I owned one and she was stunning. I could trust her with other animals small children etc. But they have to be raised correctly. Their ears and tails are cropped naturally the ears are floppy ears and the tail curls like an Akita. They are a Shepherding dog and they are liabilities when defending the herd against wolves etc, I would spend $2000 on one in a heartbeat:)

These two dogs are Alabai. If you want to see real Kangal dogs write 'Toraman kangal' or 'Aslan kangal aksaray' and watch these videos please..Turkish Kangal is both shepherd and guard dog and height is about 85-90cm. (35 inches). Kangal is really very very powerful dog. Turkish pride..You can also write 'dev garip kangal'.. You must watch those videos..Cool videos..

These dogs are similar to Akitas in many ways. My Akita is very protective when strangers are around but does not seem to mind the people who are supposed to be there: mailman, deliveries, etc...Even if a different mailman shows up. He has INCREDIBLE comprehension. The only time I have seen aggression from him is when a construction worker here tried to bully him. My dog had him flat on his back with one tap to the chest. That's all, nothing more. The guy got the point and avoided my dog.

I think it's great that you can have these two males together, but I also feel that people should know that this is not always the case with this breed.

I have a big male cao, myself. He is very calm and social just like your Fritz, but he does not accept other males.

If they don't show immediate submission he will fight.

I think it is a question of bloodlines. Some of these dogs have dogdominance in the blood, you can't socialize it out.

I'm glad to see someone else having males together. I have always had a pack of males(not CAOs but GSD's, Presas and few other breeds) and never had a single problem.

Many times males get along better than females. People automatically seems to to think that males just can't get along. Thanks for proving them wrong! That's what i've tried to do for all my life :)
