Indie music is not a 'product', never has been, if anything it's a 'product' of the 80s/90s. Listen to Pixies, The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Of Montreal or early Modest Mouse if you want proper indie that isn't from the 00s... you probably won't though, because you sir, are a conceited fuck.

as you probably know, indie's actually (in music) defined as bands from smaller much less known lables, independent record labels,

tend to have a down to earth kinda feel to the bands too xD

independent bands that don't strive to get famous..kinda x) sorry, but I don't have a lot of "indie music knowledge " hahaha, this is just how I think about indie music , but, I guess there's a lot of different thoughts about it. how'd you define it then? ^^,

There are loads of 'bigger' bands on Indie labels though - Franz Ferdinand, White Stripes, Radiohead, Bloc Party, The Strokes, Maximo Park, Kaiser Chiefs - to name a few :)

buuut I know, of course there are bigger bands but it's known to be like, small bands ^^, An horse, rachael cantu and so on

AND because they are so amazing they tend to get big x)

a handful of great songs in there. shame bands like razorshite and the fratellis are actually regarded as great. would not say biffy clyro is indie or kate nash :s and hoppipolla is nowhere near sigur ros' best song this list just seems too safe to be taken seriously. glad art brut and the cribs are high though :)
