  • To be honest I cannot recall a time in my life when I have listened to a holy hip hop track and felt the Spirit of God. I have felt His Spirit (the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob) strongly enter the room through the song of gospel music though.

  • im 16 i love rap/hip-hop music and all types of music but above all i love my savior jesus christ. , with the love of god on my side the devil and the illuminati cant touch me so if jay-z says "murder jesus" in his song backwards idc because i love jesus and i have a good and ever growing relationship with god.

  • KRS1 I ASK GOD IN NAME OF JESUS TO DELIVER YOU OUT OF YOUR SINS.

  • When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11 think about that

  • I disagree with using Gods word for entertainment. Thats what the world does!!! It should be to draw people to Christ to love to help us through life build us up encourage teach train inform correct rebuke let others see Christ. Another form of preaching and teaching. When we think of it as entertainment it takes away the sincerity and seriousness of Gods message our souls need saving not entertaining. Its nothing wrong with enjoying The Music but used for entertainment... Thats crazy!!!

  • Will I'm a GOSPEL/CHRISTIAN Rapper and I know for a fact that the music I produce is for the advancement of the Kingdom of God!

  • @Miykael305 THANK YOU MIKE!!! THIS MALONE BRUH! What are the odds ill find you on youtube LOL!!! Bruh I just dont see christian rap as being bad. Lecrae, and a whole bunch of other rappers get people saved all the time.....how is that WRONG?

  • I just want to say.. THANK YOU!!! I will be sharing this video with many.

  • Hip Hop is of the devil!!!!

  • I can see this being a problem a few year ago. And I mean "Holy Hip Hop" that shows the rapper off, shows the beat off more than substance. There may be some today, but you will see more substance now and a focus on Christ now. You could easily say a choir musician can be diluted as well. When Business and Entertainment are part of you ministry there is something to think about.

  • Beautiful message..after 3mins...God wants us to speak of him to others.it doesnt matter if you sing it or rap it..as long as its coming from the heart fill with god and his son Jesus Christ...

  • KRS 1 is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FOOLISH!!! ONLY CHRIST DIED FOR US AND WAS RISEN AGAIN! NO MERE MORTAL CAN DO THAT NOT WITHOUT THE HELP OF GOD! AND BELIEVE ME THESE RAPPERS ARE NO CHRIST!!!!!! GET THAT MESS OUT OF HERE!!! WE ARE IN THE END DAYS FOR REAL!!!!!!

  • I needed to hear that it is not the style of music, but the culture/lifestyle.

Rap is an art, but "hip hop" is a lifestyle, with certain ideals etc.. Got it.

Yes, the secular culture opposes holiness.

I thought ya'll were against certain arts... poetry? dance? etc.. got it now.

    Thx for clarifying.

  • kill it all!

  • I like (Christian-inspired) Hip Hop,

and there is a difference to testify God in this music.

The (Christian-inspired) Hip Hop what I'm hearing is called: "Hip Hope",

because "hope" will propagated rather than violence, sex and drugs (secular hip hop). And there's "Holy Hip Hop" which in my opinion is "fail ".

Because they preach on hip hop beats of God and, in my opinion,

is this IRREVERENT to God. there is a difference between "Holy Hip Hop" and "Hip Hope"!

  • ... It was like a poor man became rich and now disrespected his former poor friends. In the beginning they rapped to stop violence between street gangs. To rap eachother instead of fight. But then it became popular, then it became hiphop, and manifested itself as a culture rather than just music, then it manifested power, and then it continued to promote anger and disrespect as a way of life. This way of life, disrespect as a means of power, now rules the entire world. Even children partake.

  • Having rapped for 22 years, I witnessed the time when they started calling it hiphop. first they called it rap, there was breakdancing, graffiti etcetera. When they started calling it hiphop, I felt the spirit of it. It was a spirit of arrogance, disrespect, violence, anger, and just plain pushing love to the ground. There was no more love but only for itself. Before it was different, there was respect. There was good intention. But this spirit took hold of my scene, and they were not the same.

  • I think the term Hip- hop should not be used in the church. We have gospel rappers but we dont have hip hop rappers.Hip hop is a culture and that culture conflicts with the only culture we should be involved in and that is the kingdom of God.I have gospel rappers that I deal with and go to different churchesbut Idont bring guys who are promoting hip hop.

  • Brother, ive found the diffrence between hip-hop and rap,

hip-hop has Beats that manipulate the mind then controls the body,so even if its holy hip-hop the words are meaning less, were Rap is poetry, descriving and expressing the christian-poet/rapper's feelings in a spiritual waY.There for we can relate to it n praise/worship God in a musical spritiual way.its so clrea,

    -God Bless

  • I just want to know where are the Christian rappers that actually denounce and stand against hip hop? Why can't I find any that stand on the front-line against hip hop and especially "holy" hip hop? I can't even listen to Christian rap because I haven't heard any of them separate themselves, some just avoid the issue but won't directly speak against it... Are there any Holy Ghost filled writers that will speak over instrumentals and denounce things that are against Christ??

  • I am a Chistian rapper. I don't stand for Hip Hop/ Holy Hip Hop or any of that foolishness. I started rapping in 1984 an when I got saved in 1991 I kept rapping and my message changed as well as my life and lifestyle. The world nor most sleeping church folks would not readily recieve what I often have to say.

  • this music is the same watered down crap on the radio. real recognize real. dont follow another man. i dont rap, i put real life to a beat. God over everything

  • Thanks for taking the time to help people understand the difference. We always have trouble with issues when we start blurring the lines on things like boyfriends/girlfriends, hip hop/rap, gospel/christian music. It's good to see someone helping people understand the difference between what they might otherwise recognize as the same thing. THANK YOU.

  • Why aren't we funding this ??? I think more people need to know about this...TO HELL with hip hop and rap!!!!

  • @beejay822 Rap is not bad, it's just Hip Hop itself thats messed up.

  • This helps distinquish a little bit for me when I saw your last video everyone was slamming these rappers who I know are walking for Jesus in their personal lives insulting people dosent do anything for anyone. We got to seperate the good from the bad and not labeling them all in one bunch.

  • thats why im jewish now. they dont even teach at christian churches anymore. its one big party.

  • @missneka1125 The truth is the truth no matter what everyone elses behaivior might be. . Your gonna reject the messiah over what other people do. Look at the book of judges what the people were doing and yet they were still Gods chosen. Why? did Jesus suddenly quit being the messiah.

  • I Disagree that RAP music (Christian Rap) is ok in the church.

RAP: A style of popular music, developed by disc jockeys and urban blacks in the late 1970s, in which an insistent, recurring beat pattern provides the background and counterpoint for rapid, slangy, and often boastful rhyming patter glibly intoned by a vocalist or vocalists.I was there when it started (a kid) but I remember. this music is a bridge

1 Thess. 5:22 Abstain from all Appearance of Evil.

Rap is a mirror of hiphop

  • @SINGUNTO Noo... Rap is a form of poetry that started way before the 70's.Let me guess you are getting your info from wikipedia.

  • God said, "The gift comes without repentance". Why would God give me a gift to speak lyrics but then not want me to honestly bless the body of christ with a gift that he has given me? I preach the Gospel through song, That doesnt mean that I am a part of that culture. Put it this way..I'd be telling all the people in the hood that instead of listening to my truthful lyrics, they have to give up what they like to hear for an old school quartet or traditional gospel choirs REALLY????

  • @46theking go back and read Romans 11:26-32. God never mentioned spiritual gifts. Furthermore, rapping is a talent, something you practice at to get better. ITS NOT A GIFT. Now back to your loosely quote scripture:

For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance - God does not repent of his gifts to the Jews, or his calling of the gentiles. Now, what were those gifts...

  • @46theking "The salvation and deliverance concerning the gospel. For the gifts - The favors or benefits which God bestows on men. The calling - All such invitations or callings imply a pledge that he will bestow the favor, and will not repent, or turn from it. Repentance - This does not refer to man, but to God. It does not mean that God confers his favors on man without his exercising repentance, but that God does not repent, or change, in his purposes of bestowing his gifts on man.

  • @PRDirector1 @46theking As for your ability to rap; your talent is for entertainment, encouragement and edification of the saints. The world will not receive your message, its a hybrid message. The lyrics say one thing, but the music communicates another and besides can you provide for us biblical references where music was used to win souls.. YOU WON'T, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT USED.

  • @46theking. As for the gospel music, its was never ordain by God. its been perverted from the very beginning. A homo started and homos and lesbo have continued in it. Not all are gay, but the masses say the same things, we are doing this to win souls.. Music was never a spiritual gift. We all have the ability to sing, some better than others. Your talent is offered to God as gift: YOU SING UNTO THE LORD NOT THE WORLD to reach em..

  • @PRDirector1 right on that's a good point you made, some one need to do a video talking aobut this.

  • @PRDirector1 Ok I have a question I am not necessarily disagreeing with you but When david played the drum and the demon departed from saul was that ministrie to some extent....because when the pastor prays for an individual and hes delivered from a demon is that considered ministry IDK.....can you help me out on the question??

  • @PRDirector1 Amen.

  • "Rap is something you do, Hip Hop is something you live" - KRS One, a founding father of Hip Hop.

  • Hip is not evil .. If satan can conterfiet Gods music . I love it and believe God does too and its time we give Glory to God in RAP ... its not a religon its about relating to others and bringing them closer to God. . They are bringing Music to the young and they need this not Jz or the other rapers .. let s suport the efforts to worship God in any way that is giving him Glory and Praise . Country music does it Gospel does they are just other ways of expressing our love to yeshua

  • @annasfcw U can't flip Satan secular music N offer it2 God.Deut12:30 Do not inquire after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their? gods? We will do likewise31You shall not do so to the Lord your God, for every abominable thing which the Lord hates they have done for their gods. For even their sons and their daughters they have burned in the fire to their gods.32Whatever I command you, be watchful to do it; you shall not add to it or diminish it. This is adding 2the God's worship

  • The word of God says, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things,God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Rev. 22:18 & 19. We must pray for HIS will and fight that which he commands us az HIS soldiers to do.

  • wow this is really something to think about, i mean personally i love Christian hiphop or christian rap but u have to notice with everything in the kingdom of God there is a thin line we cant cross

  • da truth is decieved

  • So is that what KRS1 is doing when he talks bout the temple of hiphop? I really understand u guys. Im gonna do some research.

  • THIS IS ANOTHER GOSPEL!

  • Thanks for sharing.

Rap is an element of Hip Hop (MC/Rapper, Bboy/Dancer, DJ/Turntabilist, Graffitti Artist). Therefore it would appear that what applies to "Hip Hop" also applies to "Rap"

  • It is funny how you think that you are not affected by hip hop culture and the very clothes that you are wear are influenced by the hip hop culture. I do know that it is hip-hop is a religion in itself and KRS1 is crazy trying to copy what God has done and that spirit is the devil because he is always trying to upstage God . Just like sex , the devil uses it for evil when God gave it as a gift for marriage .

  • So do you feel the same way about superstar gospel singers? I often wondered about the gospel greats that went on to make millions, produce videos, award shows all for the glorification of themselves. I wonder if you are speaking of the mega churches that are on broadcast network stations, fancy preachers, super producers. BTW, your studio and your urban hip hop gear is nice too!!

    Ms. Video

    ThatsWhatsUpTv

  • they got christians rappers trying to have a rap battle with JZ christians rappers got songs out trying to diss JZ thats funny christian rap is a joke they just wanna be down with the world that they claim that thier saved from i dont believe in jesus or satan i have my own beliefs

  • i really need to kno the difference

  • What Craig's talking about in reference to the Hip Hop culture itself is demonic. It is a subculture, that adapts beyond the boundaries of music to our very lives. That in itself is wrong. At first being an advent listener to christian rap , when I heard him say that was wrong I threw up my red flag but he has did a great job in clearing that up for me in this video.

  • The bible talks about false idol worshipping Hiphop is one of them. and i can't believe how much i spent on rap cds unbelieveable

  • @dannybammy man i have listened to a lot of Christian rappers that have actually uplifted me and helped me in my walk

  • It's very good to be able to make that distinction

  • Gospel Rap is the worst...

  • I listen to Canton Jones and I really enjoy the music but I notice that nothing is said about Toby Mac from Greg Lewis and those guys. But I really don't get what's wrong with the music.

  • Dang I Alwayz Thought Holy Hip Hop And Christian Rap Was The Same. Thats Why I Had So Many Questions, I Didnt Even Knew What To Listen To Anymore. Thanks For Clearin That Up ;)

  • Gospel Gangstas

  • Comment removed

  • I find that very few commenters here actually listened to this video past the first 3 minutes.

but for the record jesus is not real so get over it

  • what makes you think that

  • LOL gd look 2 u mate :)

  • yes he is hes very real and the sooner you realize that, the better off ull be

  • I had to find out where this concert was held with the folks dancing and this took place at Frederick K. C. Price's church in Crenshaw....WOW!

  • @ebonysweet601 Frederick Price ain't into that anymore.

  • wow a bible of HipHop? yea right..that's a mess

  • I'm wrong, your wrong, they're wrong we all are wrong , there was only one who is right and that's Jesus the Christ and I think that he would be happy if we all stopped listening to secular hip hop and listened to some HOLY (Christian) hip hop(rap) whatever!! its music for the kingdom by the kingdom

  • yeah your right

  • No lets call it for what it is, both christian rap and hip hop is not of God. Hip Hop and rap go hand and hand because hip hop is a derivitive of rap. Rap is not sanctified because it is a style based off the culture of hip hop. They are distinct but under the same umbrella. The truth is people: You either choose God or rap & hip hop (among other genres).

  • @sageify Gospel music is derived from blues. So, is Gospel out the window?

  • @ocbfdog Yes! Kick it right down the stairs.

  • We have to get our churches cleaned up. We have to be careful as to what we listen too. I don't listen to everything anymore and I can't stand todays music. I can't believe that this type of dancing is going on with concerts in the church. I am tired of hearing about MONEY in the church. I am only interested in the gospel of Jesus Christ 100%. Christian rappers keep edifying the body of Christ and leave the hip hop alone. Let it go!!!

  • Keep exposing them Elder!! God bless.

  • this is really sad. the youth is so impressionable... my children have taken heed to this message. satan is after our children. GOD bless minister lewis for exposing his agenda in our culture and in the church...

  • i grew up in the choir and there, under a homosexual minister of music/ homo asst minister of music/ homo musicians i saw how those spirits play church and play with GOD... under their direction homosexuals felt it was ok to come to church and be gay and bring other gays as well... they grew to be the dominant members and homosexuality was spoken of twice a year (maybe) because they brought the money. the devil's been trying to bring the club to church for years. looks like he's succeeding.

  • ORDERING TONIGHT!

  • lol at 0:31 Amen Tetaun!

  • Thank you EX-MINISTRIES for continuing the fight. I remember when I was a shortie and my brother and I used to listen to KRS-ONE. Back then, he was just a talented lyricist.... now he's turned into a HERETIC!

  • Yeh, i don't even go to no churches anymore, all i hear is about : invest your money, Christ talks to me and He says that the church should spend their money the right way, give give give....

I hardly ever heard a church elder speak about conviction under God's power, or hatred to sin, hatred to the things of this world, and love for poverty, simplicity, which is All that Christ taught....instead you get phoney pastors talkin bout Oh Jesus was rich, mad rich, he dressed well....

  • Babylon burning the church up....

  • That's why I don't go to musicals No more! That shake there butts, pop lock it & do all the latest club dances. Church services is starting to become a joke!! All take wanna talk about MONEY$ Harvest$ a Season & a breakthrough Never deals with ((((SIN))))

    That's why I Love EX-Ministries!!!!
