Oh haha yeah I can see that, I have thought about putting some of the Aliens soundtrack to one of my videos but I've seen way too many videos get taken down because of it.

Yeah I was thinking of buying both (one guy on ebay has them both for around $510 US but $200 is too much in my opinion for the APC) so I'll probably just go with the dropship. Would you say it's worth it?

Totally agree you go for the dropship first... and trust me on this...

you will keep thinking of getting the APC after you have the dropship... (while eating, while watching this vid again, before sleep....)

What do know of the differences between the 01 and 02? All I can tell is that:

01: Seems more "weathered" / "shaded", NO queen, has pilot figure

02: No weathering/shading effects, queen, no pilot

Is that the only differences?

I had a toy like this..only it was smaller and made of plastic..it was like one of those starwars plastic toy ships that come with a pilot. I even bought a APC toy small enough to fit inside of the dropship. I wish i hadnt lost it.

in all this models of aliens droship i have noted that something is missing, in the last scenes of movie we see ripley using a side access ramp for passengers (in the back of dropship) to rescue the girl

i know it's a spaceship, but the design, sensors, gadgets, and what not on the drop ship make it look like it was designed during the Vietnam War... i guess that was what was state of the art back in the 80's.

That was the idea, it was heavily inspired by Vietnam war helicopters and it was designed to inspire Vietnam war images in people. That's also sort of the theme of the movie, a technologically superior force is beaten by enemies with much more primitive means of attack, just like the Vietnam war.

Hi lego...

Yap, the dropship is a plane that carry the a tank carrier inside it.

The dropship will fly/drop off from the mother ship (floating in space) to the planet below.

In our local earth language, The idea is same as:

Mother Ship = Aircraft carrier

Dropship = Sea/land assault craft

Tank carrier = Tank that run around on the battlefield

Nope.. the tank carrier does not come with the dropship. It is sold separately..

The dropship comes with the alien queen only.

The tank carrier comes with either 2 mini marines or alternatively, a mini aliens figures.
