I feel really cheated, as a fan, that these two will never get together. :( Damnit, Moffat, you couldn't have indulged us Amy/Eleven shippers for at least a few seasons? Just had to make it awkward, early on, by telling us River is Amy's daughter... :(

@darkdesigns I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds the Doctor//River romance thing awkward, I HATE them as a couple. It just feels wrong.... I love both Doctor//Amy and Amy//Rory, both I love equally. However Doctor//River, I will always hate with a passion.
