Okay....so, how many times now has Gaius been accused of sorcery? Come on Arthur, use your head! Every single time he has been proven to be both innocent and loyal! That is one of the only things that frequently annoys me with this show; the characters have the unfortunate habit of continously accusing people who have been proven not-guilty in the past!
But don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Merlin! The best show on television! :D
"...talk alone"? I mean honestly, anything Arthur knows Merlin will too at least soon after! Merlin knows pretty much everything Arthur does--and more--so why CAN'T he listen?
Oh...and he wakes him up (on time), sees that he bathes, and encourages Arthur when he feels down and puts up with his complaining and bad moods. Yep. he's really the best servant ever. Not to mention friend.

Merlin knows Arthur's schedule, helps him keep it, writes his speeches, makes sure he has something to eat, gets him actually out of bed, sees that he'll be dressed, and does all this with enthusiasm and a smile, and he's still "the worst servant ever"?????? Poor Merlin. Still, I could learn a thing or two from him about serving others.
@Purplefizzgirl He has a Scottish accent but the real Cathars were a sect from the Languedoc region of Southern France, wiped out by the Roman Catholic Church by around 1300 a.c. because of their growing powerful influence.
@Purplefizzgirl You're welcome. Camelot is the Kingdom in the legend and in this re-write of that legend. I don't know where it supposed to be in this re-write but in the legend Camelot is thought to be in Wales and across in to Cornwall. The legend makes references to the land but nothing definitive. The Welsh make claims Camelot is theirs while the Cornish make claims Avalon is theirs (so maybe the Kingdom was on the land in between which is now under water!)

Arthur's Uncle is an ass. Gwaine was awesome to come to Merlin and offer his help. Arthur really needs to be of his own mind and not go by everything he is told by his advisers. I know he is young, but he is not a puppet.
@KKSCJR Of course he should listen to Merlin. I was referring to the Advisers in the court. Merlin's advice is great, but he is not like an "official" adviser. Does that make sense?

@sweetiegrl41 it's ironic that you would think that, because the actress who plays Bella in the harry potter movies is the same actress who plays Morgan Lefay in Merlin the movie. the one that has Sam Niel, Meranda Richardsion, Martin Short, and several other British actors who have been in the Harry Potter movies as well as this tv show.
