After watching this video, I can't stop crying. You are living the life that I have always wanted to live. I had lapband surgery in 2008. I haven't been dedicated like I should have been and started at 251 pounds and as of today I'm only at 192 pounds and I'm 5'2. I have such a long way to go and want to live the life that you are living and I just don't know how to get there. I want to lose more weight and have a bodylift done.You r such an inspiration. :)

I am very excited, yet very nervous...watching your videos have helped encouraged me. I will jump on a more vigorious exercise routine....FO SHO! You were very pretty before...but it is obvious, the smiles after are more genuine and happier. It doesn't seem like you let your now-outer looks get the best of you, stayed humble..this is such a wonderful quality.

one thing i noticed with weight loss surgery particularly for people who are apple shaped is the excess skin in the stomach after the weight is loss is that pretty typical when you loose a significant amount of weight? and can it be controlled by alot of weight training while your are going through the transformation?
You weren't unattractive before your surgery, but you look so much younger, and brighter, and more vibrant, and absolutely beautiful. I'm getting ready to start my lap band journey. I'm 80 lbs overweight, which is kind of less than what they normally accept, but I have a horrible family history and terrible genetics. If I can't permanently get my weight under control, I'm going to have diabetes and hypertension and heart blockages. no doubt. but thanks for posting your video. Very inspiring.

I have been considering the surgery for about 6 months now before that I used to just wish to be thin while failing every diet I tried !! My only concern is the pain afterward, being that I am somewhat of a wuss can you tell me how much pain is involved in the weeks following the procedure?
@shellbellexx3 The only pain I expirenced was right after surgery. The Gas was a big problem. I had compressed gas and it was horrible. I was in pain for about 3 days. After that, u go back to normal. But it only happens to a few people. I was one of them. There is not much pain to follow after the surgery.
@skymoon1982 I just had Lap-Band surgery eight days ago and I had terrible gas pain all over. It was intense and painful. It was the worst part of it but it faded entirely after three short days.
I knew about the possibility of "gas pain" before the surgery but had no idea what it would actually feel like. Now I do. To those of you wondering, it feels like an extreme version of "work out soreness"... like when you go to the gym for the first time in 5 years and lift weights... times 10!

As someone who is way overweight I always try and make a joke of it but the fact is I hate myself for looking like I do. Like most people I have tried so very hard and I just can't beat it, So now Im booked in for the surgery.
Your videos have confirmed to me that I am making the correct decision and have given me hope.
And another question. Even if you're right and the problem is lack of will power, what makes you think I or anyone else can remedy that by trying harder? Perhaps some people are just born without strong wills the same as some people are born with dark hair or small noses?
And if that's true what's wrong with getting help to beat a problem that the will is too weak to beat by itself?

Hi Melanie, maybe someone has asked you this before but why get the lapband if you were the one who had the willpower and put the effort into exercise and diet? How was the lapband a tool and how did the device actually help you as a tool? If you can be so strong, why then have the surgery to begin with? Hi Mel This post is very moving, I had my band on 12th May 2009 and unlike lots of other gastrc band patients on here my experience has not been all that good, ive said from the start to my consultants, i have no restriction, and dont feel all the symptoms that lots of you experience on here anyway after 3 band fills a 5ml a 3ml and a 1.5ml = a total of 9.5ml they have now done a band deflate and have found no salaine in the band so there is a leek in the band somewhere

one thing I have noticed in all your pictures is how pretty you are and how you have a wonderful fashsion sence every picture had a nice out fit. that is hard to do when your big. I go in to surgery febuary 17 two days after my birthday. I'm excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. I know in hearts to hearts I have to do this. It may take me 3 years to pay off the surgery but the rewards are worth so much more. thanks for your videos.

My recovery is going very well...I got a yukky stomach virus about 2 weeks out and that was scary...but I overcame and am back at it! Have a wonderful New Year!

As a lap bander (3 months out) I KNOW how hard you had to work for to get as far as you have gone! I describe my journey as 80 self control and EXERCISE and 20% is the band! Your are truly an insipiration and when I get down with this process I watch one of your videos and it puts me back on track! Thank you!

As someone who is way overweight I always try and make a joke of it but the fact is I hate myself for looking like I do. Like most people I have tried so very hard and I just can't beat it, So now Im booked in for the surgery.
Your videos have confirmed to me that I am making the correct decision and have given me hope.

And another question. Even if you're right and the problem is lack of will power, what makes you think I or anyone else can remedy that by trying harder? Perhaps some people are just born without strong wills the same as some people are born with dark hair or small noses?
And if that's true what's wrong with getting help to beat a problem that the will is too weak to beat by itself?

Hi Melanie, maybe someone has asked you this before but why get the lapband if you were the one who had the willpower and put the effort into exercise and diet? How was the lapband a tool and how did the device actually help you as a tool? If you can be so strong, why then have the surgery to begin with? I'm curious! :) I watched some of yr video's last year & have just caught up now. You look fantastic. I'm planning on lapband surgery in May/June when I can afford it.

Hi Mel This post is very moving, I had my band on 12th May 2009 and unlike lots of other gastrc band patients on here my experience has not been all that good, ive said from the start to my consultants, i have no restriction, and dont feel all the symptoms that lots of you experience on here anyway after 3 band fills a 5ml a 3ml and a 1.5ml = a total of 9.5ml they have now done a band deflate and have found no salaine in the band so there is a leek in the band somewhere

one thing I have noticed in all your pictures is how pretty you are and how you have a wonderful fashsion sence every picture had a nice out fit. that is hard to do when your big. I go in to surgery febuary 17 two days after my birthday. I'm excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. I know in hearts to hearts I have to do this. It may take me 3 years to pay off the surgery but the rewards are worth so much more. thanks for your videos.

I know that the money u will be charged will definately benefit you at the end. It worth every penny. At the end, your happiness & success will over shadow the dollar amount.

My recovery is going very well...I got a yukky stomach virus about 2 weeks out and that was scary...but I overcame and am back at it! Have a wonderful New Year!

As a lap bander (3 months out) I KNOW how hard you had to work for to get as far as you have gone! I describe my journey as 80 self control and EXERCISE and 20% is the band! Your are truly an insipiration and when I get down with this process I watch one of your videos and it puts me back on track! Thank you!
