This song has been done many many times by many talented singers, but nothing beats Pavarotti's version. Phelps is good, Groban is good, but even Bocelli can't match Pavarotti's power, especially when Pavarotti sang this song in his prime.
I agree... morever, if you're looking for a pop singer doing a superb rendition of this song, see Michael Bolton singing Nessun Dorma. I guess it's not luck that Pavarotti invited HIM (Michael Bolton) to sing with him the song... hmmm...

The song is from the opera "Turandot" and the language is Italian.
God gave David Phelps an incredible gift. He has used the gift for Southern Gospel. He should leave Nessum Dorma to those whom God gave an operatic voice - such as the late Pavoratti.
i just heard him sing this at eh gaither homecoming concert in Orlando and it was amazing. He had the whole audiences attention and got a standing ovation. God bless him
I saw him this past Friday, and it was amazing...he does this song better everytime he sings it. Its amazing how much better it sounds live than on CD or youtube...this doesn't do him justice...live is AMAZING. Merry Christmas all, and God Bless! ;)
everybody else sings those last notes, and its like they are at the top of their register...and working at it...dp is walking thru the park with nessum dorma.luv it.

David es un gran cantante pero debería ser mas respetuoso con el idioma italiano.
Si David canta Nessun Dorma después no se quejen cuando Kraus o Pavarotti incursionan en el genero pop.
