It's called bioenergy, or Chi, Ki, Mana.. different cultures have different names for it. Basically it's kind of "biological electricity" which is different from normal electricity. You can't measure it through volt-meter for instance. You can however measure the effects it has and it has been studied in laboratory and they found out it's new kind of energy which is not known yet. It can't be blocked by means we know (lead, faraday cage).
