  • How sad. This lady spends a ton of money on a dog that a 5.00 pill would have taken care of. She never even said whats wrong with it. Maybe he's depressed or something? She looks like she's just way to friendly with that "male" doggie. aff aff sweetheart.

  • This brings new meaning to the "Pets of Bel Air " website, where they say "Check out some of our available puppies below (while they last) !

  • APRI or America's Pet Registry is not an AKC breeder. PURE breed does not WELL breed. Real AKC breeders do genetic testing to ensure a sound animal. Pet stores is all about profit and trafficking in misery. They buy from brokers who buy from puppy mills - period! No AKC breeder would ever sell to a pet store. NEVER BUY A DOG FROM A PET STORE!!!!!!

  • over half of petstore puppies are akc registered.... including apr, ckc, and more.

  • It may have just been something to do with the breeding of the dog or just something with the dog! It has nothing to do with the store... just look at my channel with my beautiful, healthy dog that I bought at a pet store in a mall!

  • Idiots rich people buy from petstores b/c they display puppies all nice and clean...unfortunately at a rescue or shelter they are dirty but all they need is a good bath and will be as beautiful

    and healthy

  • the people never fed dog that's why at the pet store

  • Its not just the pet shop that plays a part, its the 'purebred' animals.

I know several people who have spent thousands on their prized purebreds medical treatments, incuding 1 having to be put to sleep.

I had a foxy X chihuahua and she went to the vet 5 times in 19 years (3 were for nail clipping.) Mutts are sooo much healthier!

  • It's so sad. I've met this adorable wiggle butt and I am sad to know that the mother is in a prison, a canine concentration camp. The parents of those dogs are in PUPPY MILLS. That store ought to be closed down! Don't ever buy a dog, adopt instead.

  • "dont ever buy a dog, adopt instead" how do you know that dog you are adopting didnt come from a puppy mill and was then given to the pound? What you should say is dont buy from pet stores. buy from a breeder who has a great rep and home raises their puppys, dont buy a dog if youre not willing to stick with it through thick and thin, a pet is like a child, they need you. would you throw your child away?

    just my opinion.

  • LUXXIElove, I guess you're missing hollywoodjinky's point. Dogs that are up for adoption can be from a puppy mill, that's true. But when you adopt you're not financially supporting the puppy mill business which you are doing when you buy from a pet store. That's the difference.

  • This store sell puppy mill dogs from the midwest. PLEASE everyone stop going to these petstores and giving them your business it's the only way to stop the suffering. Go to Best Friends Website and research the horrible truth about the pet trade industry! Listen to Oprah now she will never buy a dog again. Thanks Darlene

  • Pets of Bel Air will close when stupid people stop buying from them. Caveat Emptor. Buy from a BREEDER.. do some research.. what stupid woman goes to apet store and then cries about the dog she gets there...

  • yeah in northern ireland theres NO pet shop which is allowed to sell cats or dogs. you can get them very easily at a rescue home or breeder.pets of belaire sounds terrible.i hate people hu r bad to animals.makes me so sad :(

  • i dont understand, i payed 2400 for my bulldog and people asked how i could pay so much, i got mine from a ckc,akc member who has 2 litters a year and were raised inside her house where i saw mom and dad. At a petstore about an hour from here in toronto, i saw bulldog puppies for $5000!! in a cage going mental and i dont know the parents temperment or health...why do people still buy petstore dogs??? ignorance???

  • Oh waaah, people with disposable incomes buying from a pet store as if they've never heard of rescues or shelters or even purebred breed clubs if that's what they want. Stop buying them and the stores will be forced to close. I'd rather see HSUS funds go elsewhere.

  • If you had listened she said that she went to a boxer rescue first and that they could not match her boxer with another. Then she was TOLD that the owner of Pet of Bel Air had went and found her one. She did not request that they go get her a Boxer. People should not get their pets from pet shops unless they know they do not come from puppy mills. I know breeders who sell their puppies to pet stores because people who pay over $2000 for them are probably going to treat them right.

  • I've gotten two cats from the same pet store and they are CLEARLY related, due to markings, both have severe temperment issues, and one had to be given away due to her inability to cope with the stress of living with other cats. Buy from rescues. ALWAYS.

  • So sad.. thanks for sharing! favorited! No animal deserves to be abused and I am very thankful to HSUS for trying to close Bel Air down!

  • Pet stores use puppy mills, and neither are concerned about the buyer or the animals. They rely repeatedly on the fact that once you spend a few nights with your new pet, you'll be emotionally attached, and be unable to take them up on an offer of "we'll euthanise this one and give you a different one"... this is yet again what happened in this woman's case... ADOPT FROM RESCUES!

  • PEOPLE who get dogs from pet stores are buying the products of INBREEDING--PUPPY MILLS DON'T CARE!!! They just want money. And when these animals get older--the weaknesses due to constant inbreeding--will transform into countless thousands of dollars in vet bills and suffering for both pet AND OWNER.

  • wow, this is so sad - poor dogs! what a terrible pet store! its wonderful that the HSUS is helping these animals. I hope Pets of BelAir will close
