  • Its a copy from mercedes and bmw. the best cars are german cars!

  • turn off the vsc and these can do pretty mean burnouts.

  • Am going to buy one like this in 2015!

  • This was a cool video. I am an LS430 driver myself and love the car! That 430 could use a major detail though! The leather in that car had seen better days. I really enjoyed this short film. Nice job!

  • I am a HUGE Mercedes-Benz fan and enthusiast, and I can say that this car is wonderful (we have one). It is very comfortable, yet also has a powerful and great-sounding engine. It is pointless to argue that German cars are better than Japanese cars, because they both are meant to target different groups of people...and they both succeed in satisfying those targets. Again, this is coming from a HUGE fan of German cars.

  • that car is just awsome, i own a blue onyx LS and i love every bit of it, good vid too!

  • 0-60 in 5.4

  • sssssssss so much ssssssss hahahahhahah

  • Lexus is Number #1.

  • BMW, Mercedes and Audi are like the kids who worked har...d to get through a tough school system from Kindergarden to graduation. Lexus is like the rich spoiled kid whose rich daddy (Toyota) literally paid off the school and bought a diploma for them thus giving them the "status" of "luxury brand". Yeah, whatever. Lexus sucks. Brand prestige and heritage has to be EARNED through history. BMWs got it. Audi has got it. Mercedes has definitely got it. Lexus doesn't.

  • @kirbyswarp Bmw, MB, and Audi they got heritage and history alright b/c that's what your buying it for. Not because of the "car" itself but because of the "brand" regardless of the car even if the car doesn't even come close in term of value to the actual cost of it. My brother in law E350 with only 67k on it drive like shit compare to my dad lexus gs with OVER 116K on it and my uncle bmw X5 spent more time at the dealer(thank god he has warranty) with only 92k than actually at his house.

  • @DragonsKing91 Yes, and my cadillac has got 150k on it and nothing has ever broken on it, and lexus really doesn't have value. The new buick Lacrosse beats the lexus E350 in every way, even interior materials are better. The hs250h is an overpriced prius, that has no value at all. The ct250h is ugly, slow, costs alot, and doesnt even get great milage, Dont get me started on the gx470-teribble cars- the seats are unconfortabe, legroom is a disgrace to suvs when you start it, the engine is SO LOUD

  • @kirbyswarp 1. Lexus doesn't have any value that it continue to be the top in resale among others. Go buy a BMW or MB new and see how much it drop in 2 years compare to lexus S550, 760i doesnt even come close when it come to value with the LS460. 2 your comparing the es350 which come out in 2007 to a buick that recently came out? Look my new buick beat the Es350 that came out in 2007 idk but thats not beating more like try to catch up from behind.

  • @DragonsKing91 So and if it camme out in 2007, why does it still cost more than a new car??And plus i dont like mb or bmw either-

  • @kirbyswarp my dads ls430 with 175k miles and nothings broken and it gets 21 mpg so blow me

  • @methtweaker23 I have had many american cars, and all of that bull shit about reliability is stupid, my cousin's cavalier is going strong at 245k and so are all of the chevy and ford trucks going way past 300k. And my friend's gx470 is only 6 years old andt the clear cost came off( in california) and so many things have broken after only 75k. Plus its loud as hell, and has laughable legroom, and price.

  • Looks like a video from the 80's

  • What is the name of the song in this video?

    Thanks in advance

  • nice toyota

  • goofy chick's blabbing distracts

  • I think my dad bought a low-spec version of this car. cause it doesn't have the satnav and stuff. :(( but it still has the nice v8 though.

  • I didn't have Satellite Navigation on my LS either. It was the basic model. But it ran fine i took it everywhere.

  • lexus is da best luxury brand they never copy overated overpriced bmw n mercedes. dont even compare american cars to lexus cuz der just garbage.

  • I have replaced our BMW for one of these. Wish I did it sooner, the BMW was susceptible to leaks, electronic faults etc all the time. I have had NO trouble with the lexus

  • love lexus!

  • this is the target or inspiration lincoln needed to go with...i could see a copy of this car being the lincoln town car.

  • empty talk about quality lexus until you have one than you realise what you missing trough all your poor live . Lexus target was to match mercedes cars and what hapend ? mercedes now try to match lexus

  • who wants an ls430 i have an LS460L fully loaded and it fucking boss!

  • @redcap06 i dont know what the options in the 460 are yet but i have the 430 ultra...power reclining rear seats, refrigerator (not a cooler), massaging rear seats, power sunshade with side sunshades, power closing doors, and to top it off a suede headliner! im looking into the 460 though...

  • Hey, best student-produced commercial I've ever seen.

  • 20model LS400 is verry good desigin but LS430 30model is not desigin

  • thank you so much for the video ! my dad is buying one this Sunday and i cant wait! WOOOO

  • Thanks! :)

  • They are THE SAME DAMN PRICE, DUMBASS. And comparing a Lexus to a Toyota is asinine. They may share the same goals of quality and refinement, but Lexuses are infinitely superior to Toyotas. And your stupid "Benz".

  • lexus is the best car for me because i can fit in it. i cant fit in benz's and my knees hit everything. i fit perfectly in a lexus with extra space and im 6' 6"

  • Yawn. You should check out the comments I leave on those ST videos. I hate that shit. Just as much as I hate overpriced Toyotas. You want a real luxury brand with history and heritage? Cadillac, Lincoln, hell even Imperial destroys that overpriced Toyota crap that Lexus offers. If I want a luxury car I'll get a luxury car from a brand with prestige. Lexus has none.Overpriced and rebadged Toyotas is what they are. Now stop replying because I can't see that Toyota Celsior in this video any longer.

  • Lincoln? haha... funny funny man :)

  • Let's be honest here. Lincoln is one cool ass brand (leave out the mid 1990s to early 2000s) and their recent products are stylish (have that Lincoln style). Lexus products all look like rebadged Toyotas (some are) and boring. There is ZERO (ZERO!) design cohesion. The Lexus IS could be a Kia Forte while the ES could be a Camry with leather and a higher price tag. None of their cars look special. Period.

  • This car with the sport suspension has the turning circle or a sub compact, I have driven my dad's and is amazing to drive

  • cool guys keep going

  • vERY NICE PROJECT!

  • That was no prof driver, he drove with his hand on the gear stick in every scene. Which is not good. YEYE

  • you know people with 2002 mercedes? send them money for their birthday--they need it to keep up with all the repairs. lexus may be boring to drive, but thats because youre looking for torque and a sports car feel. believe me though, if you were the passenger in the lexus and you were trying to sleep, youd nap like a baby. a gunshot could go off and the sound wouldnt penetrate a lexus.

  • Lexuses DO have a soul, asswipe. They display understated refinement. Not huge amounts of money. If you want to wave your wealth in everyone's face, go ahead. But if you just want a GREAT car that will last for years and years, you want a Lexus. Oh, and by the way, the LS is one of the most reliable cars in the US, PERIOD. How many times have you seen a first-gen (1989-94) LS on the road? Now how many times have you seen ANY "Benz" under the 2000 model year?

  • u bimmer fan boi always biased to performance lexus just want to be or build the best in the world with a toyaota platform that comes with bullet proof reliablity not to mention the quality they provide with many luxury ammenties the skys the limit for lexus bmw=performance nothing less

  • LOL. Me a BMW fanboy? I hate BMW but I would take one anyday over an overpriced Toyota. Best platforms in the world? You mean like those rusting Tundra's? How about those Camry transmission issues? Hell, how about those GS350 engine fires that were quietly swept under the carpet? Give me a fucking break about this Lexus = so reliable bullshit. Toyota quality is so overrated. I speak from first hand experience. Fuck that piece of shit Camry I used to drive. Biggest shitbox ever in my garage.

  • Hey dumb ass , hilly billy redneck , lexus is the worlds most luxury car and best bullet proof engine and chassis, which you wont understand anyway, so go drive your ford tempon .... because thats all you can afford. stupid redneck

  • @laptopboone I couldnt agree more, lexus is gear toward people that want most of out their money not for showing off, bmw and benz are nowhere near lexus

  • Lexus makes very gorgeous cars.

  • Previous generation and current generation Lexus' are very good cars. So are current and previous generation BMW's. American luxury cars are cars that last very long without having too many problems. So can Lexus' and BMW's.

How about let me design the entire fleet of automobiles for any car company, and I guarantee you all the cars will be near perfect.

  • Since when was BMW an American car producent?

  • BMW makes excellent cars. American automobile companies also make excellent cars.

  • so what if the car is ugly, as long as its reliable id still get it. i dont care about looking cool and knowing thecar is a piece of shit, i wanna feel safe and know its reliable, that i can get to point a to b without anything breaking.

  • Do not be so confident about build quality in Japanese cars of the past, as with you should not be so confident of build quality of German cars in the past. There may be more so minor problems in Japanese cars than German cars of the past. That is overheating, blown head gaskets, transmission problems, leakage of oil, suspension problems, electronics, etc. Models 2000 and Up have seen major improvements in overall quality of all brand cars. Japanese automobiles are improving very fast.

  • not to mention the nice real wood

  • very well done imo

  • Well reliability in new model cars are still a question. I doubt it if a NEW BMW or Mercedes will break down early. But of course the Lexus LS has been the rumor as the most reliable luxury cars. I am condifent this generation LS is very dependable. I wouldn't say this LS is ugly either. In fact I think it is handsome. The interior is very classy, smooth and presentful. The navigational screen is fitted nicely in the center console and the buttons are flush.

  • i have this car and i love it

  • they are, its when the Asian try to style a car, it ALWAYS ends up looking awkward and ugly!

  • سياره جميله =GOOD

  • The LS430 was their last best design for the LS. The new model doesn't look that great imo

  • I made a 3D model of this car for Racer and Rigs of Rods

  • This car is my love. My mom has one and Im getting it for my first car :) I consider myself spoiled

  • ugly wheels

  • thanks

  • this cars a freakin tank!

  • Next time, you should say "the lexus ls430" less.

  • I too thought that the words "Lexus LS430" were used a fair few times. It made it sound quite weird.

  • Japs did invent things in auto industry you cant say they didnt but i agree they didnt invent abs and traction controll. japan is one of the country that spends billions for R&D so there should be something.

  • That is one pretty baby

  • WTH?!?

  • this one is nice...but the new one 2007 460 is way better

  • No, this model (2001 - 2006) has a much more original design. Lexus and other asian car makers only know how to copy Germans and American car designers. It's a known fact. Anyway, this model a unique interior (note the A/C vents between the Nav and rest of the dashboard, very original), the new one just looks like an oversized Camry, inside and out.

  • How is the LS 430 (widely seen as a bland and boxy fascimile of the previous generation S-Class) a more original design the LS 460, which uses a completely new design language?

  • uhhh. no not American cars. US cars lag behind Asian cars in every aspect for sure.

  • Are you sure? Last time I checked GM, Ford and Chrysler invented: ABS, Automatic transmission, airbags, air conditioning, V8 engine, V12 engine, four-wheel drive system, hybrid system (yes, not Honda or Toyota), I could go on and on. Japs never invented anything useful in a car. All they do is steal technology and claim it as theirs then have the nerve to showcase it. I wouldn't care if they gave credit where it belongs.

  • Carmakers copy each other. And, Inventing something doesn't mean that they're superior to others. Crappy US cars these days are GOOD examples. One thing about Hybrid-Toyota was the first to and introduce to the market. There're no specific data who made it first, but having prototypes in the lab not uncompleted and not ready for sale won't give them any credit. Steal tech and claim as theirs? uh. no.

  • continued: Showcases of variations and improvements are done by all carmakers not just japs. Auto sales tell the answer.

  • actually the first hybrid was an American car in the 1910s, it was sold.

  • kitteh2006// no you're wrong. it was first built in Germany late 1890s. Again, what i said about toyota's hybrid was that they were first to successfully commercialize and make it complete-form to introduce to the general public. Never said anything about them inventing it.

  • DJFG85 you're wrong baby......

    ABS invented by mercedes-benz

    airbags invented by mercedes-benz

4WD invented by an english engineer Joeseph Bramah

V8 invented by "leon levavasseur" (i think he is french)

  • That is a contradictory statement. How does it counter my post? I said all useful technology was invented in Europe and the US. ABS was invented by GM (but only in the rear wheels), 4-wheel ABS was invented by Mercedes. Just one example of many. The Japanese never invent anything.

  • NO NO NO you didn't say "europe and us"

    the japanese never invent anything?!

then explane where all the money they put into R&D goes to?

then why american cars are rubbish?(i own one btw)

then why japanese cars are not rubbish?

    answer these....

  • Isma3 ya Sa3oodi, I don't have time for you. Name me a few things invented in Japan, you can't. Europe and the United States (mainly by Germanic people) are the pinnacle of science and engineering. The car, airplane, jet, computer, CD, internet, electricity, camera, telephone, I can go on and on.

  • yes, there is one thing that they created first and i think its one of the most important feature ever should be created in a car,

    RELIABILITY.

  • Reliability is a unique thing in Toyota/cars, German cars are not reliable in my experience, but Jap cars are bland and quite often ugly, which is why I dont buy them... why cant they make a car that looks like a BMW but is built like a Jap car?!?!?

  • I see what you mean.

ands its called the, ISF? ahah the RELIABLE M3.. to me :)

  • I have owned 2 bmws and 3 vws and all have been poor, comparable to fiat in terms of quality and reliability, the VWs were the worst. My fathers new (at the time) 1998 Golf broke down 3 times in 5 mths, all with different things, fuel pump failed, Ecu fuse blew for no reason, and the Earth connection from the ignition pack fell to pieces! interior felt cheap and the glovebox hinges broke off (brittle plastic), windscreen wiper linkage snapped when the car was only 18 months old.. reliable? NOT!

  • All cars will have problems down the long road. New model cars will do well. Reliability is not the right word to be using when talking about new model cars. Looks can be philosophized about and come to compromise. Not many truths lie in the 'I', most all is in the 'We'. A hand full of new model Japanese cars do look attractive and many all new model BMW's are built well. So as with a hand full of new BMW's look attractive and many all new Japanese cars are built well.

  • Would they be still selling it in 6 years I want to buy one.

  • what's in 6 years?

  • Not bad, but the chick's voice got annoying after a while.

  • An A, congrats. she's doing still photography as part of her paper this semister. next time I see her, I'll show this to her, she'll be impressed, I'm sure.

  • Hey, I'm looking at buying something like this and I found your vedio very informative. I'd be interested in what mark you received. My youngest is doing a media/communications paper and hopes to graduate end of this year. This looks heaps more than the stuff she has been doing.

  • I received an A in my class considering everything here was made by me, concept, script, shots, audio, everything. I am a graphic designer by default, but I know a little video. I received a Multimedia Degree, So i know a little of everything.

  • Nice video how'd u get a lexus through the dealer and also u shouda shown the full interior but besides that it's a very nice video

  • for someone who doesnt know "alot" about cars i think it was a very good job!

  • i would have chosen some classical music not really this.

  • Yeah, I had a couple of ideas for music but the teacher made it mandatory that I use royalty free music. The soundtrack is my friends. ;p

  • not bad bud. and u bighavs lets see u make a commercial u poser. this was professionally done

  • I take it Toyotas marketing department haven't given you a job yet.

That really was poor... don't tell me that was for a university project??

Full of mistakes, errors and no-no's.

"full size alloy rims internal spare wheel." Why would you bring this up, why don't you tell them it comes with 2 seats in the front and a bonnet and 4 wheels.

  • This was a class final, and it had certain specs I needed to comply with. All material used on here was created by me which includes all of the video, music, information, etc. Please do not critique if you have no work to show of your own.

  • Toyota's 'marketing department' doesn't handle any advertising for Lexus. That is done by Team one, a division of Saatchi & Saatchi.

  • thanks, maybe they'll hire me in the future ;p

  • waoooo man i love this car speically lexus
