I'd have busted a gut if right after where 2:02 a blue light came from the sky and blew him up! Seriously though, I think it was cool of both the game publisher and Akira's creator to allow this character in a video game, today you'd just get sued for that! Never seen quite a close likeness of a character or person in a game (like Fei-Long to bruce lee etc..), but then again only Lord Tetsuo get's the best.

No,he is not in Maximum Impact 2,if that's what you mean.

Eolith was the developer of Kof 2001-2002,and K9999 is supposed to be a copyright of Eolith,but SNK did not approve his resemblance of Tetsuo and is not considered to be a cannon character.

That's why I doubt if he's gonna reappear in any KoF game again..it's sad.

You know,K9999 is not the only character based on Tetsuo.Gaara from Naruto has been loosely based on Tetsuo as well.

For me the best Kof was definatelly '98.

After it,many new characters got introdused.

K9999 can be considered a very "cheap" character,cause he isn't even original,but I like him anyhow.

And K' doesn't have a standard rival,like Kyo let's say.

And yeah,I think that KoF 2001 was non-canon.

The most striking similarity between Gaara and Tetsuo is the big forehead.XD

But there are other things too.

Yeah? Yeah, KOF 98 is one complete KOF game. I really don't know which one I prefer, but KOF 2000 will always have a place in my heart. Love the way they completely renewed the series with new blood, new story and new music.

You know, the K' and Maxima duo really reminds me of Spike Spiegel and Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop. K' is one cool slacker, but is not completely like Spike. Maxima, though, is extremely akin to Jet, both in looks and personality.
