Another thing Palm pre is an open source phone were if you are willing to add or create programs or add what ever os u want to ur phone u can go right ahead so basically get creative with you apps iphone does not allow for people to do things like that to thier phone and besiedes they would loose out on money remember palm pre on the 4g network others are in 3.5 g network hmmm sux!

The palm pre happens to be a very good phone compared to the iPhone. I have a 32gs in white and and the Palm Pre, they both do things the other one can't do. I'm not saying that its an iPhone killer but it can compete with the iphone, and compete very well.

To let people now im a former Sprint employee sprint has the simply everything plan other companies for everything unlimited is 129.99 for verizon and atnt and sprint is 99.99 with tax 129.99 what can i also say

we have 4g net work and yes we have a new plan were u call any mobile phone and not waste any minutes does not matter what mobile company u have ur minutes donot go to waste ....... any more negative comments about sprint....

The iphone is a kick ass phone but the price is just not worth it for me. I have a ipod touch and as far as phone I am prob going to get The Hero for Sprint or maybe The Pre. The new rate plan that sprint has is the best out. I ain"t gonna lie I used to hate Sprint but they have really turned things around and now they have tons of cool phones coming out. I'm glad I left Verizon's over priced service.

I would have to dis agree with you. The $69.99 plan gets you 450 mins to land lines unlimited to any mobile plus data, messaging, pic and video mail unlimited. Trust me man I hated Sprint but I am saving tons of money with them. Plus Sprint is the firdt with 4g network. Hope this helps.

You can't think the palm pre is faster and better just because off this video because i've seen tests like this where the iPhone has been faster. Its just the area. Also the iPhone is a much better phone, and I live in the UK so i'm on o2 and its a lot faster than that

If you want a good phone and a good app/gaming device, I suggest you buy Palm Pre for your phone since it can make/receive calls and saves you $1,200 over two years and buy an iPod Touch which is great for running apps. This way you get best of both worlds, and you are still over $900 ahead with two devices as compared to one device on AT&Ts overpriced plan on their spotty 3G network.

Everyone says oh test it on wifi so we can see the speed of the phones... wtf... This is a cel phone. The whole purpose is that it works where there is no internet. otherwise i'd just use my laptop. I think how the phone performs on its network is much more important since i use wifi only in my house or a coffee shop. And it may not be the phones fault but you arent just buying a phone when you sign that contract. I hate at&t.

jus as a remainder at&t is conducting some form of improvement on it's network that has crumbled it's network capability to it's knees. I compared my friend's 3GS jus recently with my palm pre and the iPhone did not even come close. But when the 3GS came out my pre lost couple of times on wifi but when it came to network comparisons pre was jus outstanding... I live by Rocky Mtns in CO btw!

good stuff, i think people are finally realizing AT&T is crap, it's never been faster than Sprint, every businessmen who travels knows that, that's why they get a Sprint or Verizon broadband on CDMA/REV A network, not GSM, which is slow in America.

i like these kinds of comparisons. i see no point in wifi comparisons. i have wifi at home but i almost never use it because sprints evdo feels just as fast. and every time i compare my pre with friends iphones i always seem to win by far. so wifi comparisons i think are irrelevant. we need more real life comparisons of phones and the networks they are on.

Yes, the whole point is that the network has to be fast since that's when u need it most. When you have WiFi, I just use my real computer, forget messing with phones.

True, I will have a test soon too but I doubt 3gs is any faster, 3gs is on the exact same network as 3g. Hardware might be better but that doesn't make the network faster.

I have the pre but I dont think the 3g is that much slower than the pre based on the other videos I have seen and personal experience. Maybe the difference is cause of Network issues (with at&t, that's why most ppl prefer using wifi cause it can easily show the phones capability without hindrance from Network issues) and also to have a fair competition clean up the cache files you have in both phones and maybe the result would be a little bit different.

I've actually tested my blackberry before with the iphone too, sprint has a better coverage I think, especially here in bay area. The cache was cleared btw. I think the point here is that the network must be fast, wifi isn't everywhere. The other videos I think are fake, iPhone has always been really slow in my testings.

Plam pre is the better phone by far. Iphone (ipod touch) is the better media player. If the phone part is more important go with the pre. If the media part is more important go with the iphone.
