While watching this video, and reading the comments, I think I finally understand the xenomorphs. They are the single most adaptable species in the universe, built to survive, not to kill. The only reason they kill is so that they can survive. They are the perfect creature. Another thought occurs to me: the xenomorphs can't completely wipe out another species, because they retain traits (and probably the DNA) of the creature they were bithed from. Their species is a catalogue that shall survive.

Well it has a lot to do with the location and atmosphere and who they were fighting. If you put a marine in that ship he would have destroyed the Alien in the first movie as well. All they had in the first movie were Flamethrowers, not to mention they were terrified and when you fear for your life you sometimes make mistakes. These people wern't trained.

@Symbioteposion One alien pretty much wiped out two Predators in the first AVP and it was a stalemate in AVP-R. I'd say the Aliens are more dangerous than the Predators, the only thing the Predators have going for them are the shoulder cannons, without the shoulder cannons... they are still tough but not much of a match for an Alien. as for the Marines in Aliens.. They had guns and range, but the Aliens still wiped them out and did it very well only Ripley survived really.

Actually, in that cut scene, the Alien dragged in eggs from the abondaned hive. It never laid them. Also, aliens are like insects: You didn't design them, H.R Giger did. If you think about it realy you forget about the nucular explosion at the end and the turrets, they didn't kill meany in aliens. First attack marines got ambushed and half of them where dead befor they knew they where under attack. One lone alien took out a dropship. The rest where killed easy because of how little room there was to manover. So I still think they wernt cannon fodder(Though Alien vs Predator: extinction game makes them that pritty much.)

Its created by the person who says no in a bad situation.
Its for the person who takes a stand even if no one else has or will, regardless of the punishment.

i wasnt trying to make them seem all evil ect... more like a beautiful creature, and the fact that in the alien films, the company are the real bad guys, the aliens are jus another group of survivors

i duno, as a film the 1st n 2nd were brilliant but in aliens the aliens were kinda reduced to cannon fodder, in alien 3 it was shown as a brilliant survivor.. but that film wasnt very good

@Symbioteposion I agree the First film portrayed the the alien as a monster where as in Aliens it became insect like... Also all the AVP movies show the alien as being less then the predator strength wise but the Alien I know can bend thick steel... I guess the Directors just like doing their own thing.

Well it has a lot to do with the location and atmosphere and who they were fighting. If you put a marine in that ship he would have destroyed the Alien in the first movie as well. All they had in the first movie were Flamethrowers, not to mention they were terrified and when you fear for your life you sometimes make mistakes. These people wern't trained.

The only reason they changed so much between movies is because each movie had a different Director. Therefore a different view.

@primagen77 i like the hive idea, but the aliens in aliens became too.... weak and too easily killed, if they had this hive idea, but they were all like the first alien, i would like that very much, and yeah, the aliens can bend and break steel, so id say they are as strong, if not a bit stronger then predators, but they are VERY agile, so in a pred vs alien movie they kinda need to even it out i guess

@Symbioteposion One alien pretty much wiped out two Predators in the first AVP and it was a stalemate in AVP-R. I'd say the Aliens are more dangerous than the Predators, the only thing the Predators have going for them are the shoulder cannons, without the shoulder cannons... they are still tough but not much of a match for an Alien. as for the Marines in Aliens.. They had guns and range, but the Aliens still wiped them out and did it very well only Ripley survived really.

@primagen77 the only reason the aliens suck in avp is because hr giger, ripley scott, and james cameron all said they wanted nothing to do with those movies because they lacked the representation of these perfect organisms that cant be stopped... " ash was right, you dont see people saying that in the predator movies

But if you are right, then aliens can t reproduce...Then those eggs were created by those unknowed creatures that people call jockeys and they only made those eggs, well all of this is theories, cuz no one knows, not Giger told or Ridley Scott, Well i just want a thing to say, I want the classic Alien back, not that crap alien from Avp1 and Avp2 movies or games that are pretty small and weak, I have see some photos of the original alien suit close to a human and poor human, so small

Actually, in that cut scene, the Alien dragged in eggs from the abondaned hive. It never laid them. Also, aliens are like insects: You didn't design them, H.R Giger did. Ridley Scott directed the movie. You have no right to say how they are and how they aren't. Plus, the one in the first movie was...Differnt. It wasn't a warrior. The ones in Aliens were warrior aliens.

For me Alien born in 1979 and died in 1986(Wen Aliens get out)They changed alien, theres some huge invasions of new aliens...Aliens are not like insects...theres no queen (You probaly sayng so how the hell theres new aliens idiot, WELL IN ALIEN1 IF YOU SEE THE CUTED SCENES ALIEN TURN MAN INTO EGG! YE!!!) Alien is a killing machine, I like pred too, But they screwed up both but maked pred go up, they now invent those homeworlds and those pyramids and those stuff...The original movie thers nothing

i duno cos i heard aliens can reproduce in amny ways, the drones can turn ppl into eggs, drones can shift hormones and grow into queens, queens can lay eggs and when a hive gets to big an alien shifts hormones and leaves to create a new hive and many other ways, i like to thin kthy can do all :D to make em more effecient life

lmao true, aliens have no gender per say, except the queen who i suppose uc ud call female, but its unclear as to wether aliesn r natural or created if thy r created im assuming its by the space jockeys, predators have nothing to do with alien storyline until recently, Aliens are all different but have no gender although in new avp predalien cud impregnate ppl like a semi reproducer, im happy to accept tht cos it kept true to the alien look and feel but hmmm

no bigger head doesnt mean greater inteligence, the aliens unlike animals use serveral types of sensors that enable them to "see" "hear" and sence way better then any animal or human, bigger head means a more complex brain

they dont, i think the alien in 'alien' had those eye holes but i dont know if that's where it had the eyes, even my alien warrior from hot toys have something that kinda remiond me of eyes but it's a sensor

If you think about it realy you forget about the nucular explosion at the end and the turrets, they didn't kill meany in aliens. First attack marines got ambushed and half of them where dead befor they knew they where under attack. One lone alien took out a dropship. The rest where killed easy because of how little room there was to manover. So I still think they wernt cannon fodder(Though Alien vs Predator: extinction game makes them that pritty much.)
