I memorized from the first "I have a Dream" Line to The Last "Free at last" Line of Speech in elementary school for a production.. (Yes this speech it a lot longer then most people even know) Im happy these kids were able to do such a powerful thing as this. To those who say "MLK did it better" and and "it would have been better if one kid memorized the whole thing" (You know who you are...) I say STHU! This isn't about 1 kid or who did it best! It's about them all coming together as a whole!!

If African-Americans represented the rich and Caucasians represented the poor, then the statistics would be reversed. There is nothing about the color of one's skin that makes a person more or less likely to commit a crime.

The poverty stricken Caucasians live in extremely rural areas of the country where there is little in the way of law enforcement and citizens to fall victim to said crimes. In fact, most of their crimes go unnoticed since hardly anyone is around to be negatively affected by them. Contrast this with black poverty which is concentrated in urban areas. They go to jail b/c their crimes affect those around them.

Those in urban poverty can't go to very good schools, thus they don't get very good jobs, thus they steal, thus they go to jail, thus that's one less parent for little Timmy, thus that makes growing up with good values more difficult, thus...
You see my point. Poverty begets more poverty which affects everything from crime to school systems.
