You obviously know NOTHING about the history of the trumpet... Trumpets didn't have valves until the mid 1800's yes BUT they were not limited to just 1 overtone series. Some early trumpets had holes like a recorder in there main pipe (I forget the name of these wholes off the top of my head but if you bothered to youtube natural trumpet you'd know this) while others used crooks to extend the length of the horn (the equivalant of putting in a longer or shorter lead pipe). Please stop teaching.

So, do you need to tune a trumpet like you would tune a guitar or a drum? Or do you tune it by cleaning it?
