  • i from WI to to

  • @RCCARCRAZY1

i order mine yesterday hp yesterday

  • the only thing i dont like abiut hpi is that there rcs are packed and its hard replacing stuff without taking it all apart

  • Sleepy731 yes you can

  • Question for whoever knows the answer, I'm getting a savage flux hp today I have a few lipos on hand 2s 3s, but none of them are exactly the same mah or brands, can I mix and match the lipos I use on the savage? 2+3s or diffrent mah?

  • Hey I'm really not a fan boy at all I actually have more traxxas, losi an ofna's then hpi, it's just kinda obvious when you review an hpi product that even at the unboxing before you know the kit you can pretty much see you don't have any care for it, the flux hp is a great kit the flux xs is junk , anyway love your videos an I'm on your forum too with the same name, thanks for all your work guys love the info

  • It's been out for over a year an you don't know what motor comes in it? Come on dude show some enthusiasm towrds an hpi product , I love your reviews an it's obvious you favor traxxas wich is fine but do be so blatent about it, your sarcasm while funny doesn't do the kit justice

  • @EasyDozit13 lol HPI fan boys strike again....ya'll think we hate HPI...we don't it's just some of their kits suck...just like Traxxas and others, this doesn't seem to be one of them....but it's little brother was a pile

  • I like most of your videos except this one in particular. Your 1st impression vid on the flux seems quite bias(on the negative side) You speak with a hint of sarcasm everytime you'd say something nice about the flux. And I know the reason, it's not a Traxxas. P.S. I love both HPI and Traxxas. I own an E-revo.as well. Remove your bias and put some enthusiasm on all your review or 1st impression vid regardless of the brand unless you're reviewing a really bad kit. Peace out. :)

  • Great channel. Great vids. Great car. What else could I want?

  • I'm getting mine in this weekend and i was wondering if the Gen ace 3s 5000 will fit in the battery box?

  • @BuhBuhhead YUP...it'll fit,I'm running my flux 2350 (same exact physical layout) with upgraded ESC with 2x 3S lipo's, fits snug, only need foam insert at either end to stop bumping, sides fit snug and wont budge. ENJOY man, it's a beast on 6S! too much in my opinion...but crazy fun! Hope you like replacing lots and lots of plastic!!!

  • @astout76 lol thanks i've already replaced the arms and pinion gear

  • hey guys, i am not trying to rush you or anything, but i would really like to see a running vid and a review because I might be getting this truck soon. Thanks

  • Comment removed

  • This or the 2350

  • @canadiangunreviewer I got the 2350, put a mid end (TORO) 120A ESC for $78 into it...now the 2350 runs (cool as sunday morning) with 6S LiPO total...2x 3S...WOW, i have been getting better and better at quickly "field" fixing this thing...So you can have the 2350 at flux HP speeds with only a $79 investment = $578 vs. $699 and up for HP

  • Sorry for the autocorrect : /

  • Hey I and interested two rc's the savage hp or Zorza hp which one will be best for bashin

  • Can you tell me the dimensions of the battery box's?

I just ordered a flux hp. I'm pretty sure my 5000 mah 40c 2s gens ace's will fit but I doubt my 3s 5000 may 3s gens ace will fit? I'm looking to order a couple 3s's and wondering what the dimensions are i need to keep it under. Thanks for the videos, lets see that thing being bashed!

  • @URABUSWRXSTi my 2350 fit the bat box no problem with 2x 3S lipos...snug on the sides with 1/4 to 1/2 inch room at eitherend (foam insert used)

  • what is better that or e-maxx

  • I use 3S 6000 mah in it :)

  • hey guys if your selling any of your tucks/cars

can you let me know thanks.

  • yeah here in canada there isn't as much snow as usual but just enough to make everything break in the savage.... There is about a foot of snow... The savage is a great truck but it makes winters LONG AND PAINFUL!

  • Hope u guys will pull of some standing back flips :D

  • the hpi savage flux hp has a 2650kv motor.

  • @4evervikingsfan no the hp version which is this one has a 2200kv motor

  • Interesting to see this. I bought the XS Nitro back in 07 and vamped it up and loved it. The crap I ran it through like clay pits and all sorts - amazing truck. So interesting to see a few years on that batteries are noe good enough to run the beast.

  • @iio58 Yeah Lipos have come a looong way no doubt were spoiled =]

  • @rcnightmare They actually scare me you know! haha. I have a B4.1 Factory Team here but I havn't put any electrics in it yet - the whole lipo fire and NiMH's exploding actually scare me hahaha. May just flog it and get a Losi 8ight nitro or Xray or something haha.

  • @iio58 If you are comfortable jump starting a car Lipos are no problem. Get a hardcase name brand pack and lipo only charger. Store at half charge in an ammo box. I've never ever had a lipo go up in my 10 years of using 'em. But hey to each their own man enjoy the hobby!

  • @rcnightmare Thnaks for the advice. Although thankfully I've never had to jump start any car haha. Although one thing I do have are ammo boxes so thats ok. Thnaks for the advice - if any I was going to go for a brand pack like an Orion, Overlandeer or HPI so they should be ok, along with a computerised charger so they wont overcharge.

I'll still probably sit there on a chair watching it until its finished charging just incase! haha. Good to know you've had no mishaps though :)

  • wow how you gona rage on something that CAN>>> bring joy to all its a sickness dammitlove it or leave...

Btw thanks for all the good reviews nice hq vids with knowledge

  • Why do you guys have to be so rich? It makes me jelous :(

  • @TreadRCRacing were not rich...we just plan, and save accordingly, both work full time jobs and have a nice supporting cast

  • mmmmm.....looks nice! I think I stat with my Firestorm :)

  • @TheSjorkjeis nice

  • what sorvo would you recomend for this truck

  • @5372john not sure yet, but almost cetainly will need to be upgraded...table stakes for almost all RTR's

  • NOOOOO! Here in il it just started to get really cold (was in mid 40s to low 50s) and it started to snow. But my order from hobbypartz shows up on wed (first day back to school too) and my castle mmp and 1410 show up late this week/early next week.

  • @nerdyrcdriver waaaaaa...lol..been in the single digits at night here...

  • @rcnightmare Well, we had fun on the last day before school anyway. My friend brought over his b4.1 and we drifted that around a sharp turn on a walking path. Then we broke it and used a camber link from my old sportwerks raven st (after some cutting) it worked fine. And I finished my 3 1/2 ft tall catapult and we launched random stuff at a giant lego sponge bob. It was a fun day even though I didnt get to drive my cars.

  • 4:38 Maybe they expect people to throw in their own radio system on a truck of this price.

  • @nerdyrcdriver I think it's so you don't forget to route the antenna. I thought we were done with this after 2.4 but hey it probably saves them a few pennies?

  • @rcnightmare Yeah, probably so you dont forget. I havent seen that on any of their other cars before though. I think my blitz already had it most of the way through and it was just lying down inside the truck waiting to be stuck up. (27mhz). Probably saves them the cost of a robot that does that, or paying one person on the assembly line to do that. I wonder if they make rc like they make real cars. Like one person puts on the wheels. Or if they just have people/robots build the whole truck.

  • Thanks for the video, excellent truck too!

  • @j2b360 thanks for the kind words

  • Are the savage flux hp and the new savage x 4.6 the same size?

  • @13kawasaki13 The savage flux comes with bulletproof diffs and if they somehow break hpi replaces them for free. Btw they never break cuz I have run mine for a year on 6s and nothing has happened yet. My e revos diffs have stripped every second run on 6s lipo. They are made of butter!!!

  • @rcfanatic123 the savage flux goes through just as many diffs as the e revo but at least on the e revo it's easy to work on and I've beaten a couple triffids at my track with the e revo and the e revo is far more innovative

  • @13kawasaki13 e revo toy like others veicles from traxxas,my emaxx breaks more than the exceed mad warrior that my brother have.serious this dont can be compared with the erevo..the only rc for me that have the same quality is the hpi vorza...

  • Plus the revo us easier to get to things and maintain because it needs to be maintained. Everything on it breaks after every run! The savage flux is a lot harder to work on because it doesn't need to be maintained at all, it's tough as nails. Also on wikipedia it hold the record for the fastest monster truck, not the erevo. 25+ foot jumps and nothing breaks on mine and it's all stock!! E revo is complete junk!!!!!!

  • The e revo is a freaking toy! A plastic chassis, a arms that must be upgraded to rpm, small shocks that bust after every hard bash, plastic driveshafts, diffs that strip every run on 6s, plastic geared servos that strip instantaneously, plastic spur and it can't do anything well. It can't be bashed hard like the savage flux can, and it can't race like a truggy can. It does nothing well and a truck that goes over 65 mph with is a plastic chassis is simply pathetic! Savage flux all the way!!!!!!!!

  • @rcfanatic123 ,,,they are all toys lol :)

  • @rcnightmare No, I mean it is almost a toy grade rc. I was in shock right when they released it as an all plastic rc that goes over 65 mph! I mean to me, from both a racer and mainly basher's perspective that seems completely ridiculous!!!

  • hey guys i like your videos alot i got an hpi blitz for christmas and i like your bllitz unboxing

  • @speedsk8i oh lol no hard feelings ;)

  • hey guys i love both of your channels. Could you please answer for me which one I should get and why. It is out of the traxxas e revo brushless or the savage flux hp. Could you also get a review out on both the trucks as that would help my decision THANKS!

  • @HyperSniper720 Personally E-revo all day. Handling and maintainence is much better. If you can wait just a little longer you can get the E-revo with big block waterproof castle. =]

  • @rcnightmare Wow! Does this come from Traxxas? Could not find anything about this. Would buy this immediately!

  • @TheApp9 HPI is the company

  • @rcnightmare Sorry, my mistake! I already had a Savage Flux but found its handling difficult.

  • @HyperSniper720

If you are going to bash, get Savage Flux.

  • Nice unboxing video man! Looks like a neat truck with lots of goodies right out of the box! Thanks RCnightmare.

  • @rcnightmare I really don't like the HPI setup on any of their monster trucks mainly because of the chaise.

  • When u put out the money for the Car , Truck , Buggy or Truggy I believe u should be able to call it what u want - KIT or RTR :-)) HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

  • dude do your research on the kits before you do a unboxing

  • @itsisme1993 this isnt a "kit" its a RTR ;D

  • @speedsk8i well no the whole car is called a kit its not referring to a car you build. i know its ready to run because i own one

    watch?v=0zqJmq9ig_Q

  • @speedsk8i just watch any of Squirrelod's videos on here and he refers to all of the cars as kits even if they are RTR

  • @itsisme1993 i know that, u were being a smartass so i was 1back

  • @itsisme1993 Yeah we'll have to get some advice from your unboxing videos....hm.

  • @rcnightmare or just a idea you could go to hpi and do some reading on the car before you do it

  • Should come with a Tekin RX8. Then I would buy one.

  • Happy New Year (almost) to you guys. Excellent job on all ur vids.

  • Its a 2200kv motor indeed. :D

  • hpi is to germany and uk as associated is to usa this is one reason hpi is so expensive here in the us never been a fan of monster trucks by hpi mainly just the hpi rs4 mt for hpi products goes the flure system is a joke everyone i know who has these has had to replace them ohh well what do u expect for a rtr

  • @biggdaddy2001 Dang one long sentence. Yes I am kind of expecting the ESC to stop working by the second pack. Just the way it's gone for me with HPI electronics.

  • @rcnightmare

lol why? It's Mamba Monster o.O

  • @rcnightmare Do you want some shit chines electronics to go with it. And it is a 2200kv motor that is in this truck and i bet this truck never stops working becouse of electronics

  • yup 2200 kv

  • I've got the Flux 2350. You're not going to want to go to 6s on this 4s is plenty for bashing and just having fun. Put 6s in this thing and you'll be breaking stuff much easier from what I've heard on forums, especially the drivetrain. The truck is awesome nonetheless though.

  • @jparks4081 yea, it always seems people claim their stuff is bullet proof....except for when you use it... :)

  • I love no snow iowas in the 50s!!!

  • @camcolecolby boo

  • Excellent review thanks for sharing...do u have a review in the new ECX Torment?

  • @aquito04 no we do not...we can reach out to them..

  • thumbs up if you with rcnightmare a happy new year and more rc unboxings!!

  • @Rustlervxl4life thanks a lot!

  • do u mean 3:00

  • Why not the 2350, it now comes with 2.4 and goes 68 mph on 4s when the hp goes 62 mph on 6s?

  • @rcmaniac13223 who knows...its hella fast either way ")

  • @rcmaniac13223 This one has 2.4. I prefer lower KV with higher voltage myself...

  • And its suppose to snow on Sunday tomorrow. But thats in kenosha

  • @MegaRallycar yea we may or may not to get to run this thing yet this month..

  • @rcnightmare Back flip over the dog in the basement. Haha

  • YES!!! THANKS GOD. you guys got one. This is my dream car

  • those shelves are filling in pretty nicely 5*

  • @248Samson indeed they are...have added a few more to help

  • I loved my Savage Flux HP, but man did it need a lot of hop ups to get it bullet proof.

  • @350zvj "past tense" u unload it already?

  • @rcnightmare Yeah, I got it last year and sold it when I got into Bajas. I had about 1300.00 in it plus what it cost and I sold it for 650.00.

  • I just got my 2350 version of this and it can take a serious beating. I hit a tree going half speed crashed while doing a backflip. And it didn't break anything. I have broken one part though but it looks like it would've broken eventually.

  • @puffmonster689 yea..most things do

  • Awesome truck. Got it a couple weeks ago and is extremely durable.

  • @jimmylovesrc glad to hear it

  • Awesome truck. It is same 2200 motor and the 17mm hubs are on the truck. The other hexes included are the smaller ones.Wheely bar attatches to the rear skid keeping that bumper. Very upgradable with the XL chassis, 5T conversion, suspension conversion, and one of the toughest trucks available on the market. Search "Flux like a Pro" for a 4s and 6s demos.

  • @mudweiser69 right on, thanks for the advise..

  • My all-time favourite truck, you won't be disappointed!!

  • @hbxhpikyosho glad to hear it

  • im jelly

  • @HowISpendMyLife im peanut butter

  • Had this truck for a little over a year and all i can say is stick to nimh batteries. As soon as i switched to 4s i started having tons of problems. Now looking to sell my truck

  • @rockthecatbox21 interesting...

  • I'd rather have a brushless lst2

  • @billzkustomz id rather have both :)

  • I've always wanted one of these , but they are a little overpriced. Nice truck though.

  • @RCNEWStv Pffff ... The ultimate basher is priceless ;)__

  • @RCNEWStv yea 650 is a little nuts, 500-550 seems more where it should be given the competition

  • @RCNEWStv

for what you get (durability) I would say it's "cheaper" than for instance E-revo.. if you get one, you'll never go back! :)

  • I really think that the brushless e-maxx is better looking and it has a true Mamba Monster.

  • @mrajo98 yea...were partial to it for now as well...well have to see come spring time

  • This or a emaxx brushless

  • @canadiangunreviewer well let ya know come spring...were still partial to the emaxx

  • Thanks a lot for reviewing it. Like I said in another video I bought one recently and love mine and I hope you guys love yours too! Can't wait for your review of the truck. Keep up the great work!

  • @rcfanatic123 thanks a lot for your kind words, keep an eye out on friend of rc for that

  • I hate the set up of hpi

  • @0701jim whys that

  • what do you do with the rc cars after unboxing and reviewing them

  • @TheRcking10 drive them

  • I like that truck but I'm really looking forward to y'all doing a video on a 1/8 TRUGGY like the Kyosho Inferno ST-RR Evo . That's the one I'm saving my money to get and add a electric conversion kit . I seen on YouTube this guy put some slick tires on it and made it a Onroad TRUGGY - Looked and ran real nice

  • @cokc23p36 yea love kyosho too..wish they wern't so pricey

  • /drool.... I want that truck.

  • @Skormm thats what i said

  • Wanted this one but k think ill wait for the hpi trophy truggy flux, what's taking hpi so long to release it they missed xmas!

  • @Sleepy731 not bad to wait...well most of the new releases seem to hit like Jan..

  • it would be nice if u review the hpi bullet st in nitro form. great vid

  • @calzaggii22 that wouldn't be til spring if at all..

  • i have had mine for few months .only drive train issues was the soft drive gear sheared after 10 packs

hpi make a hard steel replacement . diff bearing wear fast .few bent dog bones from skate park bashing.

few hub carriers broke as well ,,you can swap them left to right makes for a quick fix.

lose wheel nuts ,must crank them right up. few lost screws ,and the ball ends need replacing with alloy ones as the plastic ones stretch and keep popping off. dam tuff truck !

  • @450hp202turbo yea I always take the price of the truck and add 30% for the way "it should of come" :)

  • Price on this thing just doesn't drop much. Had mine for few months now... it's great fun! TVP sure isn't best to work on.

By the way... get ready to strip the wheels. This much torque + cheap wheel is bad. Wheel plastic is way too soft, I think. Stripped and wheel nut comes loose.

  • @xxgg yea..don't love tvps..thank goodness for brandon lol

  • Comment removed

  • hey you guys should do a review of the hpi trophy truggy flux.

  • @MultiDookey perhaps

  • 2:59 O_o?

  • @PhillieBRidin its just the plastic....

  • @rcnightmare I know, i was kidding dot dot dot lol;<

  • The electronics is just a standard mamba monster combo. The motor is exactly the same as the castle 2200kv motor, it's just in a different can.

  • @0RobotWarsIsTheBest0 yea surprised it wasn't "waterproof" not that many other than traxxas seem to truely be

  • @rcnightmare to date, hpi hasn't released a waterproof monster on any brand, so i expected it not to be "Waterproof" anyway.

  • Wow, you guys so far have unboxed the latest two are the ones that I've set my wallet to buying soon, this and the losi 5ive t, you guys should make a video on battery fittings and what not

  • @losiboy454 we can for sure the 5ive is staying in our collection forever!

  • it is 2200 kv

  • @scarboss49 right on thanks!

  • looking forward to my christmas present in january ( :( ), i know what this should like to be for you! but mine wont be the savage, ive got the e revo brushless :D

  • @plasmaflori its a sick truck

  • Sweet guys

  • @TheRclightning thanks alot! and nice work on your channel friend

  • Yes!!! Finally a new video!

  • @bradleyfsx indeed...were finally catching up

  • aw u lucky bastard, mines not aricing till next friday. i was just on the net looking up flux vids then ur vid poped up lol. looks friken sweet, thanks for the vid!!!!

and a happy new year to everyone

  • @TheHobbiest1000 yea...we shot the xs...had a awesome shoot...and then lost the hard drive...

  • 2200 kv

  • @airizonaforu thanks

  • Whats better to have cvd's or dogbones

  • @xXSniperzzXxGA pros and cons to each....price mostly

  • @xXSniperzzXxGA Yeah CVD's up front will provide smooth torque control under hard steering. Otherwise CVD's are smooth with heavy maintenence while dogbones are less smooth but generally stronger.
