and this was acutally a in-team practice game with QXC (obviously) and he specfically said that he wanted to try practicing vs reapers, seeing if it's possible to hold it off effectively without roaches or spine, which he said after it isn't ^^ lol.

People who give reapers a hard time just aren't good at micro. Repears with upgrades are only really countered by blink stalkers, air, or good base control. If they're putting off 3 roaches or stalkers to deal with your 4 reapers, you've already made your opponent commit many more resources to deal with the harass. In many cases, I feel like they're much better than air-based harassment.

@aesniper Probably wouldn't. Spanishiwa's scouting is too good. He'd see the reapers and throw up a roach warren. Don't care how well you micro your reapers, even though they have +0.5 range over the roaches, it's not enough to beat the roaches' armor.

@lbd210 this would be shut down so easily with roaches as reaper speed comes extremely late. tgun actually had a roach warren for a while there but didn't build any.

Not that amazing: TGun played greedy as hell, like those 12 drones at about 5:45 while he knew there were still more than enough reapers to kill all of his lings and even a queen. It was his loss more than qxc's win.

@armoric TGun didn't really have a choice IMO, the reapers were already doing pretty swell damage, and he needed to recover and keep up in terms of economy. Either mass ling into an obvious counter attack, and fall massively behind, or hope reaper production was cut and try to make the best out of the situation.

If you ever have trouble with Zerg as Terran, just harass them very early (reapers or hellions) and then push out with marine tank when you have 3 tanks. Won 20 games and lost 5 with this playstyle against Zerg. If you try to go into the long macro game with Zerg, you'll most likely lose. (at least as Terran)

@bubba18sar High diamond. Zergs who get 3 spine crawlers and more than 2 queens risk spending those 750 minerals (or even more) on just getting defense. Even then you can still push in hellions which either makes them get more defense, delay getting zerglings, makes them spend larvae on more drones and will either have to get roaches or mutas. By then though 3 tanks and more constantly streamed will demolish any roaches that come by.
