I (who have apparently been living under a rock) didn't know who Amy Winehouse was. I just watched her sing "Valerie." Now I understand Simon's reaction when Shaheen announced he was going to sing it. And I agree with his decision to stop him after the first few bars. Smart. While it's a little creepy for a young boy to look to MJ for his material, Shaheen did do a spectacular job with this tune.
