  • The Hi point is the new Glock when Glock released everybody got all butt hurt cause it was polymer in ten years people will find a new pistol too throw mud at

  • do they make larger clips for these ik 10 rounds is nice but id like atleast 15 rounds even though ive seen expensive 45s with 7 rds

  • @justicerupe Hi-Points don't take clips, they take magazines.

  • I got about 150 through mine before a jam, but I rack it up to it being a brand new gun. Also, I found a trick to converting 1911 mags for use in the Hi-Point! Hold a Hi-Point mag next to a 1911 mag and you'll se that they are quite simillar.

  • im sorry but in life you get what you pay for. id rather be $500 poorer than dead due to a gun failure. thumbs this up if you like breathing..

  • @xXxrapidmodzxXx shoot one before you gripe about it.1000 rounds no jams

  • @xXxrapidmodzxXx you really havent seen what these guns will go through befor they even think about failing. go watch iraqvetran8888's tests on them, freakin unbelievable. and just being expensive does not mean reliable, iv seen time and again an expensive gun jam or break where the old cheap workhorse does not

  • there junk but there better than a sharp stick

  • I watched my dad's Hi Point .45 jam first shot out of the box. It still jam's at least once on every mag after being broke in and cleaned. His wife's 9mm Hi Point jam's every time it's used as well. If I'm in a hostile situation I want something reliable like my XD. Because my life is worth more than 150 Dollars.

  • @JLF1987 Video please?

  • @JLF1987 Sounds like your guns need cleaned/mantained or even repaired.

  • you will worry about the laser when you get to be 50 yo or better.

  • Comment removed

  • I think I'd rather carry the highpoint then the sig, 9mm don't stop a perp with a shit. one hit with the .45 & the perp's in the dirt.

  • Ive recently bought one of these,And im highly impressed with its performance and how accurate it was and to only be 150 bucks the only thing that does kinda suck is the weight but if thats the only issue, thats not even worth complaining about i would recommend this gun to anybody, And there are some mods you can do to this pistol to make alot better and there very simple upgrades.

  • I have the .45, the C-9 and the 995 TS 9 mm carbine. I bought after market high capacity mags and they work great. You can take the 9mm 15 round mag from the carbine and pop it in the C-9 pistol. How great is that!?? If they were crap, they wouldn't be sold out! Great video THANKS!

  • cant beat customer service :)

  • bryco arms......the jennings suk!!!!!had a bullet reverse on me and jam in chamber

  • couldnt say it better myself.good pistol.ive put well over 600+ rounds through mine with no problems whatsoever.i polished my barrel and it chambers like better.

  • This gun is featured in MW3. That must be saying something about the brand if they choose to put a Hipoint in a game about fighting a large-scale war.

  • I'm with dog2568 I'd buy a 50 cal hi point,or any other cal hi point would make ..but yeah a 50 hi point wooooooo....lol

  • love my hi point..,keep makin good vids on our hi points

  • If it's gotta be a hipoint the .45 is the one you want...lower chamber presure and slide velocity. Big slow heavy bullet...big slow heavy gun...beats throwing rocks and insults for $150 more you could get a 9/40 SW9VE/SW40VE and have a much better gun in a slim light carriable package or a good used Ruger P series...both US made by decent gun companies and both have been police issued firearms...used maybe $100-150 more gets you something a LOT better...no LE people careying HP's hhhhmmmm ;)

  • lol if your looking to protect yourself save the hassle of this gun and just save up because this hi-point misfires and double fires halve the time

  • I do not have a Hi Point Hand gun, but I do own a .40 carbine. I can say this my .40 shoots all day no matter what ammo. I run the cheapest Herters steel ammo I can because it is cheap and I like sending lead down range. I Have had no problems with mags or any fail to feed or fail to eject. I have not doe any polishing either. I do shoot with a huge Kimber guy who scoffed at my purchase tell he shot some rounds. Now he owns a .45 carbine, I think that should be proof enough these guns work well.

  • the only 1 i can find is 250$ where did u buy yours

  • is it reliable with JHP rounds. Can you shoot +ps as well

  • @saturnfanatic It will handle +P loads. JHP rounds will feed better if you polish the feed ramp.

  • @millerusaf thanks

  • i like my high point guns let the fool lol ate me cuse it my not be a smith but ill still blow your brains out of your head have anice day

  • I live in suburb detroit, everybody here has a gun from the drug dealers to the common people. You dont walk around or drive around here in detroit without a gun. For some hipoints are the best one can get.

  • I love my C9 and 45 , I wish Hi Point was making 22 or 25 and 50 cal. , I would buy it

  • as you know i love my 45 and i have plenty of other handguns like you. i really dont know why gun snobs down it so much. and with home defense i use this over everything else i have.

  • Noticed Josh hasn't commented yet, must get him in here for some banter...

  • When I was your age I didn't need a laser either but now that I'm in the land of bi-focals a laser on my defensive handgun makes a lot of sense. I can see well enough without my glasses at night to identify a target in minimal light and with that red dot I can know I will hit what I'm aiming at. Without that I have to have more light and glasses to be able to get a sight picture and when something goes bump in the night time is critical. A drop of nail polish will lock the adjustments.

  • Looking to buy a use one if u konw were i can get one reply

  • hi point works...nice vid

  • Nothing wrong with that gun; Iraqveteran8888 proved it! Regardless of whether it's a pistol, rifle, stick or stone, you buy what you can afford.

  • @bigdogbuc I agree entirely, never underestimate ANY weapon. After all most murder weapons are cheap kitchen knives and hammers.

  • I personally like a good bat lol :)

  • Best value on the market(period) for a male size hand. If your not shooting a tight group its 90% shooter. Like most other semi-autos most women have a hard time rackin the slide.

  • You that's the perfect boat gun to take on the boat, the perfect gun to keep in place you don't wan't to take your pretty guns. Keep in the glove box, of your truck. Keep one in the trunk, you where ever you don't want to put your pretty gun.

  • So this begs the question will Mr Miller be tracking down a .40 or .45 cal HP carbine?

  • Damn I hate living in california, this model isnt "DOJ approved".

  • Comment removed

  • Id like to try one can't bitch about it if I ain't shot it,thanks, great vid need more info

  • All American made. Everything. But it. Buy it because it works and it's from here. Many good Americans are making these firearms. I own XDM/Glock/Etc... but HP is getting my business from now on as long as they are reliable.

  • I think I'm going to buy one of these. I live in a bad area and if someone breaks into my home and I have to defend myself I rather the police take the $150 dollar hi-point for evidence instead of one of my more expensive firearms

  • oh and about the weight... its actually about the same as a steel frame full size 1911 its just the weight is all in the slide... so people that bitch about them being heavy havent really compared it to real guns.... heavier than the polymer guns yes... grossly over weight hell no

  • i have owned several hi points and always had good luck... i love showing up and out shooting guys with high dollar 1911's and the such... spending more on a gun or equiptment doesnt make you shoot better.... and with the fixed barrel hi points are actuallly pretty damn accurate, much more than a glock or xd, and thats fact sorrry if it bursts your bubble

  • Anything that goes bang beats the dickens out of a bat or a broom

  • Where I live it's NOT a 150 dollar gun, it's a 300 dollar gun and a tokarev is 180 here and a norinco 1911 with all the bells and whistles is 350.

  • What's your feeling about the safety? Would you trust the hi-point safety?

  • Miller you made such a kick ass video with your S&W Model 10... then you have to resort to this just to piss me off. You may need counseling.

  • gross

  • O look, Miller is showing more 20 dollar flea market bookends.

  • A custom 1911 is what you show your buddies on the range or at a BBQ; a Hi-Point is what you show some crackhead who's broken into your home at 3AM. :-)

  • @darkwriter77 People always laugh because I shoot Hi-Points....that is, they laugh until they see the tight groups I can get with these "POS" guns.

  • @millerusaf Indeed. Ugly, clunky, and less-than-ideal as they may be, I haven't seen another company out there that's successfully put out an equally effective pistol in this price range (and in adequate calibers). I just wish Hi-Point would make their magazine feed lips a little better on the C9, get rid of the "DeWalt drill battery pack" look on the mag base plate by making them flush-fit on the .40 S&W and .45 ACP models, and use standard Picatinny rails on all their pistols.

  • @darkwriter77 The "battery pack" sure is funny looking, but I noticed that it really helps with slamming a new mag home in a very very quick fashion. I think the battery pack design is another "function first" design for the Hi-Points.

  • As long as it gets the job done thats all that matters i actually knows some people who have some 1911 colts that were 900 bucks and jam all the time and are not as accurate as my hi point,

  • @millerusaf yeah i was impressed with a high point i shot at the range. I was surprised.

  • @darkwriter77 amen!!

  • the hi point .45 plus agood mossberg 500 or 870 8shot thats one well armed citizen ..stay safe god bless god speed...

  • Question for all those who worry about how pretty your guns are:

Would it make much of a difference to the bad guy if he were killed with a $3500 Uselton or killed with a $180 Hi-Point?

  • Looks very nice, Going to look into one. Thanks.

  • you can also use the 1911 mags in the hi point 45 carbine as well......really thinking of getting one.Very good guns for the money. They'll serve you well

  • just a tip for everybody, you can use 1911 mags in these hi point 45s...you just have to bend one of the holes in the side of the mag so it'll stay in the gun, look it up on youtube.

  • i know they work...but god they are ugly!!

  • Great opening line on this vid. The 2nd amendment is not just for people of means. More people should be supporting american firearms!

  • The advantage is you can buy 3 for what a glock cost. If you are equiping for retriet you can buy 3 of these 3 mosins and a couple maverick 88`s to equip the johnny come latelys that will show up.

  • i would own one just to test it and if it went through 400ish round flawless mabey it would be a bathroom gun i just think they are so .. so.. ugly

  • i still do like hipoint but i still think the mags are garbage. i wish they would go the way of keltec and use other peoples mags IE glock mags, S&W mags 1911 mags ect. that way the market for mags is alot bigger.

  • @poormanprepper That's called stealing. They'd have to get a license and pay royalties to who ever you wish, thus, the gun would be most likely marked up 20%, ruining its market. So if you can prove anyone stole anything from you, even if it was a idea, you can sue for 20-30% of each sale. You need a good lawyer though, Someone just like Henry David.

  • @hangemhigh2000 i dident say steal, i said use. of course they pay royalties. what the hell are you talking about? and yes the price would go up but also the companies like glock would make more money selling mags and hipoint on firearms sales. a hipoint 9mm going up 40$ in cost but using glock factory 15 round mags and 100% reliability is one hell of a fair trade off. oh god so it goes up to 200$ for a new gun, its still less than half that of a glock.

  • @poormanprepper Ask your teacher, I'm not licensed to explain. Why don't you build your own guns then, I do, you got all the ideas.

  • @hangemhigh2000 i have no teacher... nice back handed attempt to try and insult me though.

  • @poormanprepper What a ego trip dude, kick it down a notch. You said GLOCK and you said S&W didn't you? Well then. Not only your ego wants you to steal, but now lie to. Why would you put a 1911 single stack in it? My chip McCormick were $35 each? Some savings:) But if you insist. You basically have no defense for your jive. Don't stop on my account:) You might not be right, but your never wrong.

  • @hangemhigh2000 furthermore there is no real patant issues on the 1911 magazine anymore. thats why everyone makes them. they can switch over to 1911 mags VERY easily, hell i mod 1911 mags to work in a hipoint45 for my brother all the time. i think you just made your comment to feel special because you dident want to agree with me.

  • de ja vue i feel like i have seen this video from you already.

  • Shoot what works for You, often enough to get good at it...Self defense aint a beauty pageant, cuz glocks are dog ugly too but alot of people worldwide swear by them....................

    <---Isn't one of them

  • Question; should I trade my .40SW Sigma for a 45 Hi-Point?

  • I just ordered mine for the same price @ budsgunshop can't wait to get it this week

  • I will. I wanted 15. :-P

  • hi points are always ugly as sin..

  • I may just pick one of these badboys up.

  • I raise my cup of Evan Williams bourbon egg nogg to you, millerusaf!

  • Ha ha! 0:00 to 0:14 applies to me.

  • sorry but thats an ugly gun! haha

  • Use what you got (or can find) till you can't anymore or can get something better.

  • wish there were more guns made in the us i love this country we make great things it sucks that almost every gun is made out of country

  • I would never rely on another Hi Point for self defense. Save a little extra a buy a used RELIABLE gun!

  • You carry the Sig everyday

    it is what it is

  • @revistadearmas Thats cause the hi points a bulky bitch for Concealed carry

  • No. 1 Rule of the gunfight: Bring a gun.

  • I'm thinkin bout gettin this and the pardner pump 12 gauge man.....it might not be "manly" but I'm thinkin of goin with the 20 gauge youth model...20 gauge buckshot to the chest of "johnny crackpipe" is gonna put a damper on their day...

  • A hi point is better then nothing I go by this saying "an armed society is a polite society"

  • Great Video

    Semper Fi

  • Excellent video, I have the C9 9mm.

The .45 is my next acquirement.

Hi points go bang when they need to.

  • only queerbaits don't like .45

  • Love mine. Wouldn't trade it. Makes shooting .45 cheap.

  • Actually High Points are very rugged pistols. Take a look at what Iraqveteran8888 had to do in order to destroy a High Point pistol.

  • @biguy525 I agree cause I'm tough on my firearms and I'm a US Army female veteran.Something is better than nothing even though I have many other handguns in my arsenol.

  • I think something people also need to think about are hideaway guns....this is perfect for that....stashing a bag with ammo, light, etc etc...in various places...cars, sheds, bathroom...it makes alot of sense to have those options....and this type of product fits the bill, people should indeed support the company for filling that part of the market.

  • I have seen a 45 High Point barrel end it would make someone think twice before doing anything bad. I hope you will do a shooting video with it. thanks

  • Thanks for the Vid Miller. My long term goal (Once I get out of the PRC,) is to get a hi-point 45 acp and hi-point carbine. That way I can work with a common round of Ammunition for both of them. Granted it isnt sexy but it could get the job done.

  • U couldn't give me one of these ugly fuckers! Springfield armory and magnum research all the way!

  • @Edwardgbe I wouldn't pass one up if it was given to me.

  • An Ed Brown is $2700, and as far as customer service your fucked.

  • Do they sell refurbished ones? What is their number?

    Thank you

    Nick

  • @88Nick8 Never heard of them doing that. If you go to a pawn shop, chances are you'll pay new price for a used gun. My 995 was used and I haven't had any problems with it. A new 45 is around $165 in these parts. I wish I still had mine. I got the 4595 carbine when they first were availabe here for $330. I think that's still the going rate. If you get one (new or used) and it breaks, they fix it free and send you a free mag for your troubles. This goes for used ones as well.

  • Looks kinda cool...

  • The Hi-Point JHP .45 is the first pistol I ever bought. I have over 2000 rounds through it, and only 2 hiccups. LOL! EVERY Hi-Point pistol I've ever seen outside a dealer has a Hogue Hand-All grip on in! You'd think Hi-Point and Hogue would've partnered up by now!

  • The only experience I have ever had with these is that the .45 is really mag sensitive. The 6 of these I have handled have all been .45 and all hated certain mags. (I mean really had issues with certain mags!) Have you found that to be the case?

BTW I don't own any of these, but my buddy owns 6 of them. He bought them all in the same year and his thinking is something along the lines of bulk fire or something. Basically the more of them he has the safer he feels about malfunctions. lol

  • My next purchase is going to be a semi auto rifle, but I put in my paperwork to purchase a pistol at the same time because it takes forever to get approved in NJ and you only get 30 days to make the purchase. The pistol is going to be used to get better at pistol marksmanship and the price is cheaper than any .22 semi-auto pistol and the warranty is better also. A brand doesn't make a pistol shoot better, marksmanship basics and practice makes the shooter better, pistols are a tool.

  • nice price point for sure ....my buddy has this gun the only real downpoint it is very heavy and I mean heavy like chris christy heavy not newt newt heavy LOL

  • cool little.....well not so little pistol XD I'd love to pick up the Hi-point carbine in .45

  • Friend of mine loves his hi point 45

  • My brother likes his Hi-Point. It's his truck gun. It is what it is; an ugly, budget handgun that works.

  • i personally dig hi-points man. i just think the .40 and .45 are too big. you should stop by the BRYCO FORUM man. we miss ya over there :)

  • @1979aerocaprice lol...been busy over here on the youtubes. :)

  • @millerusaf understandable. just drop by over there sometime bud. a few of the guys thought you were still away. glad to see you still stickin up for the SNS!

  • Glad you take the time to post avid regardless of what the haters will say. Good info.

    thanks Miller.

    -TEW

  • Do you still have your 995TS?

  • @rufnek226 No, but I may get a 45 carbine in the future.

  • @millerusaf Go for it. They're every bit as fun as the 995. Cheek slap is a bit more noticable. I agree about the laser. Mine came with the package (only setup they had on hand) and it was messed up out of the box. Get the mag holders from Hi-Point that mount on the stock. They work pretty well. Ya'll have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  • I used to bash on the Hi-Point, but you brought up quite a few noteworthy points about it. Maybe later down the road I'd consider picking one up; customer service like that (especially for a cheap as hell product) is uncanny.

  • HiPoints are actually GOOD GUNS.

  • hi points suck they blow up....they are a pos anyone who owns one is a fool LOL! jk personaly I dont like them but I never shot one I dont talk crap about people who are on a budget I am so I can relate

  • @iowndunoob if you never shot one then wtf do you know !.....gezzz...some people love this gun...and i bet you can't name 1 person that blew one up ...that YOU personaly know !...and the crazy train rolls on...hey everyone love ta you-type !...peace

  • @seahorsecowboys Dude if you read my comment you would see "jk" which means joke...example "9mm is for homos jk" which means that comment was a joke, I personaly dont like them looks and feel wise however if I shot one it may be a different story im up to try any gun.

  • I'd fear a well-trained man with a Hi-Point more than some guy who spent $3k on a Nighthawk and never shoots it.

  • @ZombieTactics I'd love to have a nice Nighthawk Custom, though.

  • @millerusaf do you know of any cheap .357 revolvers that are decent?

  • @ZombieTactics Amen!

    Semper Fi

  • @ZombieTactics OR dont fear anyone because YOU train and carry top of the line gear.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Well, yes, Captain Obvious, lol. No reason to go cheap if you can afford better, that's for sure. ;-)

  • OH YEAH! I just gotta buy that 45 HI Point carbine now! Great vid! GOD BLESS!
