Although I love the epic production quality of MOP, Metallica jamming it out in a garage setting here still sounded better than most bands during that era. The amp feedback at 2:32 is cool. AJFA would have sounded better this way, too.

This is my all time favorite Metallica song....why couldn't they have just been a thrash band? Sure, they wouldn't be as rich but they could have maybe been thrash kings like Overkill, Exodus, Kreator, and Testament. Those 4 bands with opening band Metallica (as a thrash band) would have been one hell of a show. Hell, the Big 4 even got turned into a mainstream show of sorts.

Nice, KILLING JOKE is playing FOR FREE THIS SATURDAY here on the beach of The Hague, Netherlands!! I hope they play this and it would be great if Metallica will come to play this, since Garage Days re-revisted was my first 'real CD' ever (i was a huge Metallica fan from 1988-1993 :-).. Thanks to both!! (I really got to know Killing Joke later because of people remixing & coveiring them, it took till some time in the nineties for me to realize that they are the guys from 'Love Like Blood' :D)

Artists cover bands out of respect. Most if not all music is influenced by it's predecessors. There's nothing wrong with a homage.
