  • cool song my girlfriend and i sailed there last year , it was a shame to ss it so different from several years ago,, check out the vid we did of trip Ingleside to cedar bayou

  • Opening Cedar Pass will not do anything to add freshwater to the system, nor to help whooping cranes. Freshwater comes from upstream and rainfall, not from a pass into the ocean. Can you make it rain?

  • The song says "freshwater dammed up" talking about two separate issues i.e., freshwater inflow rights for coastal areas and the pass blockages. Regardless of rainfall, studies have proven that an open Cedar Bayou does help regulate bay salinities. Circuitous water movement is healthy and there is no argument that can be made for leaving Cedar Bayou closed. How about some Stimulus funds for Coastal projects. If we're going to "Rebuild America", we could start something worthwhile right here.

  • The Whooping Cranes are starving due to the lack of their primary food source, crab. If you do a little research you'll learn that open passes benefit bays in both times of drought and flooding, it balances salinity levels and provides those crab a migration highway to complete their life cycle.

  • This is my all time favorite video ever, I'm posting it on my site now! Thanks Capt. DoubleK
