  • today! mfukaaaaaaa

  • I had the chance to see Gary on stage during the "keep the faith" tour in Paris in 1996.A few minutes after the end of the show, the man was in the middle of the room chatting with his friends ! I went to him & he was more than friendly.A real class guy with charisma.

By the way, anyone could write the lyrics of "hard left" ?

  • We've got to stand against the Left...and hard!

  • Time to create the HLM (Hard Left Movement) in France... and the acronym could have an interesting resonance in French !

  • Oh yeah. It's Gary Clail's T-T-T-Tackhead T-T-T-TapeTIme. I wa livin in Boston in 88-92 sampling the local debauchery / club life. When first came on the club scene, industrial techno was just hitting it's peak, Gary Clail was one of the first live industrial shows I saw at Club Spit, with his Tackhead Tape Machine. boring show but great album. awesome club.

  • Tackhead with Gary Clail was the best version! One of my favorite albums!

  • Gary Clail: the best ever poet, composer and general dramatist. My unsung hero....

  • absolute industrial funk. some of the most talented musicians with non-watered down ideas. Leblancs drumming/programming still inspires. hes the fuckin man.

  • Someone told me to get to this show - a one off deal - at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver, CO. It was breathtaking.

  • Thank You Maggie for being Ronnie Raygun's Bitch. Rich get Richer and the Poor Get the Picture.

  • LOUDER!!!

  • funk this up.. LOUD!!

  • Saw tackhead at the metro in sydney with sherwood mixing so many years ago my ears are still ringing.but i dont mind.

  • saw them in Houston--the most painful show ever. I had to crawl under the stage and it still hurt--started crying--wanted to puke--- was getting penned in--so found out the best place was to have head between speakers as a sound barrier-- they hit some freaky "note" and my cheek bones vibrated... what a show!!

  • "my ears are still ringing" - me too! worth it though.

  • Brings back good memories..saw Tackhead at the I-Beam on Haight Street...early 90's, maybe late 80s??

    where are they now ?

  • @jamtubez I was at that show. Awesome!!!

They played the I-Beam twice; first w/ Clail, Mark Stewart; Then maybe two years later w/ Bernard Fowler singing. That show was good, but that first one SLAYED!!

  • What gave birth to NIN...

  • Top tune... Top work...

  • Wow, haven't heard this IN SOME TIME. Nice to see some civil unrest on Youtube also...

  • Fuck me - if Clail and the boys tried that now they'd probably be arrested and kept in prison with no trial! Awesome shit - way ahead of it's time and massively better than most of te crap that appears today. On U Sound at the control tower!

  • Excellent tune. Thanks for this!

  • une bonne gauche bien dure dans ta tête Maggie!

A good hard left in ya face Maggie!

  • Tackhead!!!

  • missed them once.

    missed gary.

saw them, w/like less than 40 or so other souls in chicago three years ago. thanked sheerwood fer the beats over the years...

    cool vid

  • good post. i haven't seen this clip for years. cheers

  • yeah!

  • A search hit on Tackhead !

    Much thanx !

  • I love the Clail/Sherwood/Wimbish/Reznor/PWEI family.

  • Have just spent an amazing hour (or more!) trolling through on-u sound stuff on youtube. Bloody marvellous!

  • My sister used to know Adrian Sherwood and as I result of that, I had the privilage of hearing Sherwood mixes of tracks like Hard Left that never saw the light of day, because the record co thought they were too wild, but I tell you they were absolutely awesome and Tackhead were one band that really should have been allowed to just go bezerk in the studio. Wish I had those tapes now!

  • yeah we need this type of music now

  • thank you. saw it on SNUB TV and haven't found it since then. What's my mission now? Fight the devil!

  • Somewhere I have the video for Ticking Time Bomb! I need to dig this up! What's my mission now?! I guess to find it and upload it!

  • thx for digging this up!

  • Given how this video compares with ones knocked out by YouTubers in their bedrooms I thought I'd mention that it was the official video, obtained in the 1980's from Southern Studios in London.
