Apperently you associate the concept of robot to a too specific thing. (I guess to a humanoid robot)

So the answer: it is a robot, which in this case a remote controlled (robotic) arm.

a robot is any offline manipulator that can place it's final effector in any point of its working volume and repeat this as often as wanted; therefore it's a robot

@rodengod i said offline, it means it has some degree of autonomy, there is mobile robots but a common rc car is not.
