Hey David I love your videos by the way. I was just going to add, how about tactial feedback. I have the voyager because I can't switch to AT&T and I love the little vibe it gives you when you touch it. Just a suggestion and wondering what you thought about it.
i do go to youtube thru safari and check my comments, channel, views, and reply to them. The only u cant do is watch videos because of the lack of flash. I use the youtube 'player' included. 1 problem; safari browser quits quite often unexpectedly on my itouch. The same happens on my mac too. Its a bug but its like apple is taking too long to fix it.
i just picked an iphone up from a coworker. installing 3rd party apps is as simple as going to a website on the iphone and letting it do its work. the 3rd party apps are what really make me glad i bought it. tap tap revolution is probably my favorite.
if the camera was infront of the phone so you can look at the screen and the camera, how would you take photos? it would be backwards. unless you had 2 cameras? they need a better camera for the iphone period before they give it two.

I think that the Touch-Screen interface that Apple is working out with the iPhone will, bringing down the price of the technology in the process, will eventually manifest itself in the form of a Touch-Screen iMac / Touch-Screen Mac OS.

in actuality, the iPhone isn't really THAT expensive, sure $600 sounds expensive, but remember, the BlackBerry Pearl is $400 retail, the Krazr is $319 and Blackberry Curve is $499!, AT&T 8525 PocketPC Phone is $599!!! The PocketPC phone relies on you to supply your own MicroSD card for space! so, when you look at numbers, the iPhone is actually cheap for what it does....
I can see this happening, especially considering Apple's relationship with Google. An "Upload to YouTube" option would be great, just like the new feature in iMovie '08.
The more memory complaint is a terrible one because it is flash memory which allows the iPhone to be more durable. GPS is also a battery sucker. And finally the price; the price is more about apple making a ton of money because it costs them half of the price of the phone to produce and allows price cuts.
ok i will explain why all of the the things you are complaining about are not in the iPhone. first 3G is a bad idea because it sucks battery life like a mutha. MMS is not smart because they want you to use up at&t text messages. 3rd party support is a simple security risk.
I think Apple needs to include a "clear all" button for e-mails. You need to delete you're e-mails one-by-one and twice: horrible. I also wish you were able to twist your iPhone around and use a sideways keyboard to send text. Yup

Cool debate, here in the UK the iPhone will only sell on it's looks and touch screen interface cause on features currently it WILL get slaughtered byt lots of other phones. We are alos way more advanced then the US in number of phone users and what we have and use and expect, 3G is now very widespread on phone models. It will be interesting to see what Apple launch in the UK.

I am going to wait until the 2nd gen Iphone comes out as I've I heard will have 12gb. I also know from experience that 2nd gen items are always better so I will wait. Plus I want a ps3 more =).
Filipcreate, I didn't forget. I only listed 5 reasons in this video. Also flash memory at 30 GB or higher would be insanely expensive. If they wanted that, they'd have to go with a hard drive, which means less battery life. And plus, that's less of a reason to get an actual iPod. Apple doesn't want the iPhone and iPod to directly compete with each other.

4. updated camera app
5. a dashboard app that can run every widget under mac os x

Cool debate, here in the UK the iPhone will only sell on it's looks and touch screen interface cause on features currently it WILL get slaughtered byt lots of other phones. We are alos way more advanced then the US in number of phone users and what we have and use and expect, 3G is now very widespread on phone models. It will be interesting to see what Apple launch in the UK.
It DOES have a LOT of potential though.

Nice post, I think this rounds out your iPhone series nicely. I too love my iPhone, and I also agree it is not perfect. I am looking forward to 3rd party aps. to put on the iPhone. Jobs did stres the potential of the iPhone to grow and change, as developers create new aps. Keep us updated if you find any new aps available. And thanks for the help you gave me via email on posting videos.

dont think so. it would be bad for them. cause inorder for apple to sell, they have to make it cheaper for people who didn't buy the 1st Gen will buy the 2nd Gen. I noe i would.

I love the Iphone, but not to the point where I need to get one. The cons that you have pointed out are why. I'm fine with a pocket pc. I am going to wait until the 2nd gen Iphone comes out as I've I heard will have 12gb. I also know from experience that 2nd gen items are always better so I will wait. Plus I want a ps3 more =).

Filipcreate, I didn't forget. I only listed 5 reasons in this video. Also flash memory at 30 GB or higher would be insanely expensive. If they wanted that, they'd have to go with a hard drive, which means less battery life. And plus, that's less of a reason to get an actual iPod. Apple doesn't want the iPhone and iPod to directly compete with each other.

The iphone in the UK is not going to be 3G. Its too expensive and wouldnt fit the form factor of the iPhone. The technology isnt small enough yet.
