  • "Embedding disabled by request" why ?

  • this is the reason why I love violin

  • MEU DEUS :O THIS IS WONDERFUL!

  • Certified Intergalactic!

  • Браво Божидара! Браво! Изключително красиво! И какви ролади само....Бравоооооо!!!

  • @ycMuBka i dont understand why you russians keep posting comments in russian

ya vas proshu, perestante pisat po russki pozhaluysta, americantsi vas ne ponemayut

  • Браво Божидара! Браво! Изключително красиво!

  • violino de muita qualidade otimo

  • 6:48 Allegro molto vivace!

  • think im inlove with the main violinist.

  • Itzhak Perlman's version is only like, 9001 times better

  • Zigeunerseele!Wunderbar

  • I love her personality that she puts into it. Very artistic and lively.

  • Excellent! Ausgezeichnet! My fingers started twitching watching hers deftly pluck and play. A difficult piece to master convincingly for ANY player (whether teacher of virtuoso performer!). The orchestra retreated to the background, to allow the focus to be solely on her performance. Great stuff! I did find the audience response a little insipid, though...

  • All I want to say is Ganz shoen wunderbar.

  • Dear : Zigeunerweisen,Bojidara Kouzmanova

We wish to express our gratitude for a lot of very valuable presents of you.

    Passage and {In the aspect of self-righteousness and to the answer from which it fights from which it fights}

    Thank you very much!!

  • Sloppy orchestra playing, but that's really the conductor's fault. And don't go all feminist on me, because she's a woman. She's just not a very good conductor, that's all....

  • Dear:Kol Nidrei Max Bruch (1.st part) {Zigeunerweisen } is wonderful.

  • this is my favorite violin solo

  • sarah chang plays it ALOT better

  • Bravo ,Bravo,,Bravo,You Play wonderfully its beautiful notes, its magnificent piece....

thank you .you did a awesome job.

all the best of luck &best wishes cheers!!!!

  • Her playing is incredible and her tone amazing. I love the rich, dark sound she produces on that violin. Great performance.

But there's still difference between her and Perlman and Heifetz in a few spots in the piece, if you want to be very nitpicky.

That said, none of us should be criticizing her, because it's a near perfect performance. And being second only to two of the greatest violinists ever is nothing to scoff at.

  • I feel an immediate shiver

  • 素晴らしい コンダクターに拍手!!

    オーケストラにも拍手!

    ツィゴイネルワイゼンは 彼女の演奏 以外はもう聞かない! 拍手! 拍手!

  • @manndorinn009 Dear manndorinn009, I am sorry I can´t understand what you have written !

  • @Peter1945 The comments given in Japanese meaning: Applause to the Conductor!! Applause to the Orchestra! Besides her, I would not listen to other violinists playing Zigeunerweisen! Applause! Applause! (Understand now ~ Peter1945?)

  • @Peter1945 google translator ~

  • @Peter1945 It's written in Japanese and let me help you if you don't mind. S/he wrote like, "A big applause to the fantastic conductor! And to the orchestra, too! I won't listen to Zigeunerweisen of no other versions but hers (i.e., Ms. Kouzmanova)! Millions of applause!

  • Smile at 1.30 = awwww jeahhh, I NAILED that shit.

  • amazing!I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • me encantaaa!! =)

  • Just beautiful...

  • Attention, critics!

This is GYPSY melodies. It's not supposed to be immaculate in every note.

She is ten times better than all those irritating purists with perfect left hand pizzicato, clean harmonics and zero soul.

  • Wow!!!! ich liebe es!!!!! das ist einfach toll!! Sie ist Super!!!! Toll gemacht!

    danke Peter!

    Marzia

  • Hey Ms Kouzmanova, I can see why you have 374,618 views. You are great. :)

  • Absolute classic

  • Just brilliant !

    Thanks Bijidara!

    Thanks Peter 1945

  • why does she sound off from the orchestra?

  • BRAVO

  • Great soul and technique--very spirited performance! Thank you, Peter 1945.

  • @Wavewolfaroha Thanks ! It´s a pleasure for me too finding so many friends of Bojidara worldwide !

  • wow! that was with energy and passion. impressive! shes very beautiful by the way!

  • Very nice music!

  • @picutapicuta I see, you haven´t only wonderful eyes but also excellent ears ! I like your vid´s too !

  • i heard her mess up a little

  • man, her neck looks so stiff

  • lol it really annoys me how the audio and video are off...anyways shes good but NOBODY has a better left-hand pizzicato than Michael Rabin (see "Rabin plays Zig")...9/10

  • veramente brava!!!! devo dire che interpreta alla perfezione questo pezzo......complimenti

    con affetto lory

  • Great performance. And what's wrong with her face? It's simply beautiful ;)

  • shes good but have a listen to Michael Rabin's interpretation see what you think

  • shes good, but no offense she makes that cocky little smirk on her face when she plays, which makes me a little angry for some reason

  • Don´t be angry, be happy ! This is a very authentic interpretation and Bojidara isn´t cocky at all! Music is for heart and ears, for your soul if you come into resonance. What your eyes see, is what YOU think !

  • Ok, I'll keep that in mind. thx

  • haha I agree ! Her facial expression looks PIMP. But I love her passion when she plays :) I wish someday i can play with such confidence as well

  • Thật là tuyệt. Cảm ơn!

  • Very nice but, I heard clapping by idiots before the end of the music.

  • how are they supposed to know without hearing the music before?

they clapped at the right time. the end of the movement.

  • you clap when the director turns to the public, wich means now its finished.

  • yes, when i played in a youth orchestra back when we performed in churches, the director would turn around and all the parents would clap for their darlings.

im guessing you've never been part of a professional ensemble.

audiences will break out into applause after a great performance. when the whole orchestra creates a significant pause, like the one that happens here, it is reasonable for someone to assume it's over. of course, it's a chain reaction.

  • i hate it when the audience claps early u_u

  • Such is the beauty of the violin and Kouzmanova. Would enjoy to see a duet between Kouzmanova and Samvel Yervinyan. Special thanks to Peter for sharing this amazing concert. I listened entirely 3 times. <3 Ambriel

  • Dear AC, may be it makes you as happy as me, but I was not only part of the production I even had the luck to be part of establishing this wonderful ladies-orchestra !

  • Extraordinary!! You must not only be very gifted and talented peson in your own right, but a very special person which I now have the pleasure and privilege of knowing a little about. Thank you Peter.

  • Oh Aquariel ! You are very charming joking about me ! I told you, I had luck !

  • She's Bulgarian, I believe

  • Großartig!

  • Bravo! Bravo!!!

  • I'll tell you, if I could play this, I would be smiling and you bet I'd be cocky! But I would have fun. How empowering, this earthy piece by an all woman orchestra - it kicks it!!! BRAVA!!!!!!

  • Beatiful music, violins and ladies..

    Who can ask more..

  • Do you speak German? Zigeunerweisen means Gypsy Airs... Gypsy music is about whoa!!! SHOWING OFFFF! Why do you have to be right? People sometimes disgust me. I love to show off with this piece it's kinda why it was written, my brother in the realm of psycho-spiritual-social-cultural-package of protoplasm.

  • @Aresholewins

yeah, have to agree with you. itzhak perlman played this in 1990,he didn't show off near as much as this chick.

  • *feeble psychological strength* i would like to see any of these sorry saps to play this at least half as well as her.

  • people are arguing over a violinist? wow, youtube is truly a place to find those of feeble strength.

  • LOL this woman is not playing this song emotionally correctly, if that makes any sense what so ever. and she smiles after she does something like pizzicato...which is REALLY cocky..she plays very well, but shes empty inside.

  • you mean shes playing like a robot, she can do it correctly but without heart? i guess thats your perception, or do you mean the expression on her face?

  • Great playing!

    Beautiful concert!

    Bravo 5++*****

    Amelia:)

  • Thank you for posting this. Beautiful! However it is too bad that you left the few bad and unnecessary images which are before the concert...

  • bravissimo !!! no words !

  • Impressive, extremely beautiful young woman! Браво! Прекланям се пред таланта!

  • Chudesno izpalnenie!Bravo!

  • god dyam ppl can clap for a long time XDDD...!

  • nice sonud...

  • This performance is with some small flaws, seriously.Look at 7:21,the notes are disordered.Just compare it with Mutter's version.

  • Comment removed

  • The only reason someone would be that picky is because they are jelous of the talent. The problem is your looking for perfection. You cant handle that someone who makes a small mistake but might, just might bring something you hadn't thought of to the piece. Poor poor comment. YOU get up and try it.

  • Oh and just in case you dont know who I am talking to, it is you Mr 7:21. Pathetic.

  • No matter you agree or not, there was a musical critic says, why we buy tickets to enjoy concerts?Because we want to hear perfect performance played by the musicians which others could not.Of course many people makes mistakes when they play difficult compositions. If the musicians also make many mistakes as us, why do we go to their concert?

  • That's exactly what I was thinking. There were several notes that were out of tune and that's just not acceptable. If it's not perfect, then people shouldn't be paying money to see them. It's really annoying when people say "then why dont you try to do that" because that's exactly it. Not everyone can play it perfectly, and only those who can should be performing it in front of an audience.

  • @joia111094 This is Roma music; technical "perfection" is slave to musicality here.

Anyway (and more importantly), it's art. If you are judging it by the technicality then you're missing the point.

Obsession over dogmatic technicality vastly flew the coop in the 20'th century. That's a whole 'nother issue though.

  • @TheJmills39 If I put a video of me playing this, would you listen to it. No b/c you would want to hear it played right, so you would watch a professional. Anyone can perform a song, but I think that if people are paying to see a concert, the soloist should be technically perfect as well as expressive and musical. Thousands of people want to be performers and are extremely passionate, but we can't all be. Thats the problem nowadays with pop music. People who cant sing, like kesha, are famous

  • @joia111094 I would actually listen to it, if I came across is, provided it was absolutely awful. If you use Heifetz, Perlman, Milstein, Oistrakh, etc, as the standard for what "people should pay for", then you're just setting an extremely high standard.

That being said; she has managed to have several CDs produced.... so, apparently she's is good enough to be "professional".

It's fine if you think it's inadequate; but that doesn't negate the validity of her performance.

  • @TheJmills39 If you wanna see me play, type in Arioso by Bach (Joia). I play cello and violin and you can comment on the video and give me helpful tips since u seem like you're a musician(not sure though). Thanks:)

  • @TheJmills39 If you wanna see me play, type in Arioso by Bach (Joia). My main instrument is actually cello and I am a self-taught violinist. You can comment on the video and give me helpful tips since u seem like you're a musician(not sure though). Thanks:)

  • @joia111094 The Perlman live performance actually has more mistakes than does this one.

  • @TheJmills39 If you want to see me play, type in Arioso by Bach (Joia). My main instrument is actually cello and I'm a self-taught violinist. I would appreciate if you gave me constructive criticism. I am no Yo-Yo Ma, but I hope to play half as good as him when I grow up.Thanks

  • No. you are Mr. Pathetic! ur also jealous of the soloist's playing so stop being a Mr. blablabla you idiot

  • Actually I have finished it as a part of the test to go into the junior high school of Shanghai conservatory of music. What I meant was not that everyone has to do perfectly in a performance, after all ther was only one Heifetz. However there's no doubt that it's pityful to see a musician makes many mistakes in a performance.

  • Stop being so critical, the playing is great.

Those who can, do. Those who cant, teach.

Those who cant do either criticise players on youtube.

  • @Muso8787

    Dear Muso8787,

do you think, that teachers cannot play?

So where do you think are those wonderful musicians coming out of? Are they just appearing out of thin air???

Maybe you should change your mind on the important role of teachers.

And by the way: Mrs. Kouzmanova is a teacher herself

    Yours sincerely, Adrienne

  • @Adrienne6418 I am a teacher myself, and a performer. I was just being animated to show a point. Relax.

  • @Muso8787 Great remark, except the fact that some players CAN teach and some teachers CAN play ;-)

  • Manifique! Bravo~!

  • like lie...the best composition

  • very difficult I know but it has to play clearly. without any detone

  • she looks better than stradivari...

  • I think that she did very well on the fast pace, not stubling down the notes, and her runs and left hand pizz were so clear, very nice on the left hand pizz especially!

  • the second part was way to fast, she missed a lot of notes

  • Hi. I have many versions and I can hear that missing notes, specially in the "pizzicato". The best (my opinion) is Josef Sakonov's version from early seventies.

Anyway, Ms. Kouzmanova plays very well.

  • shit the back ppl, are so boring. she play liike a robat, they don't even move a little bit.

  • 1:24 and a few seconds after....isnt that outta tune?

  • yeah, she was flat on the middle notes of the arpeggio.

  • just watch sarah chang playing this..

  • mann that acension at 6:36 gives me chills every time!

  • man if you listen to this without a shirt it'll give you goosebumps

  • Je suis agrable.Anyone who doesn't respond to this has no soul; I don't care what your favorite music is.

  • it kinda seemed like she rushed it a lot, she should've spaced out the notes a little more;

  • You don't know what you're talking about.

  • I think I do I've hear this piece 1000 times and she was definetly rushing it.

  • Her interpretation of this wonderful piece is nothing short of genius.

  • Genius that she can actually play this piece like so, I'll give her that, but if she wouldve added more silence and rests after the fermadas and such, she wouldve made it wound more intense..

Otherwise she makes it sound more rushed, if you will, more like she just wants to get it over with.

  • Easy to criticize what you don't understand. If she plays certain passages too fast for your liking, that's one thing. You are entitled to your opinion; but to criticize her for her "interpretation" of this moving piece is another thing altogether. Just be glad there are musicians of her caliber in the world.

  • I'm not criticizing her interpretation on the piece, I am simply saying that if she slowed down and relaxed it a little more, she'd get that extra 'gypsy' touch that sarasate intended for it. The tempo is lento.

  • Sarasate didn't drag out any of the notes like modern players do. There is a recording of him playing it from around 1900, you can't even here the high notes.

  • Agreed, this piece is dfficult and each has their own interpretation, I have my own I play of this

  • 06:49-08:36 :) (Y)

  • k bien toka la chica

  • omg the crowd started to clap at the pause :o

  • hahahahaha

"Don't clap between movements!" must be shouted before all of my orchestra concerts~~

  • The girls in the background look sort of jealous haha.

  • To reply to cwldoc, most orchestras are still, i believe, made up of caucasian men, and have been so for many years

  • let me re-word that. do you think someone's fingers could break while playing song? that sounded slightly better.

  • From personal experience I would say highly possible - not that I have actually broke my fingers playing it, but I have been left my unable to use my left hand for a good few days after bending it the wrong way! Absolutely fantastic rendition, really captures the emotion of the piece, quite faultless.

  • do you think its possible for one to break his/her fingers while playing this song?

  • bel video, complimenti

  • how old is she?

  • het orkest is vet ongelijk

  • wow 5/5

  • Imagine the reaction if there was a Vienna Philharmonic Men´s Orchestra or a Vienna Philharmonic Caucasion Orchestra, etc.
