@themainproblem It doesn't really matter, if the motor is turning the wrong direction, switch any 2 wires to reverse the direction. I never pay any attention to the colors. Thanks, Rob
@icksanoid Your welcome. There are some fixed mounts on ebay that work nice, mostly for the 35-36. This way you can go from the 35-30, 35-36, 35-42 or the 35-48 and only have to adjust the nuts.
@robjinhouston Actually I think the 25,000 "other people" saw your obsessive, compulsive lineup of the cheapest outrunners on the market & opened your upload out of sheer curiosity ( NOT FASCINATION )- jeesh! Don't put yourself on a pedestal little one, it's only a hobby....
@robjinhouston Is that the best you've got? LMAO! FYI I wasn't the one who named myself geneticallysuperior, my teammates coined the name for me due to my high win ratio in 1/8th scale off road ... Read my channel fucktard & you wouldn't make such ignorant statements.
@foncris It would seem so, but the 35-36c is one tough little motor. With no LG I found the sport props(and larger ones) performed much better than the E props. So I ran them. Both my remaining T-28's have LG again, one runs the stock p rop, the other a 10x5e or 10x7e. Back to flying the T-28 mostly scale. BTW I still have that motor running on one plane, 2-3 shaft changes and 18 months, heck of a deal for a $20 motor.
@robjinhouston would you recommend me to use sport props on my electric conversions? i have a TGY SK 46-60 500Kv and i am using a 14x7E apc prop on a 60 size P-40 from Nitromodels.
@dunkinghabits Hard to say, props are pretty cheap so it's easy to buy one and test it out. Check out the amps with a watts up to make sure evernthing is in spec or close The smaller turnigys I run I do tend to overload at times. But they hold up for the short bursts I give them. Without looking it up that large motor and low KV should be able to handle a larger prop. JMHO!
@dunkinghabits BTW, I ran a turnigy 35-48 900 (black one) with a 14x7e 4s pulling about 60-65a. Had tons of power but ran a little hot, still fine after 10 flights. This was on 3DHS 51" Slick 3D plane.
@bobby0panganiban The wood one is simple 1/4" ply. The other is aluminum I cut from a piece of aluminum angle with a hole saw. The screws and nuts are off the shelf from Lowes. The Gold X mount is from hobbycity, but now I use the X mount that comes with the turnigy motors.
You can use the shaft end with your own prop adapter if you want to. It's 4mm diameter. I prefer the turnigy prop adapter. It is simple to push the shaft through. To adjust the motor depth, you adjust the screws on the mount in or out. I have them all about the same in the video. You can use this type of mount on just about any motor. The plane in the video has one of the mounts installed.
Just take one of these and screw it to the firewall using the T-28 screws(actually a little longer is better). The thrust angle is in the firewall not the mount. As sceen in this video if you use the Turnigy prop adapter, you will need to cut a larger hole in the front cowl.
You are correct, it is a sport prop. I find they do pull more than the E props. The little motor and 4mm shaft can handle them. I run them pretty hard, of course thats the fun of it and a $20 motor. Thanks
I have 4 turnigy esc's with all black wire outputs. Does the yellow wire always go to the middle esc output? Thank you.

Are you fascinated with your cheap little turnigy collection? Lol

@GeneticallySuperior1 Not really, but you and 25,000 other people are I guess. I only have one left in the fleet. Same T-28. Great comment.

@GeneticallySuperior1 Great comment from a guy who named himself "GeneticallySuperior1". I'll leave it at that.

looks like your p 40 took a ding to the nose huh?
aaronrose83 11 months ago
@aaronrose83 huh? I don't see a P-40 in the video. Actually I don't own a P-40. It's a T-28, like the title says.
robjinhouston 11 months ago
why aren't you using electric props? the one you have on your t-28 is too heavy for that motor.

is there like an extention that i need? and does the shaft go into the firewall fromt eh motor or can you switch it?

I just added a video response that will give you a better look at the mount on a T-28.

do you happen to have a vid or pictures of how you mounted it on your trojan? im looking to upgrade to a turnigy motor
thanks,

Turnigy rocks! Can't beat the price!
I LOVE HOBBY KING (Hobby City). They are taking over!

Almost looks like you have a glow engine prop on there. I that what it is and are you getting better results with that one over an electric prop?

What you have on the table there would be a couple grand in Hacker motors, but wouldn't fly any better. Turnigy all the way!

Roger that! 35-36c is my favorite even though their price has inched up. Just put one in a new P-51 BL with a simular aluminum mount. Pretty fast.
robjinhouston 2 years ago
can you give the spec of the motors you shown there?

so those are 2 wood, and 3 aluminum homemade mounts there?
