It does that because he might have one wiimote and 2 Game cube controllers plugged into slots 3 and 4 or something like that  or one GC controller in 1 and 3 and the wiimote was pushed back to 4...

You have to have the platform there because you need to keep the other character.

1.Close to the top of the wall

2.Suspended in mid-air.

but the plat form prevents you from having to find a way keep the character in mid-air

If you look on the far left and the far right, you'll see those 2 small fallthrough platforms. Right where the platfrom touches the wall, use a move that will allow you to go through that exact spot. Preferably a recovery move.

I found a glitch too. you need:smash ball, wario and c.falcon

C.falcon takes the smash ball, wario takes from his bike and falcon uses the ball on wario. And then the bike will be invisible..

when C.Falcon releases the opponent from the grab, there's not enough space for both because of the platform blocking Falcon, so the opponent is shot through the wall. Without the platform, the game's programming places Falcon a bit lower so that there's room for both characters.
