@stipps86 Were this open to the public, it would be trashed just like every other public lake in Texas. There'd be garbage EVERYWHERE. People in this state have no respect for nature sadly.
@stipps86 You would too if you could . You lie if you say you wouldnt. It's a awesome place. But dont go to far past the blue hole ar you may run into a bunch backwoods hillbillies drinking wiskey and telling each other a bunch lies. They stay in and around the old black peoples school house. Watch out for them Beans there a bunch of stump jumpers.
@shouldbeincc I know what you mean, OMG at the times we had there. I remember one time the law out of Zavalla and the hwy piss troll came to the blue with a school bus , loaded it up with abunch of hippies and hauled them to jail. they where just having a good time. Making love, smoking some weed and drinking. good thing the locals had just left...lol... TL, MM, Jimmy, Dale, Mickey and a bunch more you know who you are ....lmao
95% of all Texas land is privately owned. and our state parks are the some of the most underfunded in the nation. Elect democratic candidates for government and let them know you want preserve Texas' landscapes and resources and hopefully someday we will allow all Texan's to enjoy this treasure.
While the Blue Hole has had it's share it's visitors over the many years, It is on private property and gated. The land is watched, so unless you know the owners, it's best to just enjoy the Blue Hole from the video, or from your memories.
This place is awesome, I have been going there for over 50 years, just give the old fart that watches the blue hole a bottle of Old Charter.
