  • this is awesome

  • My mother is dying a slow, painful death from MS. She prays to god every day asking to help her. You know what "god" does? Nothing. After all, he made mankind in his image, after we made him.

  • @TheIDCLeader This may sound cold-hearted, but maybe it's not YHWH's will for her to live a long life. If that's how she's phrasing her prayer, maybe his idea of "helping" her is by letting her die/preventing further misery—and not necessarily misery stemming from her disease.

  • @TheIDCLeader Like King Hezekiah for example (a story in the book of Isaiah): he prayed for 15 extra years and in that time sired Manasseh who became a wicked King. Had he died when YHWH originally intended, he could've spared Judah of the wickedness and himself the agony of seeing his son live the way he did. Significant in that Hezekiah was a godly man and his son Manasseh decided not to be.

  • try telling this horseshit to someone in japan.

  • aww. I was hoping for actual evidence. This guy looks at a rock and assumes Jesus.

  • This guy is full of shit.

  • Anything 'good' in his life (even coincidentally) he's considering as a 'graceful act of God' which is totally bullshit. Keep lying to yourself - giving the gratitude to the 'higher being' that doesn't even exist. The word 'evidence' is used in a FALSE way here. Christians like to use words like 'Theory' or 'Evidence' without adhering to the strict measures these words evoke and the duties required to use those words (investigation, logical approach, undeniable proof, etc.)

  • Is this guy and actor? Is he making money telling people to journal to get to God. I love um when that take one little part of the Bible and preach and Teach. Just teach what Jesus taught. What would that be .. Really simple words to live by..The Golden Rule I believe its Matthew 22:v 34-40 (just taking a little out of the book like he did). One really doesn't need more than that.

  • This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. First on my list of evidences of God's grace in my own life, fasho.

  • In other words, the person making these video's. really needs to get over himself and deal with his own personal issues before preaching to others.

  • What exactly are you talking about?

  • Do you have problems with basic reading comprehension?

  • In other words, write down the things that happen in your life and attribute the good stuff to god. I'm sure this will make you feel better but you use the word evidence too lightly m8.

Unless the events are clearly supernatural (not just confusing or vague, but plainly SUPERNATURAL) it is not evidence of god acting in your life but of the fact that you are a human being with a life.

  • I disagree. Christian belief is not about the supernatural, but about everday life just as much.

The entire life of a human being is a "gift from God's grace" and thus everything good can be attributed to him.

On the other hand, so would the bad... Which is the more confusing question: Why does God let us suffer?

There is no real answer to that, although there are many attempts to it - all more or less not exactly convincing.

But yet again, humans cannot really assume to understand God fully.

  • That's why having a proper theology is extremely important....

  • @kamaujackson811 Yeah, even though theology is a bunch of bullshit in and of itself, at least a TRUE theologian would make a lot more sense and have evidence to back up his words and beliefs. This guy needs a fucking education.

  • @achatzb He provides a pretty clear answer if you ask me:

"More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope" Romans 5:3-4 (ESV)

He allows us to suffer in order to shape us into the people/believers we need to be. We go through real hardships to become stronger people, strong people who learn to rely on him.

  • I agree in the first part. But it does not have to me "supernatural", but for sure you must be certain that you could not have done that without the "hand" of God.

  • He's not talking about evidence for God's existence. He's not speaking to people who doubt God's existence, but to people that believe in God but need reminding of what he has done.

Basically, if you have good things in your life, and you understand God to be real, those good things make it evident that he loves you and cares for you and has done good things for you.

  • This was a very fantastic and inspiring message for me to hear.

    Thanks!
