny issue means absolutely nothing to the treasury. Hopefully they will get the point and leave it off the money. I have bills and coins from before the printed it on it. IT doesn;'t need to be on the money. There are many beliefs in this country. Printing it on the money is a show of intolerence and flat out right prejudice.

  • I hope you draw all your money out everynight, mark it up, pay it in and then do the same thing again. Just to get those notes into circulation. Just wondering how many times have you been passed one back as change?

  • oRichardCraigo---I've only gotten cleansed money back a few times, except when I'm at an Atheist convention, then I get a lot of them! There are all kinds of methods for spreading these things around. One is to get your paycheck in $100s, and then change those at a supermarket, not a bank, for $50s, cleanse them, and repeat. Banks absorb currency with anything unusual about it, so they're not a good depository for cleansed cash.

  • How about our next motto being "In Reason We Trust".

  • orygun78---Well that would be plenty secular, but I don't think it's very accurate. In fact, In God We Trust probably applies to more Americans than In Reason We Trust. And obviously "E. Pluribus Unum" is also right out. An accurate motto for Americans would be something like "We can't get together on ANYTHING!"

  • I have "In GOD WE TRUST" on all my coins. So HA-HA-HA

  • iron1215---That's funny to you? I wonder why. Do you know when IGWT was put onto coins, as opposed to paper currency?

  • I got one of those recently. It was a one.

  • "Uppity Atheists Unite!"

Damn right! Every politician out there knows that the violation of our Civil and Constitutional rights exists on most of our money and yet n olt a one of them care. They're all pandering to the cultists among us and committing treasoln by allowing it to continue.

  • I hope you dont go to hell for this.

  • PatriotFact---Not an issue! (I'm an Atheist. We're free from that whole soap opera.)

  • Um... that really doesn't do much. Perhaps you should just say screw it, and use nothing but checks and credit cards? I'm all for Atheists, but come on...

  • Fallenvirtue---Checks and credit cards are flimsy, in terms of security. Cash is king. Banks are in business for themselves, and when you use cash, you don't have to pay a third party extra...I mean in addition to sales tax. Who wants to pay 14% interest in addition to sales tax?? Not me.

  • Oh, I understand why you use cash, I was just saying that marking out God doesn't really acheive much, other than defacing a bill. I'd rather get rid of the Federal Reserve's Monopoly Money, and get something made by REAL Americans. And I'd agree, instead of "In God We Trust", it should be more along the lines of "In the People We Trust". Anyhoo, having "God" anywhere doesn't really bother me at all, a grain of salt, that's what I take it as.

  • Well we don't consider it "defacement" exactly. I consider it cleansing. We're fixing and restoring the legality to the bills. This accomplishes a couple of valuable things. It eventually shows some people that someone wants IGWT off of there. It also gives us something minor, but productive to do when we're angry at religion. We produce seeds of doubt in peoples' minds.

  • Doesn't that make you just as bad as 'religious' people? Ya know, being 'angry' at someone with different beliefs? Attempting to 'convert' people? Just seems a bit hypocritical. Not the dollar thing, but the whole 'piss off religious people' thing. Also, the Fed. Reserve bill isn't really 'legal' anyways :)

  • Fallenvirtue---Well let's look at just who is pushing what, because people having different beliefs alone isn't the problem. This video addresses a case of where Christians have pushed their religion onto the government, to use it as a tool to push religion onto the masses. I'm not attempting to convert anyone, they are, obviously. They do the same in several other ways, and so very few people complain, surely I'm not a problem.

  • "Doesn't that make you just as bad as 'religious' people?"

Marking out money is equated to flying jet airliners into buildings and invading innocent countries to rape, torture, and murder half a million innocent people.

No, marking out the occultism that violates every American's rights ISN'T anywhere near equal to what religion does and what religion stands for.

  • Wasn't talking about the marking out of the money, I was talking about trying to force Atheism on Religious people. I already stated that they should have left the word 'God' off money, and put "People". I'm not an atheist, but neither am I religious. I'm kind of an all-around type of guy.

  • I would like to be alerted when and if someone appears to be trying to force Atheism on religious people. I can't imagine any of the current Atheist groups doing that, or ever condoning it. When we cleanse money, we're not forcing Atheism, we're removing forced religion. Forced by law within our government.

  • i have seen similar vids on here before, and i have left a similar anecdote: since highschool, ive changed it to "in god we THRUST"

  • Or... You could just use a credit card! Amazing how it took 1800 years AD to get it written on the coins. Then another another 100 years to get it written on paper currency. Then they held it up to your camera at the protest like it meant something! Time to tax the churches and give the citizens a discount.

  • Nice,

I do that too now and again

I wonder just how many constitutional dollars are circulating around right now? I never seem to get any

  • Hehehe...I do this to money at work. Though not ALL of it, 'cuz I'd be in the office for hours...I'm an overnight manager, so I do all the main cash reports and deposits and such.

  • oh, thats great ^^

would be the perfect way to relax... when your stressed take a bunch of 100-dollar-bills and correct them...

  • hehehe! I've done that before, when the mood struck me! Good job! :)

  • I like doing that at restaurants just as I'm about to spend them. I get funny looks.

  • HanifXHier---I had an Atheist buddy who made sure to mark them right before spending them, and tried really hard to get people to see him doing it. He said his goal was to eventually get arrested for doing it, so he'd have standing to sue, and could sue to have the law overturned. Hey, we can dream...!

  • Actually, it's just because I lack the foresight to do it at home, but I'd welcome the attention.

  • Hell yes. I've been doing this for awhile actually. I'd like to see a lot of people taking their pay checks and doing this to their cash. :)

  • freebaker--There's at least one law somewhere in the system against putting your own phrase, but marking out IGWT is not illegal. Lots of prominent Atheist activists have looked into this by contacting the government, and simply asking. We're good to go with marking it out.

  • I wonder what the particulars of the law is about marking out god on money. Can I just mark out the word god and write the word logic below it?

  • i dont think thats possible, you may not add information to the paper money... but im not sure, aajoeyjo made a video about it.

what is shown in this video is legal, aajoeyjo checked it. but when you add something new to the bill then im really not sure. people would start stamping commercials on it.

  • The rules are that one may not significantly alter money in an attempt to defraud or obscure the demonination of the money. Marking out occult invocations on money is repeately stated by the Treasury Dept as not violating any law.

  • every athiest should do this

  • "every athiest should do this "

Every cultist should do this as well. It's not just atheists who are having their Constitutional rights violated by this occultism. Cultists are also having their rights violated.

  • Now those dollars look ready to spend.
