Very true. But if this guy is not trying to please anybody or make fans why can't he speak normal? Would we get the same response from a woman saying these things? What about someone in a rock and roll style?
That might be part of his bit. I think he's showing how the modern church today has become more concerned with acting like the world, trying to draw people in with a watered down message that is intended to reach the world by their own means, speaking the language of the world. But when you listen to what he's actually saying, it becomes evident that he's not concerned with what other people think of the true Gospel. I love what he says @ 1:56 about the prosperity "gospel".
@ladylauramcg Basically, the way i see it is. its his way of expressing himself. And by expressing him self in the way he best knows how. Also in the modern society younger people are more likely to take notice to this way of expressing yourself. either way i dont' hear anything from this guys mouth that would suggest this rap is about gaining fans. Only reason he would have fans is because he is either a good rapper or her speaks the truth. in this case he is both.
