Big whoop. Here's the rest of the story: there are ~ 75 million people in the U.S. who are < age 20. The vast majority of them won't even be required to file. There are ~38 million American over age 65, again many of whom aren't required to file, though a lesser percentage than the < 20 group. As such, a substantial portion of that roughly 120 million have no tax liability because they're kids or old people.

Our current tax structure puts the burden on a very small percentage of people ~93million. Spin it any way you want that's 30% of the total. The kids are not some entity out there not to be considered. They belong in households, many of which pay no, or get back more, in income tax, than payed in. Not propaganda just fact.

Right, but the problem here isn't that their idea is based on a sound economic model. It is valid to say that reducing taxes can stimulate the economy through increased spending and investment. However it is also valid to say that the economic model so far has been an abject failure as a whole because some governments cut taxes without cutting spending.

A good argument for lower taxes... The state of Texas. Why do you think it's population has grown so much. San Antonio is now the 7th largest City in the US.

Wrongola. That's a oftentimes misunderstood issue. They just don't pay in extra when they file their tax returns. The income tax they pay is deducted from their gross wages by their employer and paid directly to the IRS.

Big whoop. Here's the rest of the story: there are ~ 75 million people in the U.S. who are < age 20. The vast majority of them won't even be required to file. There are ~38 million American over age 65, again many of whom aren't required to file, though a lesser percentage than the < 20 group. As such, a substantial portion of that roughly 120 million have no tax liability because they're kids or old people.

Our current tax structure puts the burden on a very small percentage of people ~93million. Spin it any way you want that's 30% of the total. The kids are not some entity out there not to be considered. They belong in households, many of which pay no, or get back more, in income tax, than payed in. Not propaganda just fact.

I know what my first hand experience on research says (I'm in physics), and what many colleagues who are specialized in the field say... Something can both be bad and true. Was the bubonic plague true? Yes. Did they take advantage of that and get money from people? From the swine flu? From war? Yes. Yes. Yes. Right, but the problem here isn't that their idea is based on a sound economic model. It is valid to say that reducing taxes can stimulate the economy through increased spending and investment. However it is also valid to say that the economic model so far has been an abject failure as a whole because some governments cut taxes without cutting spending.
As for global warming, do you understand the difference between climate and weather? The GW models actually predict higher variation in temp.

good point...schools are run by democrats and they continue to fall further and further down in test scores while expenditures go up.

Alot of studies and arguments used now by politicians, and scientists are the same ones used in the 70's to say we were driving ourselves into an ice age. Again, not to say I'm on one side or the other, but it's something I have to consider. It could very well be that no one actually knows without a doubt, what's going on with the planet and what's causing it. Regardless, shouldn't we want to be good to the planet because it's the right thing to do, not because we're scared of the world ending?

I'm not attached to any party because my life isn't childishly linear. That being said, it seems like this video is a tad bit assuming, if not a little big-headed. To be completely honest, there are valid arguments on both sides of the climate change issue. Fox News is still bullshit, and no matter what side of an issue they take, they almost always focus on the wrong thing and use disinformation, but for mediamatters to act as though they know for sure which side is right is just as silly.

I think that those folks who see politics as only intrigue and who favor the "Left" or whatever you call it, love for those on the "Right" to be associated with these knuckleheads. Does our country really have the blinders on that thick? There will always be crooks out there, and many of them will be in the public eye. And for every master-manipulator there will be at least 50 "Us vs. Them" folks, regardless of the position. There's your free history lesson.

It's not even about counterpoints. This is just rehashing of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, which I think many conservatives would rightfully say is blatantly biased and not really "News" at all.
They take the core, sensible ideas of the "Negative Rights" folks (what else can I call them, those who believe we have rights to secure us from government, as opposed those who believe we have rights to certain things from the government) and contort them beyond recognition.

but where was there rebuttal to the Conservatives statements. All they do is say there wrong; in some instances they r but, most of the time just say ur wrong I'm right but i don't give a reason because i'm all knowing and better than anyone else, we don't make vids talking about our values and what we believe we just criticize mischaracterize distort and catch Conservatives at there dumbest most regretful mistaken times.

Yes some of what they said was stupid and wrong but, the majority of the time most Conservative media has it right. You also have to take into account a lot of that stuff in the vid was taken out of context and mischaracterized. Also who is Mediamatters to act like there all above intellectual all knowing and pompous about everyone else this video was such in a joking matter and was very condescending,
