1. Can the singer really sing this live also? If not, no respect.

2. I would have skipped the generic layering of lead vocals with guest vocals that fit the singer's style.

3. I don't think the 'distorted'/ graspy singing style fits the chorus, should be more clean.

4. No synth player on a song such as this?

Liked the overall production value they got, disliked the visual style to the point of sickening.

Yes, you are correct.

But what I had in my mind was a somewhat situation such as a guest musician in the recording session. Kinda like Rhys Fulber did with Fear Factory.

It's certainly not impossible to pull off, getting a guest musician to perform in your song, and it also shows that the band put some extra effort into that particular song/ songs.
