My take is: If someone makes jokes you don't like the best thing to do is probably to just stop watching their stuff and if it comes up in conversation be like "Oh yeah, not a fan." But to get really worked up about it seems silly to me since a joke, even one in poor taste is such small potatoes compared to the political and social actions being taken to disenfranchise or otherwise diminish already historically disempowered people(s). There seem to be better places to put that energy
That said, if a friend makes a prejudiced joke, I strongly encourage you or anyone else to speak up and point out what's up. It's sort of a charity starts at home thing -- talking with people whose opinions you may have some effect on is a great way to start a dialogue about issues that I think most people will agree are worth talking about. But yelling at people on "teh" internet is, in my estimation a complete waste of time and energy.
