This performance is a far cry from another video of the same song that was dated 1988. Kind of going through the motions it seems. Girl gained some lbs. and the dudes all lost some hair.

Black Francis and Kim Deal did not get on together, apparently. Hence going through the motions. Thankfully they have not sullied their heritage by releasing sloppy going through the motions new stuff. all the best!

When you're 20, no kids, life stretching out in front f you, its easy and lamost required to be judgemental assholes. Kim Deal was the only one I think who was financially solvent at the time of the reunion and did it to make money for Joey and Dave in particular. I don;t see that as selling out. I see it as maturity and its really moving to see them as adults, clean, sober, and making some money for those reasons. I loved seeing them again, hope to see them a few more times yet.

Just an opinion, and I still have huge respect for the Pixies contributions which are immense, but I believe that the within that change of attitude lies the reason they can't write any new, ground breaking tunes.

To write truly orignal and great music takes passion and a belief in something. When you lose that -> the fresh ideas disappear.

No new material and a dull paint by the numbers stage show. It's a blatant, in your face, money grab. They are now the very thing they use to make fun of. MrSloika, what's your problem? The Pixies put on great shows even today, and I doubt many concertgoers feel they are robbed. Have you seen some of the bands today and their half-assed shows? I for one am grateful the Pixies came back to let new fans see what they missed in the 90s. The Rolling Stones milked the public with their dozen reunion tours and thousand dollar ticket prices. These are just guys who do what they love and do well.

wow!! Comparing this to earlier versions this doesn't stack up, Kim is singing really flat on the chorus and Frank isn't even there with his harmonies most of the time. The Pixies are still great but it really shows what years of hard drugs, booze, and in-fighting can do to a band.

A great song and one of the best basslines ever! Actually, I think it's the best Pixies song except "Debaser". And you can tell by Kim's voice that she's a nice person. To have such a sweet childish voice in her age - she must be doing something right!
