The Barenaked Ladies are NOT from Edmonton. They're from Scarborough, Ontario. Stephen Page is the only BNL member up there... I think Ron Sexsmith is quite recognizable! Ron has written a LOT of material for other artists and recorded his own material as well (Gold in Them Hills.. ) One of the other guys went solely by "Gowan" in the 80's
