@slatehouston Actually, the StudioLive remembers the last state that it was in before you turned it off (even if you don't save the scene). In other words, it acts just like an analog mixer in that way.
takes quite some time with those rotary encoders to set aux sends. would be much easier to do that with faders, too bad StudioLive doesn't have motorized faders
Just got one two days ago! In the first 1-2 hours we had it hooked up in replacement of our analog 16 channel board. We can see why we don't need our outboard rack gear anymore. Next we installed the Capture software on a Dell Inspiron Laptop (Vista 32 bit, Core Duo 2 processor, with 3GB) and had problems... It would just stop recording after about 27 - 45 seconds of recording... We installed Capture on a little older XP Pro laptop with 2GB ram, and it ran great! We are really pleased!
minute 8:2 you have another mixer on the side of the Studio live 16, Why? Is the S.live 24 has all the same features as they S.L.16? Is it good for live gigs too?
o right yea just magically put a sound training DVD together. no problem i got thousands of dollars lying around for your amazing business venture suggestion.
question! Ok, I havent seen or heard any discussion on the phase reverse button next to the high pass. If I engage this button will It create some sort of rumble? reason said, our bass player is constantly complaining that he can't distinguish the notes he's playing, and that he feels a rumble. I've swept the high pass filter, but he says it wont go away. Now I realized that I had the phase button on. Not really understanding what this button is all about. Ive read the manual, but having trouble
Did the phase button fix it? The phase reverse is changing the positive and negative of an output before going to the next stage It sounds like the bass players amp is/was being canceled out by perhaps the monitors phase with his amp. The two waves being off by 180 degrees can somewhat cancel each other out to a bass players ears. There are a lot of other reasons too.
excellent. well done.

The band just gt one. the 24 channel one, (can't wait to get my hands on it).
Two questions:
If I turn it off will I lose my last settings if I don't save them?
In your opinion do your in ears sound better being digital over analogue?
Thanks for the easy lessons a novice can understand. (the manual is the easiest to understand that I've ever read).
BTW great band

used it, didnt like it :(. not that intuitive. much prefer to go completely analogue or splash the cash and get a yamaha LS9 or a A&H iLive.

@MrLucasdb I reckon It's a spare/backup mixer as this was when the StudioLive was still going through beta testing
