No, it's a great album! But I guess the die hard pepper fans love earlier albums more, because of the 'pure' sounds, I myself prefer Blood Sugar over Californication, and I prefer Californication over Stadium Arcadium, but all their albums are great, its just that i like the 'raw' funkrock sound on BSSM.

keep your ears open for some good music by them, & hey if it turns out like OHM who cares? that album gets way too much abuse, had some great tunes on it & others with alot more potential.
