I could imagine Robyn Hitchcock doing an acoustic cover of this for some reason...well, not him actually doing it, but I could hear him singing this....

I'm a huge Radiohead fan but that song is one of their worst. The album version is particularly bad. When it comes on its skipped straight away. **awaits disapproval**
@ZonkoDotCom i do like this version more but the album version is good too. its cool to see what the song was and how evolved it got. shows what a great band radiohead is.
@ZonkoDotCom Heh that's weird, I stopped a film I was watching to listen to it just an hour ago :). Different strokes for different folks I guess.
I think it has a kind of weird funkyness about it (album version), I can imagine doing the Yorke epileptic chicken dance to it when I'm drunk...and no-ones watching.
how long did he work on this song then? This video is from 2006 right, I also heard Nude like in 2003 with the tittle ¨big ideas¨ so I guess Thom has that virtue called patience
This is why some stupid assholes dislike Radiohead. If you find it depressive, its YOUR problem, and if you don't like it, let the people decide if they like it.
@riethc “If people get it, they wouldn’t think it’s depressing. When people always say that fucking annoying thing about how my work’s so depressing, well it’s not because… it’s just words, and I put the words to music which I think it’s an uplifting thing, otherwise there would be no point in doing this at all.” - Thom Yorke
@Zedetnik The only reason u say that is because you're absolutely ignorant, if u ANY form of musical education whatsoever you'd realize Lady Gaga is absolute shit.
Wrong, YOU are the only ignorant here, and if you don't think so, hear the RED & BLUE EP from Stefani Germanotta and come again to talk again about prejudice.
@Zedetnik maybe she was good as Stefani Germanotta ( I dunno cause i can't be bothered to listen to her ) but LADY GAGA is actually shite. She's not a good performer, she's good at making people pay to see her dress like a prick for 'entertainment'. I would say they're two different things. Anyway, this is Radiohead, not lady gaga.
Man, why do they keep doing this to us, Big Boots and crap, it seems like all their really cool songs go unreleased, they did put this on a gagging order something or other but its impossible to find.
@kapikapikapi good observation, this song follows a similar progression as Optimistic. The song is in drop D and incorporates many of the same chords as Optimistic, so yes you are very much so right. Same with follow me around except its in double Drop D. Cheers.
@XxCHUTEtoKILLxX this song never needs a studio recording, this is something special we can all look back at in the future. Reminds me of watching an old beatles recording or something...
C-sides? how many sides are an your records? First thay make an album where you choose the price, then a cameraless music video, now a triangular cd! Holy Shitballs!
I heard this on the Hail to the Thief B sides. I really hope they make more music like this one and Electioneering. They sound great and really tend to compliment their more moody pieces like Sail to the Moon.
