You know, for all the shit Kenny G gets from critics, his first three albums were fantastic. I liked him best when he had more of a funk sound to his music. Duotones was the turning point in his career when he started doing more adult contemporary-sounding material, but even that album had a few good songs (i.e., Midnight Motion, Slip of the Tongue, Champagne). Too bad Kenny didn't follow the greatness he established during his early solo years.
I love Kenny G! He is amazing!! I watch love watching all sorts of behind the scenes videos about him! Check out the Snap Snap Channel because it has the best behind the scenes videos!!
@pyrohr Yeah Barry was on a lot of folks shit man!! Bass, Vocals and a heeluva nice guy! He is still doin it, and I work with him. We will be doin somethin hot by the summer. Check out The Kay Gees new lineup at reverbnation. Gonna do some old school funkin this summer!!!
@OldMusicTheBestMusic LMAO! I Couldn't Agree More....Another On This Album Was The Song Treat Me Right....Kashif Made Kenny G "Urban".....Now This Title Belong To Wendy Williams,LOL!.....Just Kidding!
But Yeah, I Sang This In My High School Talent Show...& Won, So It's Kinda Special To Me....But like You Said The Came Songbird.....
Hey, I’m a young artist, & I would really appreciate it if everyone would check out my cover of Michael Bublé’s “You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You.” Although I’m knowledgeable that Michael Bublé was not the first to record the song, my version was inspired by his rendition, nonetheless. I promise you that you will not regret giving my version of the song a listen, & it will truly knock you off of your feet! So please listen & enjoy! Thanks!
I had to apologize to my CHANNEL for ignoring and MISTREATING it for all these years..I GAVE BIRTH to it on the 10th of DEC the year 2007 SHORTLY after I BURIED it..as of SEPT 16th 2010 I've been trying to RESSURECT it..but it only goes to show that IT IS NEVER too late to START..reconsider..BEING A GOOD PERSON..try..DREAM..aspire to be..FORGIVE..love..HOPE...that you guys are having a BLAST!..I LOVE YOU WORLD.
@cerelilqt easy !! Just press the "print screen" button. Then open a Microsoft Paint Bitmap file, press cntrl & "v" button, then go to "file" and select "Save as" and convert into a jpg file or a gif file.
every time i ask if someone likes jazz or the sax, and they say, "you mean like Kenny G?" I die a little inside. Thankyou for turning my favorite instrument into a cheap laughing stock :'(
When I 1st heard this song, I actually thought that Kenny was the singer. Accordin' to Billboard book of R&B hits, the vocal was done by a man named Barry Johnson. Hit #23 in Billboard, in '84. God bless!
@PopCulture20 No, but I could give you the number of who to call. It's record research in Menomonee Falls, WI. Tell 'em you're interested in the top R&B/Hip-hop singles book, and, they'll guide ya, from there. God bless! Their number is:262-251-5408, M-F 8a-12p, central, and 1-5p central. They take an hour off for lunch.
@PopCulture20 I just thought you might've WANTED that reference book.No need for name callin'. God bless you, I'll pray that you clean up your language. It's unacceptable, here on Youtube!
I must say, I really liked this video. I didn't even know that it was Kenny G. He should keep his hair short like this video. He looks ridiculous with long hair.
I remember my dad played the hell out of this song when I was 4 and never heard it again up until now. I've have been trying to get this song for the longest time!
@lwcubit i didnt know Kashif did this until TODAY and i was looking for this for the longest as well but i should have known this was a kashif arrangement because the begining sounds like howard johnson so fine,,, but he literally launched the career Kenny G. with the electrifying "Hi How Ya Doin', and "Nightime In Tribeca". says uzipolo king of decatur
Never knew there was a video for this. It came out when I was 9-year old 4th grader. I'm 35 now. The peak of Kenny G's soulfulness...thanks to Kashif. A few years later it was the beginning of the end.
This is the jam from back in the day, a very popular skating rink track, this is before Kenny G became popular, but even still, it's one of his best songs, quality 80's R&B/jazz.
the only manual labor he's ever done
