She'd already destroyed the miners by this point by closing mines, although it has to be said Arthur Scargill didn't really help and perhaps made this worse for the miners, but that's a retrospective point, at the time he was the president of the National Union of Miners and the force against Thatcher. After 1990, Thatcher was no longer Prime Minister.
