Silver is most probably the common descendant of Sonic, Amy, and Shadow. Hinted in 06. Silver seems to be closer to Shadow than to Sonic and Amy though.

But this begged on how Silver was related to Shadow, since currently Shadow is coupleless.

See, Sir Lancelot is Sir Galahad's Father in the original story. So since Shadow is Sir Lancelot in the game, Whoever was sir Galahad was Shadow's son. Apparently, the Japanese chose Silver.

Yes, both Silver seems to be related to Shadow. The choosing of Galahad as Silver's alias seems to be intentional.

Arthur's Queen obvious was scrapped, since this mean she would have an affair with Lancelot and reveal the true Arthur. Sonic's main squeeze (as in squeezing him) is too yandere/lovesick for that.

Interestingly, Lancelot was tricked to procreate Galahad.
