  • hey, i think its cool dude! Dont listen to those mean people who put you down. u sound like you know who you are...so keep at it. I love this its really cool.

  • I absolutely love this song! I can't stop listening to it! It's awesome!

    ...

    ...it's, precious, to me... :)

  • very well done!

  • this is pure awesomeness im lovin this

  • This is a really good tune, nevermind the sound quality. The singing is fine too n I just imagined this with some orchestra n a woman singing along too... that'd be sooo freaking great n THIS version would sooo prefectly fit to a camp fire (hope I don't offend ya :D ) . Do you have any TAB's for this song? I really love, good job, man! \m/

  • @MarkTheBerserker like a folk type festival campfire aka a bonfire would be better lol

  • Really your are really good good voice lovely music I read your comment take this from me you desereve beter recording equipment good luck with your dream :D

  • cool

  • WTG Tim!!!! You broke 100,000!!!!!!

  • Your song is good, you play very good the guitar, but i would recommend you to make someone else sing it while you play

  • @falnica If you didn''t like my voice, why even listen? See, I never claimed to have the best voice, sound equipment, whatever I do, I do it because I've got to dream, and see I'm just a regular guy with a voice. I've shared my whole life with people in my songs over the years. I've recorded over 150 original songs. My guitar work is and always shall be a part of the whole of my dream. Nobody else knows my songs like me. Nobody!!

  • @timothysepperhart Calm down tiger.

  • @timothysepperhart I think your voice is perfect to this song.

  • @falnica ouch.

    His voice is perfect.

  • How does this relate to the Battle of Angband? This song mentions Hobbits.. the war was fought between Morgoth and the Noldor. There were no Hobbits mentioned in the Silmarillion.

  • @Shane070297 Angband is a reference to an online game that's been around since 1994 called "The Two Towers" - (also note I also mention a guild of dwarves "Baruk Khazud-Dum" in the chorus) The use "Angband" is justified here, because it serves as a tribute to not only Tolkien, but a MUD that's based on his novels and the many unsung heros that made the game itself possible for the last 15+ years.

  • @timothysepperhart Ah, explains it. I do remember a game called Angband, though.

  • @timothysepperhart Oh wow. This game is amazing! I'm glad you were referencing it! Forth Eorlingas! :)

  • Hey just wanted to thank all of my fans and tell you all to go and check out this and many more of my songs at reverbnation com/outlawson there's also lyrics to this at that website

  • Very nice!!! We like it a lot!!! We are Brady and Jennah, we are playing poker with you on facebook as I type this comment :)

  • @HappyDayOfBirth715 nice! good to know im always meeting cool people online!! be sure to play poker with me again yall and if im ever in TX (if i ever get rich ha) i'll be sure to drift through a town near you.

  • I like this song. You are like a bard, playing old songs of might and glory. Is there somewhere lyrics for this song? I would like to see them.

  • @Henkimies lyrics for the song is at reverbnation com/outlawson except with the dot of course, as youtube wont allow me to post anything with dotcom !! :P

  • @timothysepperhart Okay. Thanks, I'll check that site!

  • @Henkimies PS thank you for the words of encouragement again, this job of being a songwriter isn't always so good, but it does attract a lot of wonderful people in my life. Please feel free to add me on your Reverbnation fans list and please, stay in touch. My "Definitive Collection" CD will be for sale this December!!!

  • I must say, even though the sound quality isn't that good, the song is great!!

  • @LegionaryCohort480 I actually used a Logitec mic to record this and a few other songs back in 07. I gotta say though, this one came out sounding the best. Thanks for the comment.

  • 44 people has been cursed by Morghot, they miss the like button

  • backstab gabilburk

  • @colechiefcole

    strike gabilburk

  • @colechiefcole One of the few comments I've had regarding my time spent on T2T. Thanks again for taking notice, as where else would you find a song based on a game which was based on lotr?! Most folks were confused over the name, when it first released, it took me a while to explain "Angband" was a mere credit to the devs at T2T. Again thanks for listening.

  • @colechiefcole help suicide

  • great song and video. im a fan of LOTR and this inspires me. well for those people who judge they can suck my nuts for them to shut the hell up.

  • @44thepistol Thank you for your compliment. So far as my music is conerned you can check out my reverbnation site at reverbnation . com /outlawson

  • @timothysepperhart no worries mate =)

  • I like it.

I would have preferred less strenght in doing chords and only a singing voice.

(I tell that only because it's my taste: I like the lyrics and the music. It fixes clearly the concept and the words). Have you imagined to add in some flutes? :)

  • @TheBraveDiamond The strength in the chords I used were by choice, as the song is, in itself strong-willed for me to have used open chords instead of barred would have completely defeated that purpose. I do see where you're coming from artistically though, I've written recorded other stuff with keyboards and other instruments. This didn't call for that. Thank you for your comment though and please keep in touch.

  • Loooooool greaaaaaaat song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How can I buy your CD?

  • @ddpresearch07 I will be releasing my first Itunes Amazon CD through reverbnation com/outlawson in a few months!!!

  • Great song!!!!!Heils from Serbia!!!

  • Nicely done. The recording quality isn't the greatest, but I enjoyed your playing, and you've put good lyrics to your instrumentals.

I hope you do another recording of this in higher quality. I believe it will really shine.

  • Lyric please!

i love your voice too. From Japan.

  • How can you buy a cd with this on it?

  • I feel like this would be a lot better if the recording quality was better, but as it is, I really can't understand 2 out of 10 words. Please record with better equipment if you ever get the chance.

  • it is wierd to think that the world would change in the batle of the powers and never been the same

  • Great talent! Keep it up!

  • I can understand folks why some folks don't like original compositions, I mean seriously, why should people do such things when you recieve much more noteriety when you cover popular music? People speak of flaws in regards to art, but I feel its that same fabric that makes us unique. If 39 of the 85k folks who have watched this don't agree and find theirselves perfect and feel they can do better then by all means share and be free, but don't hate me for respectively doing the same.

  • this is a very good song!

  • i enjoyed it and i don't understand how anyone couldn't

  • wow. this. is. great!

  • you are a realy good creator/ singer

  • The last couple of years that this video has been posted i've been mostly amazed by all the attention i've received. I feel truly blessed in a big way for all of your comments and notes on this small part of my life. Regardless of all the negative feedback, i've always been open to constructive criticism. Around 10 years ago when I was 19 I posted my very first efforts on guitar to garageband. I learned very fast how soon people judge and how harsh words can be but I never allowed to stop me.

  • Well done, Timothy. Very creative.

  • Please post the lyrics. :)

  • It is good, I like it.

  • F people that arnt into this like this man.

  • Love it, really cool, man^^

  • awesome dude :D

  • nice playing man your really good all these pricks just dont know how hard it is to play a guitar so they say u suck dont listen to them man take it from me im a fifth grade guitarist YOUR GOOD!

  • Quite the voice and skill, I really like this, I found this a couple years ago, and I keep listening to it, you're quite handy with this kind of thing I'm sure, you should definitely upload more videos.

  • pretty good bro!

    Cheers

  • Thank you!! You rock!!

  • why, that was a damn nice song

  • good

  • I love how complete strangers judge me for even trying to be remotely different from mainstream radio. Seriously people, if you want to listen to that shit go look upp lady ga ga or Justin Beiber. Don't judge me for singing and playing guitar. Life is about having fun and doing amazing things, not stopping to judge other people for giving an effort to be different. I never cared much for praise, but i've got quite a bit to be shared and I thank everyone!!

  • @timothysepperhart Let them be man. You are doing this for you and for everyone who likes sharing such experiences i suppose. Keep rollin'

  • @timothysepperhart well although you say taht you don't like when people judge others, yet I think what you are doing is really great, for you were not daunted by others. Good video man :D

  • @timothysepperhart

disregard the thoughts of others, and just remember......."ONLY God can judge YOU"

    - I enjoyed it very much :)

    A

  • @timothysepperhart You play beautifully, keep it up, man!! I just bought the book of the story about Hurins children... And apart from the lyrics, I like the music very much too... Bless you man....

  • @timothysepperhart I love this music!! I'm quite a fan of ballads and sea shanties, and to hear something in that style set to a LOTR subject is truly awe-inspiring. Great work and keep it up. I hope to hear more.

  • Every time this video is played, an elf dies.

  • very nice

  • woah really good man, i think if the voice quality was a bit better (kinda hard to understand sometimes) and the guitar a bit lower it would be amazing! great job! lyrics would be cool too! :)

  • this is a pretty sweet song dude. So fucking epic. Simple but godamn

  • man this is awesome! very epic song!!!may the light of valinor guide your steps :P.nai ecetlar nauvas laici :)

  • I thought that was brilliant. I am a guitarist myself. Very inspiring. I love Lord of the rings. Well done mate.

  • You shouldn't have to listen to all the trollers, you did a really good job, and you SHOULD do what you want to do, its only right.

  • Comment removed

  • Great song

your song refers to the events during the lord of the rings so your title is a little miss leading.

    Great song though!!

  • Sauron was the maia who worked with Melkor

the supreme evil is Melkor, not Sauron

  • @FullmoonW0lf

When Sauron wielded the one ring and was at the peak of his powers in second age, he was more powerful than Morgoth was.

    Btw, impressive song.

  • were did you took that information?

  • @Nightrain34 no, melkor was the master, souron was the leutenent, even witht he ring souron would still be subserviant to melkor's power. though their intentions where different, melkor poured his power into everything he did all the black creatures ect. Melkor also desired to destroy wheras souron desires to order the world.

  • Comment removed

  • Um..... not really. It took all the might of the Valor to defeat Melkor/Morgoth, because men, elves and dwarves couldn't get the job done by themselves. Sauron was defeated in single combat with a man (Isildur) - something that would never in a million years happen to Melkor!

  • mate what the hell are you basing that on, morgoth was an order of magnitude more powerfull than sauron, it took all the valar and mayai to defeat him whereas men elves and mayai took sauron out...

  • I personally don't like this music but, like tolkienfann said, it's a matter of opinion

  • lad your music rocks..everythin is a matter of taste..some may not like it..so dont listen to it..for us we love it..plz post the lyrcis..

  • 2 camels in a tiny car!!!!

  • My only problem with this vid is it has nothing to do with either the war of powers or the war of wrath, You mention alot of kingdoms an peoplse around in the 3rd age but nothing about the actual Fall of Angband or even any mention of Melkor? You do realize Angband was Morgoth Buaglirs fortress not Thu right?

  • About the quality or lack thereof - I believe, if you wanted "radio quality" music, you would listen to the radio. You drive yourself to work everyday and listen to probably the same songs everyday because that's the kind of quality your being forced to believe in. I might object to this standard because I am a songwriter living in a modern world who is being TOLD that I HAVE to go by what other people want to hear.. but really, what i'm saying is fuck what you want to hear, what about me?

  • @timothysepperhart ummm... If you want to share and be praised for it, you will have to. That's true of anyone doing anything, the only way to defeat the critic is to overwhelm him. Singing acapella, it wouldn't matter, but quality is expected of recorded performances. I'm not commenting on the quality of your music; I'm just pointing out a fact of life.

  • @blkwhtrbbtX I never claimed to be professional - I simply wanted to make a song about Tolkiens world. You're obviously a critic, I can see that - but you've got the wrong guy. I don't want to be famous. I just like writing and singing songs. So far as quality is concerned, you're free to not listen to my music - otherwise, why would you go out of your way to bother me with your opinion? I love playing guitar and singing, it gives me a creative outlet. You on the other hand obviously don't.

  • @timothysepperhart I never said it was a bad song. In fact, I rather liked it. I was just pointing something out. I'm no professional myself, either. I suppose I don't really have room to talk, but there's no need to be so defensive. I do apologize if I came across as offensive, I assure you that was not my intention.

  • The problem i've got with people feeding into this idea that it has everything to do with JRR Tolkien is that it it is simply only a means to an end really. My recording technique for better or for worse has always been a part of songwriting culture - in the the true form of the word, for the truest sense of it's craft. Don't use very many fancy things to cover up for my lack of talent. I've been recording and dealing with these blood thirsty bastard critics for 10 years now..

  • cool !!!!!

  • It's so sad that so many of you fools crawl out from your posts just to attack me for writing a song and sharing it to the world. What else would you be good for if you were not born into a world full of different music and ideas? People have always grown from culture and art. Where would we be if nobody tried to express themselves, if without any form of art, this world would be void of any talent. So without any further due, I would like to thank my supporters for their support.

    T.S.E.

  • Don't mind the haters. They're no-talent bums with nothing better to do than troll youtube looking for people to insult. One of your detractors even counted "raping" as a hobby. Suffice to say -- he's got serious problems!

It's a good song. One suggestion, the guitar is a little louder than your vocals which makes the lyrics difficult to understand.

  • this fails, sounds like cheap inspirement and is repetitive and only brings the first taste of being inspired. in other words you brutally lack talent and fails on making up something yourself. atleast tolkien lets miserable wannabes like you creep in the shadow of his ghost.

  • If you like fantasy movies I am part of a film group movies made by Shadowyn films on You Tube

movie like Soul Searching or a Chritsmas movie called Wintertide

  • Why is it called the battle of Angband it is called Nírnaeth Arnoediad or Battle of Unnumbered Tears besides it has nothing to do with this song

  • u get a life

  • Comment removed

  • you know the least important are the images, right? dork

  • I love it! Could you give me the lyrics?

  • Hobbits weren't around yet when _Angband_ fell. Nor were the Wizards - they didn't arrive till thousands of years later. But good song!

  • Not bad, not bad :)

  • Can you give me the lyrics for this?

  • Oh my God, it's amazing! Congratulations on your success! The music and lyrics are just amazing

  • I just wanted to stop in to give thanks to everyone who's watched my music video for "The Battle of Angband" these last 2 years. Quite truly some of the comments taken back to the history of the dwarves and other free races has been equally just as nice. For those of you who have thanked me for this effort, thank you. The idea from this song came from me playing an online based RPG called "The Two Towers" for quite a number of years here online. I mean really I wasnt expecting 17,000 views.

  • i want to got that song its amazing--

  • excellent work!well done

  • WOAH YOUR COOL

  • dude you should so make another one.. i was wonderin' did you make this up? i would love the lyrics RAWR

  • the epitome of epic

  • YouTube needs more people like you.

  • Good stuff. . .

  • what a nice song do you have notes?

  • What's the title of this song?????????

    Thanks!

  • Great song. You're quite talented but get the info right. Angband had fallen long before any of the Istari even set sail from the undying lands to stop the threat of Sauron. Also, The Unnumbered Tears was in an earlier age than the dwarven kingdoms in khazad-dum.

  • yea you learn all about the battle of unnumbered tears in the book: The Children of Hurin

  • Not so... Kazad Dum was the ancient drawven abode the elves long ago in the days before the Girdle of Melian named Hadhodrond and was renowned for its stonework... that outscored even the great caves of the Noldor. You can thank Caranthir the dark and Elu Thingol for inviting dwarvs to the party... althrough King Greymantle payed for that folly with his life.NEVER TRUST A DWARF(sniffs brew)

  • Comment removed

  • well done, a noble effort

  • Nírnaeth Arnoediad=The Battle of Unnumbered tears...

  • Great Tolkien inspired song but I have to ask... The song is the battle of angband. Are you talking about Nírnaeth Arnoediad or The (Battle of) Unnumbered Tears?

But you say things like gandalf was there and so were the men of Numenor, when in fact Angband fell long before the coming of the Istari or Wizards into Middle Earth. Secondly the men of Numenor did not even exist until after the fall of Morgoth. So the song was good, but get ur info right next time.

  • Nirnaeth Arnoediad and The Battle of Unnumbered Tears are the same thing aren't they?

  • yes they are the same thing

  • yes.

  • wow, neat song

  • dude i want a copy!

one question tho...why the battle of angband? i thought gandalf and the kingdoms in khazad-dum and lothlorien came after the fall of angband and beleriand?

  • they did

  • Top stuff man, well done!
