  • ehm. in this vid its like dont handle. and here: /watch?v=2Y9cCLpAQv4&feature=feedrec_grec_index u explain how to handle?

even doing maintenance u do not have to handle your tarantula. just work around it or place a cup over it if its a bit more defensive sp / hairkicker

  • i hate how she talk down to you

  • they aren't that dangerous or that large of a responsibility. any animal is a responsibility whose life is in your hands, but they really aren't much work. females in most species do live for a long time, though.

  • OMG I have arachnid phobia but I dont kow why I keep looking up videos of spiders ehh I feel wierd O-0

  • they are not dangerous :D

only in the wrong hands (expertvllage)

  • holy fuck u dont know anything about tarantulas OMFG

  • I've never understood why people would want a pet SPIDER ... especially a big, hairy one like a tarantula.

In my house, the bigger the spider, the quicker I'm going to find something to kill it with! O_e

  • 0:49. "Turn off the camera... Im so embarrassed... Stupid bitch thinks she know how to take care of me!" ...She needs to get her facts straight. U can handle your T every once and a while so it doesnt become aggressive like the ones u see in the youtube videos where people put tongs or pencils in and the tarantulas try to murder them.

  • She nods sooo much.

  • PLZZ ANSWER= is the pink slamon bird eater a hair kicker?

    how about the black Brazilian?

  • @MrWeeRhys All new world tarantulas are hair kickers.

  • i really like trantulas but i dont know from where to buy

  • if you wanna know something about Tarantulas watch Jon3800's videos there great

  • Can someone basically tell me how much it costs to own one weekly and the setup? The amount of care they need, are they high maintenence?? And do they bite often? and can i but one at a regular pet shop?? I didn't get any information i needed from this video -.-

  • asswhole

  • You have got to be the dumbest bitch ever if you really thing they live for twenty years.

  • blonde bitch, get back to the pole!

  • Well thank you for stating the obvious :P

  • can some 1 please make a new account called "The Real Expert Village" please for the love of god lol

  • i had one then i mom killed it :(

  • I can't touch or carry my cat around, she's the most evil thing on Earth. -.-

  • @fluffyreptiles LOL! Good one.

  • It's not hard to keep a T. They don't require much T. Literally anyone can own one.

You buy container, substrate, waterdish, box of crickets, a hide, bark(arboreals) and.. that's more or less it.

Throw in one or two crickets once a week and they'll be fine.

  • tee hee hee that rosie has a dingleberry

  • My brother had a pet tarantula. It got loose and I sat on it. It left a big spider-shaped stain on my butt

  • Lol she makes caring for a rose hair sound like rocket science, in a robotic fashion!

  • She said "tarantulas" 13 times

  • I hate this big ass ... uargh i won't say it -.-' . BIATCH! Max out...

  • fuckin stupid

  • BS tarantula is not like a fish because sometimes a tarantula can be handled just you need to limit the handling. And you can't handle a fish or else it flops out of your hand.

  • I'd love a Tarantula but I'm not too sure about keeping one in a tank I obviously know that's the only way to keep one, so I'm kind of in two minds about it, it seems a bit cruel to put a wild animal in a tank just for me to have as a pet?

  • It's not really cruel.. You're normally giving the spider a much longer life than it would've had in the wild. Most spiderlings die before they reach maturity, so when you buy yourself a sling, you may have saved something that otherwise would've been eaten in the wild.

As for wild caught specimens, that is more of an iffy subject. So long as you get captive bred I wouldn't worry.

  • @PurePerfection Agreed.

  • buy a tarantula? pffft! better off just getting a nice cuddly dog! woof woof! ...now try hugging a tarantula

  • what do they eat, apart from sleeping humans

  • I don't know if you are trying to be funny or not, but tarantulas DON'T do that. However, camel spiders we've encountered in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, etc. would inject whomever, whatever with an anesthetic and then begin to EAT THAT PART OF THEM! On one Marine, it was his cheek. Don't make jokes that scare unknowing people who wish to have tarantulas as pet - as some are very docile. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  • @yousini crickets mice (not good to feed them mice pinkies r ok.. ) and they dont eat humans they sence that you are too big and there venom cant kill you BUT STILL you can be allergic and die.. so... go to hospitol just in case.. im 10 yrs old and i got one in my room. : ) its a spiderling so cute!!! :: )

  • bullshit

  • Just curious - what's B.S?

  • the ppl in the video

  • Thank you. I thought you might have meant what I wrote - which is of fact as I'm an advocate of tarantula care (and of other animals) and I don't want half-wits, as in this video, teaching good people their own silly fears that are made up of what they learned in 1950's B-horror films.

  • Agreed. Those who kept T would know what's right or wrong instantly. As in this video - bullshit.

  • This video is a bad view of tarantulas in general as the Chilean rose-haired species is a very docile spider that has no documented bites the last I read. All this video does is scares potential buyers whom needen't be scared. Cobalt Blue, bird-eating and certain others are aggressive but this video makes no destinctions.

  • tarantula bite??can handle??

  • 0.52...cute

  • I wish people on expert village videos would talk like there an actual person. Not some automated machine...

  • couldnt of said it any better my friend

  • I'm 16 an have 4 xD

You don't get fed up :P

  • Ill get one soon

  • i have a tarantula..but she's like a runt compare to these big mofos XD...

  • All the slower animals live really long lives like turtles - there's even been a lobster that has lived 100 years. Also chinchillas and certain parrots live really long lives. My parents are probably going to end up putting their two parrots in the will.

  • ...

She said that Tarantulas are dangerous 2 times. DX

  • I LOVE spiders!

  • Pssh, my rose hair isn't 'dangerous' i've had her for 7 years and she hasn't bit me or anyone else yet. If you hold them a bit and take care of em... dont make sudden movements or flip out when you hold em and you'll be fine.

  • You know what's scary though? When I Was a little younger, I Forced spiders to bite me, (Because I Thought I'd become spiderman, I Was a little stupid) and now I'm ammuned to all bites from all spiders in my region (Canada) and I Got bit yesterday, I Saw it bite, I Really Didn't feel it, just saw bleeding, sort of like a horsefly. =P

  • Well, Im not immuned to ALL spiders in the world , that's not what i ment :P lol bye

  • Maybe none were poisonous

  • thats a pretty cool story bro, if they are not venomous it is probably pretty harmlessthe way i see it

  • all spiders are venomous just not all hurt humans

  • ive had 2 rose hair, the female was similar to yours, but the mature male was vicious from day one, ,bit me twice, unprovoked attacks...so you can never tell

  • Yeah that I wont disagree with because I had a male as well (I was going to breed the two) and he has bitten me 3 times and I gave him to a friend.

  • Are you absolutely sure that this aggressive tarantula IS a rose-hair? I'm asking since I had one for 17 years and she never became offensive towards me. I've read extensively and saw a documentary where a zoologist was trying to get one of these to bite him and couldn't, and remarked that there has never been any documented bites by a rose hair!? He may wish to hear from you because many animals specialists wish to find out the effects of the venom of Chilean rose-hairs upon humans.

  • So that means i cannot hold mine every other day???

  • just try to not touch it as much as possible...its not a cat :)

  • ooooh

hmm im not sure if i want one

    maybe someday

    thanks for the info!

  • i have got biten by 1

  • i have never got bit. you just have to know the tarantula.

  • My friend has 7 little hamsters and they just got born.I asked her if she could give me one and she did.I have a rose hair tarantula and gave a hamster to her and she ate it.If they eat mammals they can only eat one per week or month because of bones.

  • They only eat one rodent per week or month because they use so much of their venom to kill and turn the insides to liquid, it's a larger meal and they need more time to produce more venom - like a rattlesnake. Hope this helped.

  • how many crickets a week should i feed a chilean rosehair

  • ,ayby 1 to 3 thats what i feed depending on how fat u think it is

  • Witch is a better pet a Mexican fire leg or a Mexican red knee? in beauty, handling(aggression),Breeding,& less costly?

  • They r both beautiful but id say fire leg

  • Fire-leg is more colorful but more apt to throw hairs which can cause skin irritation. Red kneed are less colorful but pretty just the same, as well as docile. All of my T's (11 in all) are very easy to care for and inexpensive (water dish w/a sponge, heat, mist bottle, cave). Breeding is tricky and you could lose one or both if they fight and/or could get bit trying to separate them. It would be best if you get a book on T's or go on-line to get info - beginning with sexing. Good Luck!

  • Thanks for the info :D,I really want a tarantula i'm young but...I'll wait for it to grow :D.

  • This is the only video about Ts by expert village that contains truth.

  • That's great advice, too many people go into it unaware and get it wrong.

  • thank you for the information, it was interesting.
