@rayar8 there are laws against it. watch big cat raw on the bigcatweek channel - they say that many times. so even if they wanted to, they're not legally allowed, plus they themselves made a pact not to do it. and a hyena or vultures would probably eat the carcass of any animal anyway, so it wouldn't be a waste and wouldn't litter the plains.
Although, I respect them greatly, for the true love they've shown to the cats throughout the shows, I totally disagree with Simon King and their policy about not interfering with the cats in need, especially the cubs. If there was a lion close to a cheetah cub, I would definitely place the car in between or try to scare the lion away in order to give that cheetah cub another day to live and likewise increase their chances of reaching adulthood. Once adults, they could take care of themselves.

Cheetahs spots are different. Also they have a tear line going down there face and are slender and and long legs. They also have part of their tail at the end being white. Leopards do not have these characteristics. Look up pictures of what they look like.
I love this series so much. I've become obsessed with watching it everyday on Animal Planet right after I get home from classes. It's inspired me to go to Africa some day and see big cats in their natural environment. I would love to shake Jonathan Scott's hand too. He's my favorite of all the trackers. :)

The reason why people document and film big cats like cheetahs, lions, and lepoards because they roam in large landscapes like africa. Jaguars are much more difficult to film because they live mainly live in forests of southern north america, central america, and northern south america.
I get what you mean. jaguars like leopards are very elusive, it might take months to catch some of their trails. however, what i don't get is why they are so elusive? i understand why leopards have to keep their heads low in AFrica or Asia because there are lions and tigers there. Jaguar is supposed to be the biggest cat in north america. why in the world they remain so secretive? Are they afraid of cougars??

I get what you mean. jaguars like leopards are very elusive, it might take months to catch some of their trails. however, what i don't get is why they are so elusive? i understand why leopards have to keep their heads low in AFrica or Asia because there are lions and tigers there. Jaguar is supposed to be the biggest cat in north america. why in the world they remain so secretive? Are they afraid of cougars??

Thank you! I am totally with you. We have seen so many stories about lions, cheetahs and leopards in Africa. I think it would be nice for a change if we can view some other big cats from North Amercia like jaguars and cougars. Maybe tigers in india would be nice too.

@jedq yea but in India they have fewer big cats. and a wild dog diaries would be pretty...scary and unpleasant. and lot of dying and tragedy and violence. much, much more than the big cats.
