At least we can actually learn from this one, parents got upset because of the explicit drug and sex abuse, the primal teaching of this show for teenagers is how nowadays life is! it doesn't mean that watching this show will turn your kids into yonkies or gays or any other bullshit parents think they will! Ok, I'm neither British nor American, so I guess I'm quite impartial. And I think what's British must stay Bristish and vice-versa. There's rumors a possible American version of Doctor Who. What? Everything about these English shows is about being English and they're perfect the way they are. I mean, a British, I don't know, "Supernatural" with Dean & Sam going around the island on a Mini Cooper hunting demons on a British road trip!

I don't mind the U.S skins, but I think it works so well for england because its a british concept. the show embodies (maybe slightly exaggerated) british teens, I don't think it really represents america as much. Thats why it would be odd if england did a version of gossip girl, gossip girl works so well for america, and I love it, but I would also object if england remade it just as I object to the us skins. well thats my two cents.

As well as Cassie(Hannah Murray), Gorgeous Maxie (Mitch Hewer), and the rest of the cast that I am just too lazy to mention. Though, I do think US Michelle is fit. Also, for me, the original characters were more believable. It never seemed like acting. There personalities shone through their performances, that you felt like you knew them yourself. That makes me like them more, attractive or not.

For the Skins US version, they should not have used the original storyline, I know it's not precicely the same but it is way too alike. If they would have used another story, and if they'd not given 2 characters the name of Michelle and Tony it would have been okay. The second generation is season 3 & 4, with a different set of characters and a different story that was in season 1 & 2. The third generation is season 5 & 6, which has a different set of characters than the other 4 seasons.
