buy the real thing (pigs blood) by the gallon on the internet

or

add cocoa for darker color

Can you use any other syrup than corn syrup? For some reason it's hard to find in the town I live.

@EurDawg Hmm, you could try golden syrup or pancake syrup. We've heard that some video creators have had success with those. I've also heard of people substituting chocolate syrup for a deeper color, but I couldn't say how successful that would be in this recipe.

I gonna make a prop cosidering splashing fake blood on a Baseball Bat. I dont think it would stay on the wood after it dries up, what should i do to counter this? should i add something that makes the fake blood solution becomes more "parmanent"?

@gerubax You could spatter some dark red paint on the beat if you want it to hold longer. Otherwise, you'll have to keep reapplying the mixture.

I just used red food coloring and it's good enough i soesn't traspare and it changes looks and tone depending on the amount when it's a small amount it's bright red and sort of translucent and when it's a lot of it it's nearly black the only problem it give it that it's hard to get of from skink and clothes
